  1. Count me with those who order online, and often run into issues with availability. I think there is sometimes an issue with items not getting reset to available after being restocked. I've also experienced occasions where varieties of items that are always available in the store don't show up at all on the website (varieties x y and z are listed, but not q). In both instances, I have been able to successfully get what I want by ordering a different variety and putting in the shopper notes that I prefer "q" if it is available. It does not work every time, but more often than not, it does. I also get weird substitutions where it appears the shopper was unfamiliar with the store, or was just being lazy, but that is going to happen. Under the circumstances, I'll deal with it rather than braving the store with the herd.
  2. Wes and Gwen did that early on, but unfortunately, they chose an agave that wasn't ideally suited for that, and it probably made them not so eager to sample other plants. Too bad Makani didn't end up in that camp. She could have helped with that.
  3. That was almost a shitty episode....almost. That sucks for Wes. I really thought he would make it to the end. I'm starting to worry about Bulent as well. Brutal conditions.
  4. The scandal shit is hilarious. New name should be the same as the old name. Washington Eczema or Washington Rash.
  5. I agree about Bulent. He's the real deal. I know the PSR is complete bullshit, but his is way too low. He's killing it.
  6. I avoid the earloop models for that reason. They are more common because they are easier to make, but prefer the type that I tie behind my head.
  7. This. Dude loves to talk the talk, but he walks the walk as much as anyone who has ever been on the show...at least as a solo survivor. His weakness is the group dynamic. That is the toughest part of the challenge for some of these people. If they made that a requirement of completing the challenge, it might get ugly.
  8. No. You're the only one.
  9. Smoking. "Hey, I think I'll light something on fire and try to breathe through it." I understand the addiction. I don't understand the desire to try it in the first place.
  10. Your avatar suggests otherwise.
  11. Blue six broccoli toast.
  12. Why didn't you make a post about Charlie Daniels? Technically, I did.
  13. If you are going to resort to oven cooked ribs, just have Chili's delivered.
  14. Letourneau gets mentioned but not Charlie Daniels? "Celebrity" can refer to pretty much anyone, I guess.
  15. I actually prefer the larger group dynamic over the pairs. Too many people tap, so the regular episodes often end up as a solo survivors. Surviving your partner is part of the challenge, especially for those who have the skills to do it alone.
  16. They did a tropical rain forest last time, but yeah, Africa is a beating.
  17. Athletic Club of the District of Columbia...or AC/DC when brevity is required. Of those suggested, I like the Wingers. I also like the Pigskins suggestion, as it allows the Hogettes to stay relevant. I'm sure it will end up being something with no creativity, Generals, Sentinels, Monuments, Senators, Congress, Statesmen, blah, blah, yawn.
  18. I think fans should show up at the old ballpark instead.
  19. 60% of the time?
  20. I don't wonder at all. Of course he is. Just like any other elite coach that inherits another staff's players.
  21. I've been a fan of this team since they moved to Arlington from DC, and probably still have a Dr. Pepper Jr. Rangers membership card and Jeff Burroughs signed mini-bat somewhere around here. I have never given up on any team, always having been a "fan for life" person. That said, I find this team challenging my faith. For the first time in my life, I am considering dumping a franchise from my lineup. One would think that if I can put up with Jerry Jones for this long, I can tolerate anything. Between a mascot that appears to be steeped in racism, to the fucking disaster that is the new stadium, to the complete lack of any discernible plan to improve the product on the field, to a roster that is devoid of role models and likeable personalities...there's nothing here to generate any optimism whatsoever. Maybe it's the age of COVID making it difficult to find excitement in anything right now, but fuck, this team is beating what little joy I have right out of me.
  22. This makes me sad. I have always loved the name, and felt it was one of the best among all the major sports. I can't speak for anyone else, but I had no idea of the history of the organization for which the team was named. If all of that is true (I have no reason to doubt any of it), then I would be all for changing the name. I can't imagine calling them anything else. I'm not feeling very creative at the moment. "Texas Racists" probably isn't the way to go.
  23. That photo is from 1952.
  24. I thought the Heart Attacks had to back out and were replaced by Deep Lung Infection.
  25. Mine is also slightly used. Do you have a maximum size requirement?
