  1. Same here. I was at the bar Delirium in Brussels that boasts 2,000+ beers and a British couple bought my wife and I a Lone Star at midnight for NYE 2008/09. They were really good company, so of course we obliged. A few days prior in Paris, we were close to our second full week abroad and treated ourselves to a cheeseburger and fries at the Hard Rock Cafe. We love tasing great local food when traveling, but see no shame in grabbing a comfort taste of home from time to time to patch things over.
  2. I’ve come to realize my sports watching pattern revolves around weather. The garage is October-April, the summer months are game room time.
  3. I have a feeling they’re trying to up Kemp’s trade value.
  4. It's for a negative drug test. Orbit is required to always be on drugs.
  5. Agreed. As of last week, half of their wins were by one run. That’s not sustainable.
  6. And the Astros get a medley of Arlington, Oakland, KC, and Tampa between now and then. It's definitely an opportunity to take control by the allstar break.
  7. I go to the Hop Stop 2-3 times a month, great beer place way out in this part of the city. It's owned by a couple; I grew up with the wife. Very good people. Cool to see their place get mentioned. My routine is usually to hit the Hop Stop and Ingenious Brewery back to back.
  8. That sounds Iike we don't have a closer and will be buyers for one at the deadline.
  9. Yeah, I was really disappointed in St Arnold's attempt at a hazy, especially after trying it next to one of Spindletap's hazy IPAs.
  10. Rudy And Paco's is our usual go to for a nice dinner.
  11. “By far one of my favorite...” How can something simultaneously be ‘by far’ and still in a group with other things?
  12. The Rockets did win the season opener at Oracle without CP3, so there's that. I mean, he played, but he was injured going in and bowed out in the second half and then missed the next month as he wasn't healthy enough to start the season.
  13. Luc is a shell of himself right now. He would be a huge asset in this series if fully healthy.
  14. I did this during Game 3 at Fenway last year and never turned it back on that series. When the announcers started talking about the Green Monster having "a pulse" and being "a living breathing creature", I felt that I had had enough Boston hyperbole.
  15. When they mention it twice, you know they really like it.
  16. I’m not so sure about Cleveland, right now. Super top heavy team. They have very good front end of the rotation pitching and a very good lineup 1-5, but tons of issues at the bottom of the order and a statistically horrible bullpen. They have really good pieces and really bad pieces, which makes sense considering they’re a .500 team almost a third of the way through the season.
  17. The Snoop interview was great. I still love most of Howard’s interviews. The ones I don’t care for are typically the fault of a weak guest.
  18. This has been the CF angle since beginning of last season. Great for seeing movement on pitches.
