  1. Michael c wright on Lowe post pod (paraphrasing) "Spurs wanted to rule Kawhi out for the year, but he wouldn't let them because he was trying hard to get back. People who were at the rehab workouts in NYC say he was working his ass off to get right, it just never got better." "Tony arranged the players only meeting. Kawhi stood his ground about not coming back til he was ready. Kawhi told teammates he would do anything for the guys in the room, but not necessarily for the organization."
  2. Fucking love stories like that. Good on ya
  3. Forget where I saw this angle - hell it might even have been on this thread - but I liked it: Given that Kawhi missed all of last season, it's almost as though they traded Danny for DeMar, Poetl, and the pick. Viewed through that lens, it's tasty AF
  4. Wow nice! Where are you? I am coming over
  5. Also depends on how heavy you pour. I am typically pretty disciplined at the house. Usually stick with a 2 oz pour and savor each sip.
  6. Someone please talk me out of the package revolving around Derozan/OG. In my head, Droz gets here and develops a 3 point shot + we get him to play some defense. If that happens, you end up with 70-75% of the player kawhi is. OG is a decent young prospect - the kind of guy who flourishes in San Antonio historically. All things considered, is that the worst outcome in the world?
  7. I hope his shot will improve with a little bit more consistent playing time
  8. In the words of Draymond (not a fan), there are 82 game players, and there are 16 game players. Kyle is more of an 82 game player IMO
  9. That is the assumption, I agree. I think it's more specific than that, though. The Spurs Way, as I see it, is not airing dirty laundry. Dealing with family business in-house, behind closed doors. Hell, as has been posited in this thread, even LaMarcus handled his desire to be traded in "the Spurs Way" -- and he immediately returned to his All-NBA form. I like to think Kawhi is still a fit for this culture, but there's a lot more to the family angle, and ultimately blood is thicker than water.
  10. If this saga has taught us anything, it should be that the player's culture fit with the Spurs is just as important as the player's talent level -- maybe even more. That said, do we know if Ingram is a "Spurs type" guy? At a certain point, beggars can't be choosers.... But I don't know if PATFO feel like beggars at this point.
  11. Brett Brown is basically a Pop starter kit http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/23216496/nba-how-philadelphia-76ers-formed-culture-built-win
  12. I don't know why he wouldn't resign with Philly. The team would be a contender for many years, especially in the east, plus they can offer: 1) great culture 2) doctors that KL trusts 3) more money next summer than LA
  13. I actually don't even know what a coffee barrel is - aren't coffee beans transported/stored in bags? I suppose chameleon steeps their cold brew in barrels? [emoji848]
  14. Seen on instagram I know this is just a marketing gimmick.... And I hate myself a little for being intrigued....But I'm intrigued.
  15. [emoji102] I have slightly mixed emotions. On one hand I love him as much as I love Timmy - they are both impeccable IMO. On the other, I don't want to see him hang on too long. I wonder if Marco allows for Manu to get more built in nights off. Could we see 2-3 game stretches where you just plug Marco instead of Manu? Manu was always seemed far more effective after a few days rest.
  16. Think that's right. But if Bron is in LA, doesn't a lineup of Simmons, Kawhi, Embiid + shooters feel like a threat to Golden State? Not to mention - it's Pop and Brett Brown here. "This is family business."
  17. LeBron to LA seems like a lock Rumblings that PG is re-upping for another year in OKC Unless the Lakers throw in several unprotected picks then my money is on a friends+family deal with Philly.
  18. I wonder if there is precedent for recovering from Kawhi's specific injury? Seems like at worst, he may never be the same - or at best, will have a shorter prime. If only there were a team known for maximizing an injured players' career. [emoji848]
