  1. To be fair, "are we there yet" would be an appropriate rename to the thread title. Seems more appropriate than "the intricacies of marketing a chicken sandwich"
  2. Considering we will likely be talking about firing them all this time next year, I think 200 is more of a floor than a ceiling.
  3. Is a mil a year enough to live the good life in LA? I'm thinking not.

    Orlando fired

I just hope the new DC can figure out Ossai isn’t a nickel back and can convince Overshown he is an OLB
  5. This is my biggest problem. If you HAVE to have a TE to make this offense work, we should have five or six on the roster to see what works. Why didn’t we find a transfer with some weight and experience. Man I am so sick of this shit.
  6. If he would have said "no" could we fire him for cause? Someone ask in a different way... The fact he can't even get Mack to return his calls is telling.
  7. I used to think things like the grill at UH helped him identify with his players, and I bought into the reason he kissed his players. Now I realize I was just a fool hoping this guy had the right ideas. He doesn't. He is more used car salesman than football coach (no offense to car salesmen)
  8. This isn't good. And who calls their wife their mentor? I guess people who don't have any viable mentors?
  9. And this is why he will ultimately get fired.
  10. He isn't the guy. Too bad it will take us 2 years to do something about it.
  11. Yeah, I thought that identity had died with Strong, but I agree that it still holds for the most part.
  12. Have I told you guys that I was a Who's Who Among American High School Students? My mom paid $19.95 to have my name forever recorded among the other elite in this fine hard back book. It sits right next to our Encyclopedia Britannica collection, and I look my name up each time I visit her house.
  13. Inside Texas obviously doesn't know what they are talking about with this upset locker room talk. Mensa told us just last week that that was all made up. I'm sure they know they just didn't play hard enough to win and want to try harder this week for their Great Leader.
  14. Didn't even see this before I posted my Tecmo Bowl comment. For the youngsters, in this fantastically awesome game, if you are on defense and correctly pick the offenses play, there is a mob scene as soon as the play starts and all 11 defensive players dogpile the ball carrier. Just like Iowa State did all day Saturday.
  15. Yeah, I was thinking as I was watching the 1st quarter that it looked just like old school Tecmo Bowl defense, and Iowa State knew every play. This morning Bucky said that he rewatched and picked up all of the "tell keys" that signaled plays.
  16. Trey and BK said after the PC that the locker room apparently got word of the "never out coached" comment from Saturday and it didn't go over well. Transfer portal ----> Activate! I still can't get over one of the early pressers where Tom was asked why he didn't put Jake Smith and Devin Duvernay on the field at the same time, and he responded with "why would I do that?" Maybe to win games and keep your job asshole. How embarrassing will it be to lose to SMU in the Liberty Bowl? Is that a cause for contract termination?
  17. You sir, never saw Brandy Perryman play then. https://www.bperrymanshootingcamp.com/coach-bios/ Or Reggie Freeman
  18. Ouch. I'm interested in Bucky's take in the morning too. This reminded me of last week listening to the Monday presser and Mensa stating that Leitao graded out a "champion". LOL
  19. I have no real knowledge of the abilities of the coaching staff other than what I see on Saturday and the stuff I read here. But even I had no idea why we kept Warehime on our staff and moved him to TEs. From my observations, WR, TE, DB and LB coaches (yes I know that is Frodd) all need walking papers. I could be convinced on RB, but Drayton is pretty hamstrung by injuries.
  20. 9-4 is the bottom rung of acceptable seasons at Texas. We have now left ourselves absolutely zero margin for error to get to that record. Which is bad, because errors is what this team is best at.
  21. Is anyone else sick of hearing about how much these guys love each other? I don't give two shits about who loves who as long as they can play smart football. Did Ossai and Roach decide they hated their teammates on that FG attempt? Or are they just completely uncoached on special teams?
