  1. The 9pm start times are starting to really drive down my Astros viewing.
  2. Go back quite a few pages and we were commiserating on 4mo sleep regression. Ours is 5mos, and had sleep regression starting at 3.5mos until 4.5 mos when we tried a sleep training that was awesome. Been great since Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Correa and Springer not producing is definitely the biggest reason this club is struggling. Should be two All Star bats that are pretty bad at this point. Reddick, Gattis and Gonzalez are what they are. Should never expect them to be anything other than hot/cold.
  4. Really good movie, but I thought the opening scene was a giant plot weakness. The father and family obviously knew a day would come when they would get attacked..... and the plan was for the wife and kids to run out the back door and for him to grab the rifle and take on a bunch of guys on horseback? But yes, very underrated movie. Bale was remarkable, IMO
  5. It's really pretty simple, basically every single hitter has regressed. I would argue that Correa, Springer and Gurriel have regressed below how they should be performing. Marwin, Reddick and Gattis have just regressed back to what we should expect from them. Altuve and Bregman are more or less holding the line, although Bregman is terrible right now. After that we have a bunch of plug and play guys who vary in their degree of suck. Tyler White is the only guy who looks like a major league hitter at the moment.
  6. I think the Tucker experiment should be put on hold until 2019. Just awful stuff. And man, Maldonado sucks so much hitting. Not that that’s a surprise, but it hurts Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. There aren't a lot of us We have made a lot of REALLY good coaching hires and paid them well It is a TON harder to get into today compared to 10 years ago The talent is unreal Everyone is somewhere between upper middle class and wealthy We have some terrible fans, but I truly believe we have an above average percentage of laid back, easy going fans
  8. I also figured we would have moved on to Saul and his private practice of crazy clients by now. Looking forward to the season and hoping we get there soon
  9. Would love to see Griggs as next Mayor. Pretty good guy and basically my next door neighbor
  10. Way too slow. Huge fan of BB and BCS, but it's just too slow right now.
  11. I think Keuchel should keep it out of the media, but he is right on this one. Marisnick is a big part of this team, even if he is hitting .100
  12. Alright Houston folks, need some info. Need some compare/contrast on townhomes in Museum Park vs Rice Military vs the few random ones in West U area. Have one infant and wife is SAHM. Trying to figure out which place is safer, better prospects for appreciation, and more things to do (eat, parks, museums, entertainment) nearby that they can walk to or make a VERY short drive to.
  13. Hate the move. Shocked we are getting this guy.... seems completely out of place on this team
  14. Really good Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Yeh daycare sucks, but we went nuclear route.... SAHM. $14k a year is brutal, but losing an entire (pretty decent) income is a game changer. Granted it makes my job of going to work 100x times easier
  16. Assume this is the hottest summer since 2011?
  17. Death of Stalin was pretty good.... couple lines that killed it.
  18. Yep, no doubt people change as they get older and it's hard to say for each person. We have a few friends in 30s who have made the decision to not have kids and it makes a lot of sense for them. They enjoy living glamorous lives with dual incomes and plenty of cash and time. I see those same priorities in a lot of my younger millenial friends.
  19. Good to know. From the hours of 11pm to 3am we probably read thirty different articles on things to try.
  20. Definitely a good idea depending how long this continues. Prior to this everything was great. I do worry, and she will especially, that having a night nanny won't help for when it's up to us putting him to sleep. Kind of like a bandaid if we can't afford to do it long term.
  21. God almighty. Did yall do anything specific to get out of it? Or did it just end? We had considered it during pregnancy, but we ultimately decided to go single income with the wife at home so that she can deal with sleep issues (and everything else) without having to worry about waking up for a job.
  22. Is your last statement specific to your friends? Or meant for Millennials in general? I guess it's hard to say. I am surrounded by other millenials at my work, a lot younger than me and still single. For about 50% of them I would recommend they don't consider having kids... the way they live their lives and have priorities would never fit with a kid. I've always been an "old soul" and knew I wanted kids and enjoy staying home being a homebody. And even for me the transition has been really hard. Going for a 30 minute run or watching a sporting event becomes a task equivalent to moving mountains, much less going out to eat and socializing.
