  1. Tomorrow marks three years since we lost our daughter at 8 months due to an umbilical cord issue. It’s weird that we are beginning our first time with the fertility doctor on the date of our daughters passing. A lot of mixed emotions. Still so much baggage and trauma but yet so hopeful for the future.
  2. The Connell‘s - “74-75” is another good one. Dexter Freebish “Leaving Town”
  3. Not to mention their best song “Are you Ready for the Fallout?”
  4. Come on Eileen -Dexy’s Midnight Runners Romeo’s Tune- Steve Forbert
  5. Would you ask if he has any recommendations on other places to play that are closeish to our route if we can squeeze them in?
  6. Thank you! We definitely have a van and driver so we can relax as much as possible in between rounds. His sentiments on the golf courses echo pretty much everything I’ve read. Pretty excited to go.
  7. Or driving an hour more and doing Royal County Down. I think that’s my favorite idea
  8. Thanks. We are thinking of playing County Louth the day we land. May be a little optimistic.
  9. The guys from the No Laying Up podcast did a video of Dooks. Initially, I just thought we had it just to play another round. The video made me excited for it. Looks pretty laid back. As for the driving, we have a driver and bus taking us around. So, I don’t think it will be too bad. i just got back from PV. Place is out of this world.
  10. Turnpike Troubadours - Diamonds and Gasoline Uncle Tupelo - March 16-20, 1992
  11. Thinking about doing an Ireland trip with some buddies in May. Route we have mapped right now. Day 1. Fly Day 2. Portmarnock, drive and stay in Lahinch Day 3: Lahinch, drive to Ballybunion Day 4: Ballybunion, Drive to Waterville Day 5. Waterville, drive to Kinsale Day 6: Old Head, drive to Killarney Day 7: Tralee and Dooks, Day 8: Travel Seems like a pretty sweet trip/route. Wish we could squeeze in Royal County Down or Royal Portrush. Anyone played any of these? Suggestions?
  12. The effort by 28 on the last play was inexcusable. Looked like he was jogging, took a bad angle, then reached out his arm to try and arm tackle after the bad angle. Frustrating.
  13. Headed out tomorrow for a week of golf, drunkenness, and debauchery. Anyone have any good restaurants that I need to check out? Staying in the Barefoot Resort Condos.

Lol. Might be the nostalgia factor.

Quail still fucks. The rest of the critiques are valid. Dated. Fine food. Not with the price. Got a free ride at Monarch tomorrow, so I expect more.

Well this thread has dampened my nostalgia excitement.

I haven’t been in quite a while but always thought it was good. Going with a group Friday evening. Any recommendations?
  19. I have a feeling the Browns are going to give Hunt a lot of burn. They turned down some pretty big trade offers to keep him.
  20. Full PPR: Miles Sanders, Brandon Aiyuk, Kareem Hunt, Devonta Smith, Jaylen Waddle. Pick one. I am leaning Aiyuk
  21. My wife’s boss who is from southeastern Kentucky called it Appalachian Red Headed Stranger. I dig it.
  22. When we lost our baby 8 months pregnant, as I was driving from the hospital for a break, Tears In Heaven by Eric Clapton came on the radio. Almost wrecked before I could pull over. In Color by Jamey Johnson gets me for some reason.
  23. I would say it’s a data driven way to approach course management. When to be aggressive off the tee, how to pick targets, easiest ways to lower scores. You input each round by score and then each course has a GPS overview where you input where your shots went, where pins were, what you hit, etc. Based off of 10 rounds of that data, it gives you where you lose shots, ways to remedy, and such. I’ve played competitively for a long time and it has made the game a lot more simple. Once you have your data in, you get custom yardage books of any course you are playing that gives you targets and tee shot clubs based on percentages. It’s a really cool setup.
  24. So I started DECADE Golf by Scott Fawcett. I couldn’t be more impressed. It’s not ground breaking information but the way he presents it with data and reasoning has made golf a lot easier. It’s worth the 199 if you play at multiple places. Takes a while and discipline to realize you don’t have to it at the flag every single time and to not try and force birdies. I’m a +.8 right now and am learning a lot. I would assume higher handicaps could shave a LARGE amount of shots from the program.
  25. Made me laugh out loud. Well done. Don’t think NAIA football talk would get a lot of traction here. Since we don’t have football, I’m an equal opportunity football fan.
