  1. Yes, but more importantly, Texas over TCU, preferably in dominating fashion.
  2. I would not say that it is assumed, but they could justify it the same way they can justify putting Oregon in front of us now. Clearly there is wiggle room for how a team is currently performing. At this point, all Texas can control is staying at one loss, and winning a little more convincingly. If those happen and we miss out on the CFP, at least we have improved enough to be in the discussion, which is more than a lot of Texas fans think is possible with Sark.
  3. That's how I felt about Richie Zisk. He was only with the White Sox* one year, but I learned to hate him that year, and never warmed to him when he was with the Rangers. *The White Sox were one of our biggest rivals back then. I still love seeing them lose.
  4. Yep. As I said, winning a championship is hard. Maybe one day, we'll get there.
  5. He certainly has his teams in a position to win one almost every year. One could argue that he should have more at this point, but I'm sure we would all be happy to live with that.
  6. I think the only quibble regarding his record is that he only has 2 championships. That said, only 4 coaches have more since the Wooden era, and only 10 have won more than 1. They are apparently difficult to win. Mike Krzyzewski 5 Bob Knight 3 Jim Calhoun 3 Roy Williams 3 Bill Self 2 Billy Donovan 2 Dean Smith 2 Denny Crum 2 Jay Wright 2 Rick Pitino 2
  7. Pete Incaviglia, aka "an adventure every fly ball"
  8. I'm just glad Ewers went with Merle Haggard and not Loverboy.
  9. I agree with Vic. Spend what you would on Ohtani by re-signing Garver and improving pitching depth. If we do sign Ohtani, I'll enjoy that too, but I do not think it is the best use of stupid money.
  10. What the hell are they doing? Don't they know I'm trying to keep my expectations in check?
  11. Pretty sure they are the "Fighting Nose Pickers."
  12. I see he named himself. How nice that he got to choose.
  13. All of this, plus we rarely bury teams when we aren't playing at home.
  14. I'd like to keep Garver and Montgomery. A few of the role plyers can stay if there aren't available upgrades.
  15. Her mindset, as it has always been, was "what is best for my game." Emily is very analytical and strategic, and is always playing the game. Her problem is that she tends to play her game out loud, though she is starting to reign that in a bit.
  16. You couldn't get Seager to turn around? Pffft.
  17. First game attended was in 1972. I was 5. I'd have to post a long cat to list all of my favorite players, but a few from the early years were Lenny Randle, Toby Harrah, Jeff Burroughs, Mike Hargrove, Fergie Jenkins, and Jim Sundberg. Good times.
  18. I don't see the logic in attempting to diminish the accomplishments of a team that just beat you when it mattered most. I'd be trying to forget too, were I in your shoes. In case you need a reminder:
  19. I love the concept, but I once again am disappointed at the execution of a Mavs uniform. It's sad that this still ranks as my all time favorite, entirely due to a lack of decent alternatives.
  20. The Rangers weren't going to let the Astros have all of them. Don't worry, You still have most of them.
