  1. 08 and 09 had Will Muschamp as the defensive coordinator. That alone makes those coaching staffs better until the current one proves otherwise.
  2. Get busy living or get busy dying. That’s goddamn right! For the second time in my life I’m guilty of committing a crime. Parole violation. Of course, I doubt they’ll toss up any roadblocks for that. Not for an old crook like me.I find I'm so excited I can barely sit still or hold a thought in my head. I think it's the excitement only a free man can feel. A free man at the start of a long journey whose conclusion is uncertain. I hope I can make it across the border. I hope to see my friend and shake his hand. I hope the Pacific is as blue as it has been in my dreams. I hope.
  3. Dear Red,If you're reading this, you've gotten out. And if you've come this far, maybe you're willing to come a little further. You remember the name of the town, don't you? I could use a good man to help me get my project on wheels. I'll keep an eye out for you and the chessboard ready. Remember, Red. Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies. I will be hoping that this letter finds you, and finds you well.Your friendAndy
  4. You must have been having too good a time......the NCAA run happened in March of 90, not March of 91.
  5. I think Plonsky's contract is up this year. I don't know if that ends in May or August, but I bet there will be some type of announcement of her moving on to a new and exciting venture and how much she has done for UT and how much she will be missed. CDC is going to ease her out of the way without pissing off a devoted portion of the LHF donor base.
  6. With a title like this, you would think he was a character in an Ian Fleming novel. There is more innuendo in this trailer than in a Bond movie. "George, I remember that doctor's name rhymed with a female body part. Dr. West? ... Dr. Whipple? ... Dr. Bussey? ... Dr. Mulva? ... I remember!! .... Dr. Clitterhouse!!!!!!
  7. So he was bored to death?
  8. The score was 45-10 at the beginning of the 4th quarter, but the coogs scored two TD's (one with 20 something seconds left) to make the final score 45-24. I remember the majority of the students were down on the track taunting the coogs for a lot of the fourth quarter. The players all had their helmets on and they kept looking around like they expected a riot at any second.
  9. I reckon you won't badmouth Missouri to Josey Wales. Not too many things better than a Missouri Boat Ride.
  10. Any talk of montages must include Rocky movies, and the first Rocky movie of the 80's was Rocky III.
  11. I dream of having a team that consistently has big fourth quarter leads and unleashes waves of fresh pass rushers on overwhelmed offenses.
  12. I saw it years ago......one weird movie.
  13. Let's get the ball in his hands on kickoffs and punt returns.
  14. Your sarcasm detector must have malfunctioned.
  15. And that is why they weren't considering SMU. Now that Blake has been furloughed, I am sure SMU will get into the picture.
  16. Tommy Nobis Perhaps the greatest Texas Longhorn football player of all time. Forgotten by those who have neglected to vote him into the NFL Hall of Fame.
  17. Ken Hackemack The largest human being I have encountered. I remember standing next to him when he had a leg brace on. I am 6'1 and the brace came up to my shoulder.
  18. Robert Strait My freshman year I walked from Jester down to Memorial Stadium to watch Cuero play two different playoff games. Both games Cuero had a comfortable lead in the second half, they had the ball inside their own 20 on third and short situations. Both games everyone in the stadium knew that Strait was going to run the ball up the middle. Both games Strait ran the ball up the middle, broke a few tackles, and busted 80+ yard TD runs. I thought I was witnessing the next Earl Campbell.
  19. Yeah, and with all that talent you had to play like a bunch of pussies to beat an 8-5 team. "Oh, stop the clock......my vagina is hurting."
  20. Mel Brooks fucked Mrs. Robinson. Repeatedly.
  21. The world needs more Eve Marie Saints.
  22. Yeah, he wasn't an actor....but he was better than a trained actor would have been trying to pull a Lt. Dan with the technology of the time. The scene when he showed his fiance what his nightly routine consisted of, how he was totally dependent on someone else helping him, is one of the most touching in movie history.
  23. The Best Years of Our Lives - A must see on Veteran's Day
  24. A Top 10 without anyone going to Duke, North Carolina, or Kansas.
