  1. I really wanted to say inverted Tampa 2, but I have no clue what that is since it isn't an option on my Madden 2013 on my Xbox 360.
  2. I'm no defensive wizard, but apparently our $1.7M defensive coordinator isn't either. I can't for the life of me understand why he is married to this 3 DL tite formation with DBs and LBs playing wait for the snap 5D chess. It would seem that a simple 4 DL with Ossai as one of them backed by a man under Tampa 2 type scheme would work with our athletes as a base defense. Sure throw some exotic things in here and there as a change up and to keep the QB guessing, but our base D shouldn't need to be exotic. We can out athlete a good portion of the conference, and damn sure should be able to out athlete Kansas.
  3. I hope he goes more into our shoulder and neck workouts that he mentioned Saturday night, since that is obviously the culprit in 50% of our defense hurt/injured from neck and shoulder issues. It has nothing to do with tackling form. Has to be lack of shoulder shrugs.
  4. It's amazing how good you can be through the air when no one is covering your WRs. I expect TCU to set offensive records, just like KU.
  5. Tom may get his wish to talk about Kansas this week. What an absolute shit show. I completely agree with Michael Griffins take on the game. Pathetic Defense, I don't give a damn how many players are out. And on the injured players note, how many are injured because they have no fucking clue how to tackle. I know Brandon Jones tackle form had him in the locker room.
  6. So fucking pathetic. Hey Tom, you ready to talk about Kansas?
  7. 17 rushes by running backs. Ingram has nearly 100 on 11 rushes. WTF Tom?
  8. Nice, I have become so used to the "Y" spelling that I didn't even notice it. Even the aggy used the correct spelling.
  9. Counter point: Riley lost primarily because he had a DC that sucked. He fixed that problem and shut us down. We will see what Herman does.
  10. It is. Nobody cares about Kansas unless we lose. Then everyone cares.
  11. I watched a small portion of the game on replay, and the announcer actually said during the broadcast that the OU coaches tell the DBs to hold because it won't get called every time.
  12. I'm not saying I'm right, just trying to answer Burt's question. I wanted to win LSU badly, but I looked at that game as surprising how good LSU was, not how bad we were. Yes it is a small sample size, but last Saturday triggered my Mack PTSD on OU games. Texas was out played and out coached in the biggest game of the year. That didn't seem like a team or coaching staff "up for the big one" to me. Had we played good football and lost, I wouldn't have the same opinion. Now we have 6 games left that are in the area where Herman has historically struggled. Baylor, ISU, TCU and KSU all worry me and getting to 10-2 is a huge task in my opinion. If the team is able to get there, I will consider the season a success and be happy with the results. But that game last Saturday was BAD, and I won't be completely over it until I see how we look next time we take the field against OU.
  13. For me it is very simple, we need to be able to beat OU in order to win this conference. The last 2 shots at OU made me very pessimistic that Herman will beat Riley with any regularity (hell, the last three if you count the way Herman thought he could take his foot off the gas in last year's win). Sure, this game wasn't the embarrassment of the 60-14ish games that Mack produced, but it also felt like we had absolutely zero chance of beating OU from our first offensive series until the final tick of the clock. Riley seems to have inherited Bob's attitude that embarrassing Texas is the cornerstone to success for OU. Herman seems to have inherited Mack's opinion that OU is just another game.
  14. Well, that probably would have helped. But nice straight pine trees only burn for an hour or so, and that didn't correctly illustrate their burning desire to beat tu. So, they decided to start using oak trees and other hard woods (not so straight and easily bound and stacked) which led to a completely unstable build. Based on my knowledge of aggy engineering, I am not certain that age or sobriety would have led to a better structure.
  15. We had a speaker come present on the bonfire collapse in one of my early engineering classes. So easily preventable, with every mistake aggy to the core.

But you didn't consider that maybe Georgia didn't want to play SC at home. It hardly counts as a loss if they didn't
  17. I think Kyler's growing pains ended at around age 8
  18. It just, like... my opinion man. But it wasn't based on those four touches, it was based on 10 rushes for 29 yards against LSU and 11 rushes for 18 yards against WVU. Keontay simply isn't getting it done, aside from one good game against OSU. I was hopeful he would break out this year, but he hasn't come close. Our true freshman QB that volunteered to help at RB should be our starting RB at this point.
  19. We ran the ball 10 times with RBs. One almost broke 100 yards on 8 carries. The other continued to look afraid to play the game. Our other 2 healthy backs never saw the field that I noticed. In a game that has been won 18 out of the last 20 times by the team that runs for more yardage, that is an absolutely unforgivable game plan. Beck calling the plays makes sense based on that stat, since he seems to prefer to throw every down.
  20. Easily his most arrogant moment of any presser this year was when Mensa got asked if he ever thought of putting Smith on the field at the same time as Duvernay. He responded with "why would I do that?" I mean I don't know, but maybe to score more points. Not like either could come close to replacing Brewers contributions
