  1. Good work Miami...lol
  2. We were gonna have that regardless of where, amongst the three he landed.
  3. Why are you guys taking the bait from Constant? They are keeping Venables and Midteer...that's good.
  4. The sport makes sense. The associated beauty pageant...not so much all the time.
  5. The media had built up Texas and Arch well more than they should have. There is nothing the media likes to do more than cover their ass when they overhype something by getting in on the frenzy of tearing it down.
  6. I'm pretty sure the committee is going to move us up to 13 or 14, just like the polls, give themselves enough wiggle room for next week's games to play out in an attempt to kill any and all questions/controversy off quickly. From their point of view moving us up to 11 or 12 would be unbelievably stupid going into the unknowns of the final week.
  7. It will be interesting. SMU lost on a game-ending kick to Clemson last year; it was close. I think if Bama gets its doors blown off as they did to FSU, that might change the calculus. Of course, UGA has beaten Bama head-to-head exactly once in their last 10 meetings.
  8. The current setup has a lot more teams still jockeying at the end and intrigue spread out. But, can you imagine the champ games next weekend in the old BCS era. tOSU vs Indiana would be an elimination game, UGA vs Bama would be a win and you're in game for UGA. Tech would be playing BYU hoping UGA slipped up vs Bama (not far fetched given their history) and they could sneak in. Goes to show how pointless these champ games have become in the current situation.
  9. Oh that's right those dipshits are still looking for a coach
  10. Been a long week...Chelsea has looked better than Arsenal today, especially down a man.
  11. The other question is why would LSU who probably just robbed the entire state of Lousiana's budget to pay for Kiffin be ok with him hanging out in Oxford for the next 4-8 weeks.
  12. Imma, don't be stupid. The expansion to 12 teams was approved by the 11 member CFP board managers back in 2022. Here is who comprised that body at the time....tell me again how this present set of circumstances was happening without agreement from conferences outside the SEC and B1G Members of the CFP Board of Managers are Timothy Caboni – Conference USA (President, Western Kentucky); Jim Clements – Atlantic Coast Conference (President, Clemson); Gordon Gee – Big 12 Conference (President, West Virginia); Jack Hawkins – Sun Belt Conference (President, Troy); Rev. John Jenkins – President, Notre Dame (Independent); Kristina Johnson – Big Ten Conference (President, Ohio State); Mark Keenum (chair) – Southeastern Conference (President, Mississippi State); Kirk Schulz – Pacific-12 Conference (President, Washington State); Satish Tripathi – Mid-American Conference (President, Buffalo); Gerald Turner – American Athletic Conference (President, SMU); Keith Whitfield – Mountain West Conference (President, UNLV). https://collegefootballplayoff.com/news/2022/9/2/bom-votes-12-team-playoff.aspx
  13. There we go
  14. They are, but nobody would have agreed to this without them. It's why I still think eventually the SEC and B1G say fuck it and go do their own thing at some point.
  15. Yep, they are kind of lucky Alabama hung on last night. Don't have to go play the SEC title game without Lane like FSU had to go play the ACC title game without their QB and looked like dogshit doing it.
  16. The one thing they couldn't do
  17. It's a red card. Anthony Taylor don't be a douchenozzle.
  18. I get what you are saying but seems like you could argue that situation was a player on the field in the most important position vs a head coach whose system and players will still be there on the field.
  19. YELLOW CARDS FOR EVERYBODY
  20. The problem is the coaches as a collective want this early signing period, this portal window, etc etc. The group at large doesn't care about the specific impacts on any one school or the sport. They want to generally get recruiting (both HS and the transfer portal) over as quickly as possible going into the New Year. And since most coaches are not playing in a playoff game and the NCAA is a soft cock organization I don't see it changing.
  21. Running Bayern in between two derbies with the injuries we keep collecting all within a week's time is a pretty big gut check for this squad.
  22. You guys give him a break. Executing 40 separate "foot wedges" and taking 15 10+ feet gimmes is exhausting work.
  23. Then you are deluding yourself. Look the aggy win was FUCKING FANTASTIC. But for all the reasons I was fairly confident we could win that game they were also not a good measuring stick for can we win it all. Neither was OU with their shitastic offense. We've seen those measuring sticks. tOSU 14 Texas 7, Georgia 35 Texas 10.
  24. Ask TCU how the "opportunity" to win a national championship that they didn't win worked out for them. Or Clemson how the "opportunity" to be in the playoffs last year worked out for them? Take a longer view dude...but then look who I am talking to, one of the most emotional reactionary posters on this site.
