  1. It has to be a mind twist for the Major acolytes who bought into the Richie Cunningham vs Eddie Haskell myth only to find out that Major was by far the shittier human being. Well, probably not. Those kind of people don't self-reflect, ever.

I'm pretty sure it gets to an actual in box. Beyond that, no idea.

There are some asks that are a little steep, and that's one of them. Can I interest you in an all-girl punk/grunge band?
  4. F'n A. Well done.

  6. Sam's story is a bit Rudy, a bit Vince Papale, and a bit legit. I can understand why some Texas fans deify him. He was far from a bad athlete, but he was far from an elite athlete, too. "Tough" goes a long ways. One of my HS friends was about as everyday an athlete as they come, but he was fucking relentless. Ended up having a cup of coffee in MLB when we all told him to give up baseball after high school. He was having none of that. D1 to juco back to D1 to rookie to A (you get the idea). Still coaches in the minor leagues. Some guys just don't quit, and a lot of weekend warrior types see their reflection in that.
  7. West Memphis: little known vacation gem
  8. Hold your horses there, cowboy. You must understand -- all young people are lazy, unengaged social media junkies. They couldn't be bothered to learn anything about our history or our system of government.
  9. Laguna is Anastasis. Anastasis is Laguna.
  10. You need to man up and argue in good faith. LMAO.
  11. Can we find a different term?
  12. Y'all will note that our resident fascist "libertarian" has turned tail and avoided me but is determined to inject the phrase "race rhetoric" into the conversation. Drink!
  13. It's not exactly close to Fayetteville, but Hot Springs is kinda cool in a weird way. Worth an overnight visit. There's a giant (formerly) grand hotel there from back in the mob days.
  14. Holy shit. OK, buddy. I honestly wish the best for you.
  15. It's a bad thing that it matters so much to you.
  16. Educate me, professor. You have the biggest brain around these parts. Fill in the gaps for me and the other goldfish.
  17. Whodathunkit?
  18. Yup, goldfish brain. Lucky as hell, though.
  19. Oh go fuck yourself. You care about this shit WAY too much.
  20. I don't think there is much to argue about regarding QE and other rich white UT athletes' political alignment. My only caveat would be to assume that a guy in his young 20's is as entrenched as a guy in his middle age years. Those are two different animals. I can hold out hope for one. For the other? It's a lot more difficult. Most guys who are QE's age are irrational, illogical brain stems who are easily swayed. They may or may not grow into compassionate members of society, but at this level of immaturity it's at least still possible. I'm honestly surprised that shit like that Trump shirt doesn't cause huge problems in college locker rooms overwhelmingly populated by young Black men who were raised in poverty and routinely treated like dogs, but here we are.
  21. Grown ass men "keeping receipts" from message board arguments. Brilliant. Congrats on making it to the league, Quinn. Maybe Dolphins fans won't suck as much ass as Texas "fans".
  22. There are different kinds of creativity. My career has been built on coming up with creative solutions to problems and developing new technologies. That said, I would be a terrible design engineer. I am almost wholly uninterested in (for instance) design for manufacture, etc. I mean, I can read a mechanical drawing, but creating them at the pace and with the quality a good design engineer does? Not in a million years.
  23. Yeah, this isn't difficult, but here we are.
  24. Shit. I always thought it was the "Nobel Prize". Apparently it's the "Noble Prize". Don't I have egg on my face!
