  1. You know, Paul was being sarcastic when he said to suffer fools gladly
  2. Interestingly, he did not deny being a fraud, husckster, or idiot
  3. You don’t know all the guys we had that was gangsta. VY was not joking around.
  4. If you had friends in the 80s who got mumps and or measles, it was a localized outbreak. Vaccinations have been mandatory since the 70s at least, and parents were much less likely to be loonies who were afraid of their kids getting vaccinated. Those parents grew up in the era of polio and understood what the risks of not vaccinating were. Once you got past elementary school, I’m not sure how strict junior high and high schools were about getting proof of vaccinations, but public universities in Texas were, which is why I had to go get another round
  5. As others have mentioned it’s a combo shot. If you went to public schools in Texas you had to have it. I’ve had like 3 extra boosters from not keeping track of my records. One at UT, one as a resident, and one in practice (hospitals are always asking for your immunization records) also don’t forget You may need one of these because pertussis protection only lasts about 10 years
  6. How did you get into UT without MMR? I couldn’t find my records from elementary school and they made me go get one before enrolling freshman year
  7. So list 5 conservative principles you hold and then specific example from the past month of how the current administration is upholding those principles. bonus points if you can list an example pertaining to Musk
  8. If you accept the premise at hand (not mine but what I was responding to) which I interpret as capitulation rather than fighting a war saves lives, then yes. Close to 90 million died in WW2 if you include civilian deaths. I think it’s pretty clear only a fraction would have died had the US stayed out of it, especially had we not had an antagonistic foreign policy wrt imperial Japan in the lead up. Now, whether the conquering regimes would have ultimately slaughtered more of the conquered than the total dead from WW2 is not really knowable, similar to how the outcome of Ukrainian capitulation is not knowable, but I think we can all guess in both cases what it would look like. If not genocide, then subjugation.
  9. Less loss of life with everyone speaking German
  10. There would have been a lot less loss of life had we stayed out of WW2. Do you think that makes a compelling argument that we should have?
  11. I actually think it comes down to this and only this. They literally can’t see past their own noses
  12. Looks like Trump told one Polack joke too many
  13. This is a bit disingenuous. One republican legislator submitted a bill to abolish the state Dept of Mental Health and Substance Abuse to the DOC. He said he did it to start a conversation about the problems within the dept. He had previously submitted a bill to rename Dept of Corrections to Dept of Corruption. He’s a troll but I guess some of the nuts in the house could take this one seriously
  14. They are past the point of giving a reason
  15. @Ag with kids where you at brother? inquiring minds want to know how you feel about the current Musk administration
  16. I’d rather listen to nails on a chalkboard than that guy talk. I’m assuming he also talks about “Ukrainian Nazis?”
  17. Jokes on you I’m already a cowboys fan
  18. Fuck me I guess I’m a lakers fan for the foreseeable future
  19. Holy hypotelorism. That dude is the poster child for fetal alcohol syndrome
  20. We just want to know how you’re liking these apples
  21. Also people who couldn’t be bothered to vote at all need to suffer so they won’t make the same mistake next time
