  1. And that's fine. But calling it an NBA record or saying she broke an NBA record is fucking stupid.
  2. It is absolutely a ridiculous performance. It is also not an NBA record. WTF
  3. Was this one of those men's rights groups? Your advice was terrible.
  4. Right, right, right right right. Same rationale for my wife banning threesomes with Natalie Portman. Makes sense. Got to get out in front of these things.
  5. So what's the theory? How does exposing children to said theory, which again, is not happening and never has, make them dumber?
  6. troph can come but the rest of you fuckers stay away. infrastructure cannot handle population surge.
  7. Maybe disambiguate SIL. I assumed it was your wife's sister or your brother's wife.
  8. My mom just gushed about this movie and Jim Caviezel to me this morning. I had never heard of it. Didn't realize it was some Q propaganda nonsense but totally not surprising given the bubble she's in right now.
  9. Fuck that piece of shit cop.
  10. It makes even less sense if he's a bench guy. You really want to give $20+M/yr to a guy coming of the bench who cannot get a bucket?
  11. The Shipley disrespect on here is astonishing. People underestimate the toll injuries took on him but that man was greatness. His kick return against OU is one of my favorite plays of all time.
  12. Wait, Dillon Brooks is Canadian? I thought they were supposed to be nice?
  13. I was going to say that but then realized it just made me sound and feel old. #kidsthesedays
  14. Herro has two glaring negatives in his game: he still takes and misses a lot of bad 2-pt shots and he does not play good defense. Both are fixable with maturity. I did think his contract had 3 years remaining rather than 4, which was wrong. Still, I would not consider his contract bad on the level of Jordan Poole or Bradley Beal. I would put it at better value than Tobias Harris's contract, for example. I think it might be interesting to watch Herro in a situation where he was the #1 offensive option and had to carry a team like the Nets. Let me toss out another shit-stirring hypothetical: Dallas-Portland-Miami: Mavs send Kyrie to Portland and get Herro plus picks, Portland sends Dame to Miami and also pick up draft picks.
  15. Can't really disagree except that Herro is a few years younger, his current deal is one year shorter, and Bridges is not a championship caliber star to build around. That means the Nets currently have no championship window. Herro might fit their rebuild timeline better by virtue of being younger and that shorter contract makes it less risky if he doesn't work out.
  16. The Heat would probably be better served just trying to convince the Nets to do Herro for Bridges straight up. Maybe the Heat throw in a 2nd round pick and the Nets add some low end salary filler or something.
  17. He also had a bad injury and never came back from it iirc
  18. Much more likely comp in my mind. Also I would murder every last one of you to have a 25" vertical again.
  19. That's a ridiculously declarative speculation masquerading as fact. The Lakers may very well do that, but matching a max offer for Austin Reaves would be dumb as fuck and negatively impact their tight window to compete for titles with James and Davis. And again, no team can just offer a straight $20M per year deal, including the Lakers. With teams looking at the coming changes overspending on mid-tier guys is probably going to become more rare as teams try to continue building around a two-star (i.e., two-max-contract) model.
  20. I mean, maybe, but the Lakers can't do more than match an offer, right? So anyone going over 4yrs/$53M has at least an opportunity to get him. Your previous post and Mitch's post are about his free agency and the idea that the Lakers can just max him out, but they really can't unless it's to match. And frankly they shouldn't match anything crazy. Reaves is a nice player but he's not a guy you build a team around. Some teams are more desperate than the Lakers and Portland's one of them. For them overpaying Reaves as an end to the Lillard era makes a little bit of sense. They have a chance to see if he continues to develop into a reliable second banana while they tank for a couple years. Of course if they hang onto Dame they can't really sign him or any other meaningful free agent, so this is pure speculation around the recent chatter that Dame could get moved.
  21. If Portland does end up shipping Dame somewhere (which I can't see happening) they could do worse than signing Reaves for something like 4 years @ $16M per. (Though according to this article it would have to be structured more like $11M/12M/19M/22M.)
  22. Absolutely, but Bird specifically is a guy who would be more dominant in today's game if anything.
  23. Yeah, that's good for the Wolves. Thought Dallas could have made a run at him.
  24. That's a shame. I actually thought the pick was a good fit for them.
