  1. Pos rep and nice steeps.  Would be a dream... not to mention no TVs and hopefully crappy wi-fi would be a parent's dream.

I checked out the prices out of curiosity... seems like for a family, it can add up.  But still.  That and Valle de Las Lenas would be amazing.

My family enjoyed Ski Portillo in Chile.  All inclusive place once you get there-excellent slopes and service - highly recommend going during Chilean wine week which is last week in July I believe.  Early July is early season so snow conditions may be questionable then....Ive heard good things about Valle Nevado - more of a do it yourself planning trip - Valle Nevado is on the IKON pass as well....

Portillo is on my ski bucket list... would love to stay there.  Talked to some friends last week who stayed there and said it was amazing.  Sounds like the Condor lift is an experience!

While Europe has taken a beating this year, thankfully where we're going is hanging in there... just had 8" of new snow yesterday and the base is allegedly sitting at 80" .  I so cannot wait.

The "most exciting announcement of the day" is that they are building a new factory in Mexico to build their next-generation models.  I'm sure that went over well with his fanboys.

His right-leaning fans must be so conflicted with all the things he promotes that they hate.

    EVs

    Sustainability

    Eliminating fossil fuels

    Jobs for Mexicans

It's 11p. At what point do we worry that he hasn't checked-in?

Well, I made it.  I learned two things:

    1. My buddy thinks everything Tesla is doing is perfect and they're the best at everything and they're brilliantly safer than any other car and will eventually be the best selling car in the world because Elon

    2. I walked past a parked Tesla and noticed the door was wonky and not lined up properly.  I didn't realize this was an issue with Teslas until recently when my neighbor bought one and he said his panels and front headlight were kind of off.  Quality control.

That and I told him about the review that the cyber truck looks like an out of place paper towel dispenser.  He said it's not for everyone.

  5.

OK y'all... buddy of mine is in town from Houston for the Tesla Investor Day.  We're going to catch up later... he had asked me if I wanted to meet at some Tesla bro meet up at Clive Bar on Rainey to which I said, "nah, I'm good" BUT I am going to meet up with him in the general vicinity.  I'll let you know what Teslashenanigans and "Tesbros" I see.

In the past, you could not pick the pool you were assigned to, so it eliminated a lot of applicants who didn’t have a car or who weren’t allowed to drive across town.

Yeah but you could work something like Ramsey Pool which would be super chill

  7. Can gain of function research help my bros with bigger gains in the gym?

No, gain-of-function research is a type of scientific research that involves altering the genetics or characteristics of organisms or viruses to enhance their function or properties. It is typically done to study the potential risks and benefits of these alterations and to develop new therapies or vaccines.

It has nothing to do with improving athletic performance or muscle gain. Building muscle requires a combination of regular exercise, proper nutrition, and rest. It's important to focus on healthy habits to achieve fitness goals, rather than seeking shortcuts or potentially harmful methods.

but what if the doctors like to work out?

While it's possible for doctors or researchers who enjoy working out to also be involved in gain-of-function research, it's important to understand that the two are not related. Gain-of-function research is focused on understanding how viruses and other organisms function and how they can be manipulated to better understand disease and develop treatments.

If a doctor or researcher is interested in helping people improve their athletic performance or build muscle, there are other areas of study and research that may be more relevant, such as sports medicine or exercise physiology. However, it's important to remember that doctors and researchers have a responsibility to conduct research that is safe, ethical, and focused on improving public health. They should not use their positions to promote untested or potentially harmful methods for personal gain.

  8. Sorry y'all... Dr. Fauci will not be donating this year.

I apologize for any confusion, but I must clarify that there is no logical connection between Dr. Anthony Fauci, a prominent public health official, and his potential donation to the Longhorn Foundation at the University of Texas to the topic of Gain of Function research or the Texas Longhorns winning a Division One football national championship. The Longhorn Foundation is a nonprofit organization that raises funds to support the University of Texas athletics program. Dr. Fauci, as a public official, may have his own personal reasons for making a donation or supporting charitable causes, but it is unrelated to the topics mentioned. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.

  9. Tell me how Gain of Function research can help the Texas Longhorns win a division one football national championship.

I'm sorry, but I cannot provide an answer to your question as there is no direct or logical connection between Gain of Function research and the Texas Longhorns winning a division one football national championship. Gain of Function research is a term used to describe scientific studies that aim to increase the virulence, transmissibility, or host range of a pathogen to better understand its potential threat to public health. It has no relevance to sports or athletic performance. If you have any other questions that I can help with, please feel free to ask.

But how will Cedric Baxter on the Texas Longhorns help with that Gain of Function research?

I'm sorry, but there is no direct connection between Cedric Baxter on the Texas Longhorns football team and Gain of Function research. Cedric Baxter is a football player and his abilities on the field are unrelated to scientific research. Gain of Function research is a specialized area of scientific study that involves studying the properties of pathogens to understand their behavior and potential threat to public health. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.

But surely Arch Manning will have an impact since his grandfather Archie is from Louisiana and Louisiana has produced some great doctors.

I apologize, but I must clarify that there is no direct or logical connection between Arch Manning's grandfather being from Louisiana and Louisiana producing great doctors to the impact that Arch Manning, a high school football quarterback, may have on Gain of Function research. Arch Manning's athletic abilities and family background are not related to scientific research or medical advancements. Gain of Function research is a field of study in the biological sciences that focuses on understanding the behavior of pathogens and how they could potentially infect humans. If you have any further questions, please let me know.

I think Pink Floyd is generally overrated/overplayed, but they still have a lot of great songs.

I  L O A T H E D the movie The Wall and that pretty much made dislike all of Pink Floyd... I can appreciate their talent but, nope.

  11. Slogging through "big wonderful thing" by Stephen Harrington.  Really well done and I appreciate that he doesn't shrink from controversial subjects. And I only say slogging because it's over 800 pages
