  2. Thank God we kept Devante Adams. Even though his 2 games under 2 points didn’t help. We actually traded Thomas and JK Dobbins for Joe Mixon like 3 weeks ago.
  3. If Nebraska were smart, they'd have Rhule as HC, Joseph as AHC/OC, Dominic Riaola as Strength Coach to lock in his son in 2025, and whomever at DC right now.

  5. Today is 3 years from when our baby died 8 months pregnant. I’ll never forget coming here and just writing. I don’t know if it made any sense or you all were just amazing advocates and friends on this platform we call surly. 3 years later, it still sucks. The wife neeeeeeeds a kid. But it could be a lot, lot worse and thanks forever for giving me a place to vent. Love you guys.
  6. Have Breece Hall in all of my leagues......his ACL tear is going to cost me a lot of dollars
  7. Fan walking from Spain to Qatar World Cup feared missing in Iran (espn.com) This seems like a bad idea all around. Hopefully he's still alive, but I don't like his chances.
  8. Lol. Yes. Simmer on medium low for 30-40 minutes.
  9. Made a staple for us last night. Something my mom calls "State Fair Soup" as I guess it won some award at the State Fair a long time back. It's easy and takes no time but is delicious. 1 Rotisserie Chicken 2 cans of chicken and rice soup 2 cans of spicy Ranch Style Beans 1 can of hot Rotel 1 package of taco seasoning 1 package of dry ranch dressing mix Chicken stock to cover
  10. We lost our baby at 8 months pregnant a couple years ago. Some family had the same thing happen to them years before. They started a program where you can donate for a plate that they take footprints, handprints, weight, length, etc. and give to all of the families that are going through the same thing. I recognized the niceness of the gesture, but my wife LOVES it. So much that we keep it at the bank in the safety deposit box with her ashes. Long story short, now we donate to that cause every year because it is a damn blessing to the grieving families. It's things like a that which can restore people's faith in humanity.

    Vivid Dreams

Maybe once a week if I play golf, I’ll have a couple beers. At home, never. At restaurants, never. Occasionally try a brewery or two on a weekend. Why?

    Vivid Dreams

After our baby died, I was having panic attacks. Doctors prescribed almost all the SSRIs and they all gave me the most vivid nightmares every single night. Like intruders in the house destroying our nursery, raping my wife, beating me half to death, killing the dogs and setting the house on fire. EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. Would wake sweating and hyperventilating. Made it to where I didn't want to go to sleep. Once I told the doctor and he realized I have severe anxiety, not depression, we adjusted meds and I don't have the nightmares anymore.
  13. I thought on the radio they were talking about the Wind Shield Temperature instead of Wind Chill.....
  14. As for the libel lawsuit potential, Garrett's attorney would be remised to point out that she is a public figure. With the notoriety of the hand and her social media presence, she has the ability to defend herself. I think I fall on side she cheated. "Thought you had ace high", she'd be dominated. "I had blockers" well how would you know what hand you are blocking? "I thought I had J3". She takes a like 4 looks at her cards during the hand and time extension. I doubt there will ever be proof either way, and I imagine Garrett splits the money with her or something as a compromise.
  15. Southern Pines is dope. Can't speak to the others. What courses are you playing at Pinehurst?
  16. Have a 500 dollar keeper league. You get to keep one player at where you drafted him the year before. We won last year so we have pick 12. Options to me are Mark Andrews as a 4th (pick 37) or Michael Thomas as a 7th (pick 84). Both are good value. Jameis can push the ball downfield. It’s just if Thomas can stay healthy. Andrews may get a ton of targets with Hollywood Brown gone. Also could keep Devante Adams as pick 12.

    REK

Saw him in Little Rock last month. Still brilliant. Can tell the road has gotten him tired. Hopefully he will play a couple of shows a year.
  18. Recipe please. That looks RIGHT up my alley.
  19. @Al_4_ISUOasis Falafel will make believers out of anyone. Place is absolutely nails.
  20. Career best is 279. Started with 10 straight strikes and threw the 11th in the ditch. Average about 165-70. Play in a 9 pin-no tap league every winter. Have thrown a couple 300s in that. I've got a hook ball and a straight ball for the 10 pin spare pickup. Once threw 15 straight strikes in the middle of two games.
  21. Burger. American cheese. Grilled onions, HEB jalapeño bacon, bread and butter jalapeño pickles, and HEB jalapeño pimento cheese. Plowed.
  22. I had the original strand, pre vaccine. Developed pneumonia in both lungs, too. Went to the ER when my pulse ox number was 84. Wouldn't recommend.
  23. Bill Simmons had an interesting idea for the draft. IIRC he proposed a draft "wheel" that told you which pick you would get that year, and then the next year, the "wheel" would rotate once to what pick you get the coming year. So the teams would know beforehand what pick in the draft they have for future years. Like if you got the 1st pick one year, the next year you get 30, then 15, then 16, then 2, then 29, etc. A. It would eliminate tanking, B. First round draft picks could increase or decrease in value depending on the year and what number you had. C. It would incentivize teams to build from within. It's not perfect by any means, but it is an interesting idea. It couldn't be put into effect until the last conveyed picks are selected, so like 2030.
  24. Lots of things he could have done that some of the players leaving brought to him as what needed to change. Release shot footage to the players for their brand. Move Champions Tour age to 45. Appearance Fees where players/caddies don’t take a loss showing up Allow them to play LIV events but have to play a minimum PGA Tour schedule. Make the players play every event once every 3-4 years. That boosts fields on your weaker events. PGA U gets top 5 players in college a PGA Tour card, not Korn Ferry.
  25. It's truly laughable how bad the PGA Commissioner screwed this up.
