  1. This is the wildcard in my opinion. Reading a little more, it sounds like the NCAA takes some real shots at Bill Self. It wouldn't surprise me if this does end up in the court of law and the NCAA is on the other end of a defamation suit. Knowing that KU is defiant and willing to take it to court might heavily influence the NCAA's penalty position. I've heard one attorney comment on the practice of unequal punishments as well. The release of the NOA against Louisville and how the exact same crimes only garnered level 2 violations could be an interesting defense angle in court. This is going to be an interesting summer for KU and the NCAA.
  2. There is no doubt in my mind that we absolutely were. But this isn't about what I think or what others think. It is about what can be proven to an independent committee. Saying you're guilty of X because you wore an adidas t-shirt isn't proof of shit. As a complete aside that has no bearing on the case, it is an interesting position to take that schools in KU's position are completely undermining the college model when the NCAA has now approved, and is moving in the next sports year to, allow corporations to pay players. If/when KU gets their punishment they will be serving it while it is legal for all teams to do what is alleged against KU. Kind of like having people locked up in San Quinton for selling weed when it is 100% legal in the state that San Quinton sit in.
  3. I haven't gotten through it yet, but what I have read shows that the NCAA is grasping in some areas. There is a part where they use Bill Self wearing an adidas shirt and dollar sign chain as proof that KU knew what was going on. Whether you believe KU was complicit or not, or whether it can be proven that KU was complicit or not, that is absolutely not how you demonstrate a case. I've been told there is another part where they use the Snoop Dogg performance as evidence that KU is guilty. Finally, saying KU is defiant in their knowledge of what was going on as evidence KU is guilty doesn't really smell right. Basically saying "they won't admit guilt so that means they must be guilty." I also found these quotes on Reddit: Mike Brey on shoe companies - this is interesting because there is no correspondence between KU coaches and adidas about paying money, just saying "we need guys". Here is an attorney that argues cases against the NCAA. I'll probably read the full report this weekend but I'm sure it is filled with exactly what I expect it to be filled with. KU isn't giving an inch and the NCAA is posturing like they know KU is guilty. It'll be interesting to see what evidence they present.
  4. With the 5-10mph breeze it actually was pretty nice. Sunscreen helped. played 18 then 9 today. 90 and 47. Just couldn’t put it together. 38 rounds for the year.
  5. It wasn’t bad at all. They just ended the high season a week before the end of April so no courses were over $150. I booked a flight Sunday and left Wednesday for $400 round trip out of Tulsa so last minute rates are real good. I’d make it out ASAP if you want to beat the heat.
  6. If we are still having fever checks in 5.5 months then we might as well just weld everyone's doors shut like they did in China. This virus is absolute bullshit.
  7. I was playing TPC Scottsdale on Saturday and bumped into Rick Neuheisel on the first tee box. He said there is no doubt in his mind that something will be figured out and we will have football this fall. Said there is FARRRR too much money to lose and it would crush athletic programs without football.
  8. Made an emergency trip to Phoenix. raven - 88 boulders south - 93 boulders north - 89 TPC stadium - 88 of all things to lose this week I lost my putting. I was 3 putting 3-5 times a round. Didn’t have 1 round under 34 putts. If I’m even close to my average there I’m probably low 80s most of the week. I think the south course might be the hardest golf course I’ve ever played.
  9. Honestly... spend a couple of hours a week on and around the green and you might be shooting 70. 50 putts is so outrageous. You must have the hand coordination of a 3 year old.
  10. Was biggest loser going into 16 today (down 16$). Push 16. Dame bet on 17. Push. Roll up to 18. Shotgun a beer. Tell the fucks they’re “in my house now”. Blind wolf hammer. Stripe a drive. 4 net 3. Win $128 on the last hole. Booked a flight to Scottsdale for a 5 round outing wed-sun. lets fuck.
  11. 91 yesterday with a shitty 34 putts. My iron play is so bad right now. 42/49 split. Took a weed gummy before the round and lost feeling of my body around the 4th hole.
  12. The lion has finished his meal.
  13. This guy gets it. There is a reason no disease of virus can infect me. My body has to be radioactive at this point. You touch me and you are taking serious risk.
  14. I don't get how this works. My ass points straight down. I'd have to bend over forward and back up to this and almost touch the nozzle to get it to hit my shittles. I like a bidet that blasts me from under the equator.
  15. The lack of interchangeable components sucks on the 10. I built an aero and am VERY happy with it. Went B+ to A+ on every component (even scope rings) and including the scope I’m in it for about $2600. The scope is the only thing that isn’t A+ because who knows what you will spend there. Mine is an M-308 which is built for the 10 platform.
  16. I made a call to chase several weeks ago regarding some basic account management and to void a check. My business banker referred me to a hotline and said "I'm not supposed to be directly helping anyone anymore, we're going to a call in model." This gal and I already have a sordid past with me trying to get her off her ass to help me so I just let loose and told her that she should quit her career in banking because her customer service is terrible and that I'll never call her again for anything. As far as I'm concerned, next time I have to call chase I am asking to be reassigned to a different contact. Even if the new contacts makes zero dollars off me and has the same restrictions, I want our banker to know that she was fired. Fuck chase.
  17. Well... today was the first day of pain for us. $1.4M deal down the drain because of yesterday's oil prices. We're lucky that we have a real estate portfolio and a healthy bank account to float us but we're expecting little activity in what is 80% of our business (mineral rights & leasing) until August at best. We can't lease/buy anything because we don't know where the market will be to sell. Thus we just sit on our hands and try to gather market data. The unfortunate part is that this delays us being more aggressive in real estate by 2 quarters. I know my problems aren't half of what everyone else is dealing with but damn. A record year with massive moves just became a stagnant year where we don't get to shift our assets from one-off investment gains to residual income based operations.
  18. I used to think that the Scar was one of the ugliest guns out there. I've never held or even been around one but now that I have a nice little collection of firearms I find myself wanting one.
  19. A couple of years ago I was looking at the Liberty Suppressors Leonidas .300 Blk integral suppressor. I didn't buy because I didn't want to wait forever for a firearm. Well... Looking at the current climate I sure wish I would have bought it. No cloak room but I'm worried that our AR platform could be in trouble in the future and I'm not going to make the mistake again. Went ahead and ordered the full upper today. If stamps are 270 days out that means an early 2021 delivery. Time to stock up on ammo and just forget about it for a while. It would make a great January birthday gift. https://libertycans.net/leonidas/
  20. Got my balls stomped on today. 98. Lost 14 strokes to bad chips within 20 yards. Regulation on putts. No body turn. everythjng I figured out on the range Saturday didn’t happen today. Back to the range tomorrow.
  21. That was definitely an outlier. Usually we play and the most anyone loses is around $60. The man who is down the most money going into 16 sets the bet and hitting order. The biggest loser going into 16 was only down $50. He set the bet at $25. The problem is after 2 hammers it’s now $100. Then a birdie doubles it. So he loses 200 on 16 and then bets 100 on 17 to try and get it back. Rinse and repeat and then after 18 and a few more drinks you get someone saying “double or nothing on 1.” Luckily we tied because I don’t think anyone wanted to see that blood.
  22. Got hammered drunk yesterday and played 36. 92 in the first round and then 85 in the second with my best 9 hole score ever in 38 on the front side. Won $83 in the first round of wolf and then $150 in the second. I suggested double or nothing on a 19th hole and it became a $1000 hole for the wolf but we pushed the hole. Our hammer wolf games are getting pretty pricey very early in the season. Down to an 11.9 index. Can’t seem to break below the 85 barrier. Need to get my iron striking more consistent.
  23. Anyone have an encrypted sat phone? Have been looking at these but also reading that the code has been cracked on them and eavesdropping can take place in seconds with the right equipment. Anyone know if there is such a thing as untraceable Mobile communication Anymore?
  24. Not a doctor but I eat a lot of ass. Just spray some flavored lube on it and you’ll be good.
  25. There are some drive through clinics in Tulsa. I used MCI Diagnostic center. They hanged $250. I’d search for “drive thru independent lab covid”. The Tulsa health department told me to make sure the lab is CLIA certified. I was negative which personally I think is a good anecdote. The guy I’ve been playing golf with 2-3 times a week is married to a nurse who treats covid patients specifically. If I don’t have it then he probably doesn’t have it and I didn’t get it from being in the same room as someone infected.
