  1. I think you could do a hell of a lot worse than selling when the market is at all time highs and getting completely out of debt. Sure those stocks might continue to go up after you sell, but I don't see how you would ever regret getting debt free. No need to pay a financial advisor a cut to tell you that... Just my $.02 @nineliveslost
  2. +1 for an Isofrane. It wears a little big, but it's bombproof and won't ever stink.
  3. You are doing the Lord's work on Twitter! I thank you for your service.
  4. Yes, it's a bummer not to wear mine much. I was in a suit a few times a week before Covid and would wear dress shirts the rest of the time. I haven't put on a pair of slacks since February 2020, but that should change soon. I will get a sportier automatic at some point that I can get more wear out of, but it will be a while. I was looking hard at a Seamaster or a Seamaster GMT before getting the Portugieser. I like both of those that you posted above. There's a white faced GMT with blue hands that I liked a lot too.
  5. Thanks! I still love it, but the pandemic and me working remotely has really limited my opportunities to wear it as much as I would like. I bought a solar G-shock that someone else posted here and it never leaves my wrist.
  6. Don't be skeered of the preowned market either. I bought through a seller on watchuseek and it allowed me to buy much more watch than I would have otherwise - this one for basically 50% of retail.
  7. This thing has become Qanon for stonkers. Execs are going to recall all the shares to vote and force the shorts to cover! GME has super high Beta and that's why it opposite the market! GME mentioned shorts in their latest filing, to the moon! Do your research bro!!!!1!!!1 I don't think anybody really knows shit here, other than the powers that be do fucky things when the stock goes on a run and that this whole "battle" has been large HF vs large HF duking it out in the options market since late January. Those large funds will make most of the money and the diamond hands small guy who is waiting for 1k to take profits on his 10-15 shares is going to get bubkis. I'm glad you took some profits @Bone3421 If this thing goes back below $50 I think I'll take a bite and go long on the turnaround being successful.
  8. Good opportunity to pick up some more energy stocks.
  9. I was late to the ALPP party but understand the frustration. I only have 2000 shares, but did buy some of them at 5.8 that I'm pretty beat up on. Agreed on AMYZF looking tasty at 1.25. I've been banging my head against the wall averaging down on it (avg cost 1.38), so I'm too top heavy already or I would be buying more right now. It's somehow become the largest position in my STONK account with RXMD being a distant 2nd. TSNP, VDE, and ALPP round out my top 5 according to value. @Hefeweizen
  10. Here's a couple of different buckets as I see it: -Binary/crap shoot trades, could be 1000% returns or could be a total loss: PUPS, MJWL -Less dodgy, but still risky af: WDLF -Older trades, most of us already did well, but still decent upside: TSNP, ALPP -Harrison Stafford is going hard in the paint/good companies with lots of upside: AMYZF, UUUU, IBRX -I don't really know why I'm holding so much of it, but someone somewhere likes it a lot: RXMD -I'm holding what might be a big bag of shit and I don't know what to do with my hands: GRPS, HECCW, LTMCF, SPSO
  11. I admire his conviction. None of this pussy-footing around business.
  12. Ahhhh, of course. I'm not sure why I never realized that.
  13. @Fudge Nuggets It's down below 6% at the current share price, isn't it? I've been waiting for it to pull back some so I can add to my position. I'm kicking myself for not buying more energy stocks earlier this year. XOM and VDE are the only two that I bought - I was too busy chasing pennies like TSNP and XMET...
  14. Obsession noted. I appreciate you sticking around and continuing to post, but pls stop smearing shit all over the place.
  15. Which calls did you buy?

    Damn.
  17. I play with my sons from time to time as well and it's really fun to get a win with them. Lots of hooting/hollering and high fives whenever we get one.
  18. I like this idea. I've long thought the TSLA mania would come crashing down at some point, but it continues to be completely irrational. eta: Just looked at the pricing on the long dated puts, whoa - spendy. 3/17/2023 200 P current ask $22.90
  19. If the reserve currency status of the USD was at stake? Yes, without a doubt. Wars have been fought over less.
  20. This is a great point, some of the lightly used bass boats I've seen for sale at the shop make me thankful for the one that I bought from a co-worker for $5,000. $12,000 for a redo that complete seems like a pretty good deal to me. The one thing I'd really like to have done is a complete re-wire on mine. There are so many little electrical gremlins from 25 years of different people fucking around with things - the front graph loses power every time I start the motor, if I hit a big swell going too fast I get a short alarm and the engine stalls for an instant, one of the live well pumps only works part of the time, etc. I always figured that a rewire was a huge ordeal that any shop would charge at least $2,500 for. But the motor is still really strong and hasn't lost much (if any) compression according to the mechanic. I put a new lower unit on it last year and it's even happier after that. As long as I feel good about the motor, I guess it wouldn't be a terrible strategy to put some money in to this one instead of spending $50k+ on something like this: https://dallas.craigslist.org/mdf/boa/d/colleyville-2017-ranger-z521c/7288491301.html
  21. I bought some back at the end of January under $46 and wish I would have bought more. They stayed committed to the dividend through the whole downturn and I don't think they will cut it now that things have turned positive. The possibility of the dividend being cut was the main thing that kept me from making a bigger investment. Bottom line, yes, I think we are in the early innings of a bull run for commodities and XOM is still a good buy today at ~$62. @victory88
  22. I had my local shop quote me a price to redo the top in matte black, touch up the sparklie silver along the bottom, re-do the seats, and replace the maroon carpet with grey. I think it was like $7,500 total and I couldn't justify that on a boat this old. Plus I've got small kids and I like not worrying about them walking all over the seats or getting red dirt on the carpet. I went out yesterday evening and found a few coves where the water was up to 62-63, but the water looked like chocolate milk from the rain last week. It's going to be tougher fishing for the spawn this year. @fattyflattie
