  3. Frank would likely have been open to the possibility, but not Bill. Bill was serious about his resource management, OpSec and hatred for mankind. Frankly, I'm surprised he let Joel know the code for the perimeter gate.

  5. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_old_man_lost_his_horse ~~~ It will be seen as a sign that inflation is cooling and that the Fed is closer to a pivot on QT. The market will place bets on that expectation. The Fed might comply. They also might not.

  7. Bill and Frank were mentioned in the previous episodes. Tess told Joel to take Ellie to Bill and Frank. Ellie decyphered Frank's radio code.

  11. Fuck me that was a solid gut punch. While that story wasn't fleshed out in the game, the emotional impact is similar to what I felt when completing the game. Awesome work. I think the last TV show I saw that had a similarly awesome episode was Better Call Saul when Mike had to shoot the German engineer. After that, I can't remember anything right now that is on this level.
  12. The reports I read (in the OP) claimed that there was going to be a limit of 15,000 coins issued by Zimbabwe. This report seems to say that there is no hard limit. Also, earlier report says 14,000+ coins were "issued" (minted?) back in November. This report claims only 11,000 (presumably through the date of publication in January) were sold: https://www.iol.co.za/business-report/economy/gold-coin-interest-remains-high-in-zim-as-currency-devalues-6d3a48ac-3ab3-4620-8ae5-81e07f00dc7e

If it's true, it would be pretty big news I think... https://yournews.com/2023/01/24/2499113/nevada-ends-qualified-immunity-in-landmark-decision/
  20. Police do not have the luxury to go batshit crazy on anyone. Shit like this needs a spotlight until the status quo changes. We really need to dial back qualified immunity, put police pensions at risk for compensating victims of excessive force and regularly and randomly drug test police for steroids and amphetamines.
