  1. I think it’s most likely this team would take a couple from OKC, but I wouldn’t be at all surprised if this was the year OKC swept Dallas if they were to meet. I can’t muster any emotion for OKC but I’ll be supporting them this post season. Will probably join some watch parties I’ve been invited to in the past by rabbid OKC fan friends and coworkers.
  2. Should be a mason jar.
  3. I always assumed most of you hate ou way more than aggy as a football program, but hate aggy fans far more than ou fans because of aggy’s unique brand of weirdness and obsession with literally anything longhorn. I work and interact with lots of ou fans and most are normal people in day to day life (with some egregious exceptions I won’t go into here). The aggys I met while in law school and while living in Dallas were something else, just bizarre personalities from first encounter.
  4. If it’s to slow down a fast pace no huddle drive couldn’t the player just slowly limp off the field to slow it down without having the trainers go on the field? This proposal is one of the dumbest ways to address the issue. Will trainers hesitate to address legitimate injuries or look to the coach first for guidance? Sitting out the rest of the drive, and I’d add the next drive, makes far more sense and has player safety legitimacy. This sport is just in love with choosing bad options.
  5. I think I read that it’s an alternate earth in the MCU, do the other Avengers/MCU characters appear at all? Do they not exist in this version of earth? It looks like a threat to all human existence, you would think all hands on deck. The alternate timelines have become sort of absurd and difficult to follow. Yet ironically Loki is probably my favorite MCU product overall. I’ll be watching.
  6. You’re literally the only person here standing up for Frau Adelson. Gee, I wonder why? Every accusation… I thought you and your rich friends were leaving out of protest?
  7. Lol https://www.on3.com/college/oklahoma-state-cowboys/news/mike-gundy-believes-he-would-have-been-like-johnny-manziel-if-he-had-todays-nil-money/
  8. I don't believe you, it's just not believable, nobody can pursuade me that any human being, no matter how stupid or biased, would think that trade made any sense whatsoever.
  9. And no championship team has 5 lock down defenders, most have some high volume scorers with subpar defense. Not to mention that Dirk was bad at defense for a large part of his early career as I recall and got much better over time, I always assumed Luka would improve somewhat over time, but even if he didn't, his scoring, and the attention he got opening up all those layups for Gafford and Lively far outweigh any defensive limitations. By a ton.
  10. Nobody is that stupid. Seriously, no way in hell a single person would do something like this out of ignorance or stupidity. It was 100% intentional. If that were true he would have shopped him around and received a ransom of future picks to rebuild. He got jack shit in return and sent him to the league's most valuable franchise whose star is about aged out. Again, intentional.
  11. I like Deion but the Shedeur thing is dumb and just fuels the hate. Hunter sure although a statue for a Heisman is more traditional.
  12. Every morning this week the sports radio guys have been hammering him for making a huge mistake because he’s not worth what he’s asking and others don’t want to reward him for how it went down. It’s still a hot topic. The next big story will be when an actual elite QB does this, that player will get paid, this guy just isn’t as good as he thinks.
  13. Why is that Tweedle Dee looking fuck called a "Governor" of the team? Sounds so fucking stupid.
  14. Those aren't buoys.
  15. I didn't like the Kyrie trade because I thought he was a legit psychopath. He did fine here, kept most of his crazy under wraps, and contributed to last year's Finals run, so it turned out okay. Any comparison to the Luka trade is completely asinine. There is no legitimate basis for it which is why I know with 100% certainty that it was intentional to harm the franchise.
  16. There's been a movement to eliminate cash bail and return the focus solely on danger to the public and flight risk. The reasoning makes sense, it's often a get out of jail pass for wealthy people and pre-conviction jail for poor folks. This kid was given house arrest with an ankle monior so there was some concern but not enough for pre-trial lockup.
  17. The part I don't get is why the state legislature as a whole would give a fuck about whether the Mavs move or stay. They've been against gambling for generations and nothing has really moved the needle including losing tons of revenue to the Oklahoma Indian tribes on the border. And I agree if she wants to move to Vegas the league isn't gonna do shit to stop her especially when she sets up that Dallas won't buy a new arena to replace what is already a fantastic venue, added to your point that she already bought their favor by sending a generational player to the most profitable team for peanuts.
  18. How tanking the franchise help get legal gambling in Texas?
  19. Why would the expansion fee for Dallas be that much less than for Seattle and/or Vegas?
  20. Pretty sure I’ll watch more Wings games than Mavs next season.
  21. I still can’t get over that this is real. We have to be living in an absurd alternate timeline or simulation. It’s literally a giant flying dildo and they made it into an all female flight? That doesn’t just happen in real life lol.
  22. He'll get his bag somewhere. There will always be a desparate program out there with some money (cough, aggy, cough). This is also the first I've seen that the SEC has a rule that inter-conference transfers have to sit a year? There's no way that's enforceable. If the NCAA can't do it why would a conference?
  23. I'm definitely gonna give this a try.
  24. I've seen this brought up a number of times and never seen any documented support so it's just a theory to me at this point. Also, would it really matter to the owners if the Mavs moved to Vegas and DFW was awarded the new expansion as opposed to expanding directly to Vegas? I'm thinking Houston, Cleveland, Charlotte, that lost teams then got new expansion franchises. Either way, what the owner is doing is intentional, there is no one on earth who thinks that there was any caclulus upon which the trade made any sense especially considering the lack of return.
