  1. The setup isn’t that weird, but the circumstances are way different. Coming off one of the worst defenses of all time it looks like we hired Pat to look over PK’s shoulder because he may or may not know what the fuck he’s doing. GA bringing Muschamp in as an overqualified analyst last season was obviously not that. Of course, I don’t really give a shit what it looks like if it works.
  2. Starting to wonder if PK’s headset is even going to be plugged in
  3. I pussed out in the summer of ‘07. Ended up in Pamplona with my gf at the time (now wife) with every intention of running but we were broke and hadn’t made any plans so we didn’t have any place to stay. Partied all night and briefly slept in some random park that was far enough away from all the broken bottles. By the time it was time to run I was still half in the bag from sangria and the hangover was beginning. Girlfriend talked me out of it and I didn’t fight too hard. Still one of the best times of my life though. We left from there and got a hotel in San Sebastian which was also incredible. Bucket list retirement spot once we win the lotto.
  4. Hill immediately after that moment
  5. Nice, didn’t CTJ mention last week he was pretty much ready to shut things down (in our favor) but his family was encouraging him to slow things down a bit and take more visits?
  6. No idea if Carte Blanche has been mentioned on the thread, but saw this and thought it was interesting: https://www.dallasnews.com/food/restaurant-news/2022/07/22/this-dallas-chef-said-he-worked-at-michelin-starred-restaurants-but-reps-say-he-didnt/?outputType=amp Never been for dinner (I’ve heard mixed reviews), but we’ve been to the bakery on Saturday mornings and that’s been really good.
  7. The “sources” fluffing of Card really seems like an effort to keep him engaged and out of the portal for the season so we have a viable backup. Probably a reasonable idea too. Bad news for @closetohumping though. Even when the 9.95ers are carrying water for the guy they don’t really entertain the idea that he actually starts.
  8. Muhammad and Hale get us to 279.02, barely behind OSU for #2.
  9. satya: 6'6" 337 - Malik Agbo - from the PNW, probably smokes weed 6'3" 321 - DJ Campbell - too short 6'5" 303 - Cole Hutson - too white 6'7" 374 - Cam WIlliams - too big 6'4" 298 - Conner Robertson - see Cole Hutson 6'5" 314 - Neto Umeozulu - could be a solid career backup 6'5" 318 - Kelvin Banks Jr - is a 5 star just like Chris Simms
  10. Both sucked a lot, but any reality with this: is decidedly not the worst reality.
  11. The 1.0000 ranking doesn’t mean he’s a perfectly rated quarterback prospect. That’s just a metric of rankings across different services. All it means is he’s the consensus #1 prospect across all the services for 2023. It doesn’t have anything to do with evaluating him as one of the 3 best qb prospects of all time.
  12. Not to mention we already have evidence that the level of competition at Isidore isn’t prohibitive for playing up to a high ranking. Both Peyton and Eli lived up to their hype. If people want to make the argument that he may need more time to adjust to the level of competition, sure, that’s possible. But that fits our ideal timeline better anyway. It’s the same fuckers claiming Arch isn’t ready who are also concern trolling that we are going to have an immediate qb controversy and lose one of Quinn or Arch to the portal.
  13. https://www.nbcsportsedge.com/article/college-fantasy-rankings/power-five-college-fantasy-draft-expert-review Fantasy college football is kind of dumb but pretty cool to have Bijan go first overall and Worthy also go in the first round. Ewers (2nd round), Neyor (6th), Billingsley (14), Whittington (18), RoJo (18), Card (21), and JSanders (23) were all taken. If nothing else, we should be loaded in the skill position groups this season.
  14. I think he was making a joke about giving their new prospects thread a numbers boost, not hinting about anything new. Just referencing the shit he stirred up the first time he mentioned something.
  15. Wow, looks like no numbers on the shoulders either. Huge improvement
  16. I don’t really understand where you are coming from here. It’s $100 million dollars, they‘ll be able to do a lot of things with it. Just probably not ever win a conference or national championship. Which is no different than now.
  17. Yeah, it‘s pretty fun thinking through who would end up getting the invite. There are probably like 5 locks (Clemson, FSU, Miami, ND, Oregon) then it would be an absolute bloodbath for those last 11 spots.
  18. So two super-conferences of 20 plus teams. At that size, you’d have to structure them to contain multiple divisions/pods. It’s going to be hilarious when we end back where we started with similar “division” groupings as we have now, just with everything going up to either the Big10 or SEC. And of course cutting out the Baylors of the world.
  19. Nothing will come from that clip, and honestly I don’t really think anything should. The “no inducement” thing has always been pretty vague and clearly bullshit. It does make Jimbo’s self righteousness press conference even more ridiculous than it actually was though. Maybe he’ll pop a couple adderalls and double down on how they’ve never bought anyone today, that could be fun.
  20. Cloak room means something different for the average TexAgs poster
