  1. I have only met Robert once, seemed to be a great dude. I travel in that area pretty often and try to eat there as much as possible. They did open the bbq joint, I’ve only been once, what I had was great. Hate to hear that he’s had a rough time lately.
  2. We talk about Coleman in the hunting thread. The best pizza is in Coleman too, on the same street as Cattle Drive Cafe.
  3. Curious if LA BBQ ever had to pay a fine for their insurance fraud.
  4. Love the 25-06 and the 7mm-08.
  5. I get em with all deer, I’m using a bow and typically about 20 yards. Hate the yips!
  6. Pepper spray pistol looks interesting. https://byrna.com/products/byrna-sd-non-lethal-self-defense-pistol?srsltid=AfmBOoqzjDyktjycMrOlrUMUbHmg0dqziIcr8TRUnOcUJbTDHV_h3Ea5
  7. I had to drag most of it off, was way to much for me. It was damn good though.
  8. Hamilton, Texas. It’s at the Circle T arena. They have a hotel there as well, great place to stay if you are in that area. The calf fries are an appetizer, the steaks are damn good too. One night I had the filet with blue cheese.
  9. Was it good?
  10. Chicken fried calf fries with cholula cream gravy. These were so damn good, had em two nights in a row.
  11. Found a Winchester 101 20 gauge today in a pawn shop. Gun is in fantastic condition, love these old wood classics. Has the old style chokes that are made in the barrel. This particular gun is IC over moderate, which is perfect for me.
  12. Read em and weep boys! Nothing better than a ribeye steak.
  13. Stockyard Cafe at the sale barn does their CFS on a flat top griddle. This is the best way or in a skillet, not deep fried.
  14. Friends that live on Table Rock had the same or similar helicopters last week.
  15. I want to say mine is a 1:14, wish it was faster as well.
  16. Yep! Can put it in the ear hole of anything, pleasure to shoot as well. Head and neck shots and they drop like a hammer. If you are meat hunting, don’t shoot ‘em in the meat
  17. If I only hunted Texas and could only have one rifle, no doubt it would be the 22-250. Kills everything !
  18. Yeah I love being in there and they do have great food. Love their hand battered onion rings and burgers. CFS is worth ordering as well. Didn’t know he was an aggy, he was a good dude like you said. There was an old man sitting at the bar that was curious if I had been bird hunting since I still had my Chipp boots on, really enjoyed visiting with him.
  19. Where are they buying the felt cowboy UT hats? If it’s already posted my bad. Are these hats any good?
  20. Did some feeder and blind work yesterday getting ready for bow season. Stopped in at Cattle Drive Cafe for supper, damn good food in there if you are in the neighborhood. This is in Coleman, Texas btw.
  21. You chose correctly, damn that looks good.
  22. Guess BBQ in Waco is the same. Never overly busy during peak lunch hours, worried about them.
  23. My maiden voyage on flour tortillas. I made a batch of chorizo yesterday and wanted to try tortillas. Taste great, my rolling skills will take some time.
  24. I have two pair of the Black Jack boots, they are considerably better than any of the AB boots I own.
  25. I think we use whatever oil is convenient, don’t recall there being much if any difference. Bacon grease, now that makes a difference, even if it’s psychological:)
