  1. In the bottom half of our bracket, unbeaten 6-seed Memphis just took out 3-seed Notre Dame, and awaits the winner of Pitt and Arkansas. Aggie and FSU are scoreless at the 25 minute mark. Live updates of the entire bracket: https://www.ncaa.com/brackets/soccer-women/d1/2023
  2. He's definitely surviving...for now.
  3. I saw it mentioned in another thread somewhere from the beginning of season 1, but not much positive, so I didn't revive it. I'm enjoying it. Neither the acting, nor the the storylines are quite as good as Downton Abby, but that would be difficult to match.
  4. I suspect there is a long line for that task.
  5. Bruce isn't running anything. He has good awareness, and is doing well winning advantages, but the only votes he is steering is when others let him. Drew, Emily, and Dee are playing winning games, with Austin and Julie in positions to make moves. Bruce will go as far as his advantages take him. People can win doing that, but it's the more difficult path. He may have to become a "take them to the end because they can't win" person to save himself at some point, but I don't think that is his game.
  6. Agreed. Good episode, though I'm really tired of "come on, Dad; hurry, Dad; come on, Dad."
  7. Clearly the men's and women's teams are sharing the same FT coach.
  8. Well that sucks. I really thought DeGrom was going to win it.
  9. Venues can be reserved for multiple days well in advance just as easily as they can be for one. If they are paid enough, I suspect that the ballroom owners would be willing to be on call for months. As you said, these things are planned well in advance. You don't think they are going to build in some wiggle room in case flights get canceled, extreme weather, or some other unforeseen occurrence that impacts scheduling? I get it. You want the race to be pure with no production manipulation. I do too. I just don't believe that it is, at least not entirely. I have always believed that there are times where decisions are made mid-leg to produce or at least favor a certain outcome. I could be wrong. I understand that editing can make any team more (dis)likeable. I also understand that some teams come by those traits naturally or exhibit behaviors that make for good tv. If I'm in charge, I'm going to want to see those teams stick around as long as possible.
  10. Why not? Teams have arrived at challenges several hours, sometimes even more than a day apart, even without any production interference. Do you think those bands, dance troupes, camel wranglers, cheese makers, cat jugglers all just keep at it during that time? Is it not possible that they are capable of turning the lights on with only a little bit of notice, and are compensated to be ready to go over an extended period time? Some legs are obviously less malleable than others, especially when pre-arranged flights were in play, but I choose to believe that the production staff favors certain teams to the extent that there may be occasional shenanigans at play. If it makes any difference, it seemed a lot more heavy handed in seasons past when there were multiple NELs per race, and they always seemed to save a team I wanted gone.
  11. All they have to do is decide if the race will continue now or after a stop. They can easily have contingencies in place and make that decision during a leg if a fan favorite/evil villain is struggling early. Obviously, that decision has to be made before the first team arrives, but there is no reason it couldn't me right before they reach the mat.
  12. Fine. We can get them tickets as well.
  13. Considering the 'Boys performance, can we get him season tickets?
  14. Our schedule hasn't exactly been murderer's row, but we've certainly proven that we are capable of losing to anyone, so I'll happily take Ws where we get them. I guess having to score 120+ to win is only a problem if you aren't able to do it.

That sounds right. I wish they would vote out the "wins only count if they are blowouts" rule while they are at it.

Congrats on missing the entire Turtle Tom Herman era. We've seen flashes of "all gas no brakes," but certainly not at the consistency that we want and expect from our program. The good news is that we are winning games that we would have lost in years past. Some of that is absolutely due to the talent improvement, and Sark deserves credit for that. Unlike many of you, I think that Sark is improving on the game calling side as well. Yes, it is happening slowly and there is clearly still a lot of room for improvement, but the mistakes are fewer and not as costly. Dominating on the road, especially late in the season, is not as easy as some of you think it should be. One Top 25 road team won by double digits yesterday. One. It won't get any easier the rest of the way, but every one of you should expect that by now.
  17. These are my top three/four as well.
  18. Yes, I think that was Kaleb's intent, and we were led by the editing to believe that it might work, but I don't believe for a second that Katurah ever had any intention of going through with it. Willingly going to rocks when you have the power to avoid it would be colossally stupid. I'm not a fan of Katurah, but I don't think she is that dumb.
  19. I really thought Kaleb was going to be in it for a bit longer. At least he made the jury. They made it look like telling Katurah about Bruce's idol is what turned her to the other side, but I think that was editing bullshit. She would have been crazy to be willing to go to rocks if she could easily avoid it by voting out Kaleb. One Lulu left.
  20. "Berate" the players, not "ate" the players.
