  1. We should do horns up with one hand and horns down with another. Just claim our own ownership of it. That’ll really annoy them.
  2. All Elon did was rebrand it. Birdwatch first debuted in 2021. https://blog.twitter.com/en_us/topics/product/2021/introducing-birdwatch-a-community-based-approach-to-misinformation
  3. You know that guy is a scammer, right? Not that there is anything wrong with this tweet but it's funny seeing a fake reporter for a fake newspaper embedded here.
  4. Man... lot of untreated covid PTSD in this forum. I don't think we'll see capacity restrictions but let's not trivialize covid. It just got Bray Wyatt. This shit isn't gone and it's real.
  5. What the big 12 has going for it is that it has so many mid tier programs that one of them is bound to be on their Cinderella year in their program cycle that they can compete for a top 10 ranking. Then the next year it will be a different team that is just at that point in their development.
  6. A mid-day September opener at DKR without at least 3 deaths is considered a dull affair.
  7. Go read the fbi report. The gun did go off without pulling the trigger during their testing however their conclusion was that was due to the ware from the testing and wouldn’t have happened otherwise. At least to me, that’s not a very satisfying “don’t count that” when the gun did the thing you’re leading the report with it didn’t do.
  8. Robing Hood money is deposited in the Foundation School Program. The FSP functions like a general fund but is strictly for education dollars. Again though, this money isn't going to public schools. It's mostly going to fund charter schools which are suppose to be private business enterprises but the reality is they are stealing money from public tax dollars. So the state still sucks but the robin hood money is legally tied to education so they can't use it for anything.
  9. I don't think it's crazy that the big 10 would be interested in Kansas. It's adjacent to their current footprint. Great basketball program. Maybe be willing to not take a full share given how unremarkable the football program is.
  10. I'm not sure that's exactly true. I believe the bulk of it goes toward funding charter schools.
  11. bc Texas is fucking stupid you have to divorce conversations about school district and city/county. They correlate generally but for the most part they have jack shit to do with each other. There are about 8 school districts across all land inside city limits. Most of it is AISD but other districts like Manor, Del Valley etc. pop their heads in along the edges of Austin Proper.
  12. The city on your driver's license has jack shit to do with if you live inside city limits. That is a signifier for your post office to help mail get to the right place. It doesn't describe if you've been annexed. Plenty of people live in the ETJ of Austin/Manor/Dripping Springs with an "Austin" on their driver's license. So that's why they ignored your license.
  13. Would the big 10 have been a better long term play for Texas? Do we really think the SEC is going to continue its power in an era past free labor? The conference is composed of the poorest states in the country.
  14. Does anyone know how much Fox Sports and ESPN pay annually across all their college football contracts? How much money are these 2 companies responsible for when it comes to funding college football annually?
  15. Isn't Disney trying to Dump ESPN and ABC?
  16. Maybe you're right but I just assume there would be enough enthusiasm since they've been so desperate for the big 12 for so long.
  17. I think UH sells out every game THIS year. Maybe next year but the charm will run out and they'll be back to a fair weather program.
  18. Isn't the only reason UH is in the big 12 bc Tilman went crying to a bunch of state officials?
  19. Or if we get to 24 team conferences then maybe a semi final conference game of the teams with the 4 best conference records. That should account enough for variances with schedules but hard to predict.
  20. Then there would be no annual OU/UT game. Edit: Yeah, I guess you could have divisions but all that seems to lead to are unappealing title games.
  21. wtf? That's not what he's saying. Every team should have the same number of protected rivalry games. We should not get rid of them.
  22. Does Kansas make sense or if football the only thing that matters?
