Chuy's went to a skeletal menu during covid and a lot of it never came back. My wife always got a sopapilla and charro/borracho beans. We don't go there any more.

. . . and they formed before that song was released. (Not saying you were on the bandwagon right when they formed, I fully get how you could write them off.)

I asked Britt & Jim about the name once -- they claimed (perhaps in hindsight) it was a riff on "Can" and I believe "Wire". Ultimately, I think a band name starts to disassociate from the meaning of the word. I'm not sure many late-era REM and U2 fans understand the back stories.

I've found it so interesting how they've sort of lurked at gold record status for a couple of decades now, with absolutely impeccable critical reception, yet they often seem to be touring as support for far lesser bands, playing the dinner slot at festivals, etc. They're definitely not hurting for money, but man they should be so much bigger.
  5. They should start with 34 photos of Trump.
  6. In comparison, sure. Quinn is almost exactly the same size as Colt McCoy -- one inch taller, a couple of pounds lighter. I'd be interested in hearing from those who know what exactly tends to make a guy "injury prone". Is it an innate structural issue, is it scheme, is it more of an inability to play with pain, other? Quinn sure did get hurt, a lot.
  7. Not sure where this goes. The Boss standing in for Joe Ely as Joe couldn't make his American Music Honors set. Get well soon, Joe.
  8. Right. Into. My. Veins.
  9. I wouldn't begin to rank them, but those teams have some talent, and in this NIL/portal era it probably doesn't hurt to get eyes on their players and see if there is someone we want next year.
  10. A&M had a much harder conference schedule you stupid sips.
  11. Dammit, I keep messing this up: Football: UT 1 A&M 0 Basketball: UT 2 A&M 1 Baseball: UT 3 A&M 0
  12. That's not even close, he's out
  13. Good god I can only hope the broadcast crew fellates A&M even more.
  14. I love seeing Earley chirping at his pitching coach Mangino.
  15. I'm starting to think they need to administer a test to people who want to sit along the baselines. Pay attention, lady.
  16. That wasn't a bad interview with Prager. I'm loathe to support a guy wearing maroon but he seems pretty sharp.
  17. Sam was a lot of fun to watch as a college QB. Tough to map him to the NFL, but hey, he's still there. Can't argue with that.
  18. I don't think that's an accurate characterization, but it really doesn't matter, he never said Quinn had "no flaws". I mean, come on. Well, I often acknowledged ares where Quinn needed to improve. Tons of us did. Players are who they are. I'm wrong every day, and I'm at the top of my field. I mean, the inability to see shades of gray and just accept that guys are gonna make mistakes is mind-boggling. I've always suspected this is amplified because Arch is on the bench. Talk about "backup QB is always the Texas favorite" syndrome. Never mind what the Manning family wanted for Arch in terms of time on the 40 acres.
  19. I'm deleting my post, I can't be any more of the problem than I already am.
  20. How was THAT not a strike?
  21. Oh for fucks sake, I don't have it in me start parcing this lunacy. Stop being so butthurt when people disagree with your over the top stupid takes. Nobody said Quinn Ewers had no flaws. Nobody. Find it and I will donate $100 to your charity of choice. I mean, come the fuck on. "No flaws". Joe Montana had flaws. Dan Marino had flaws. You bitches who exagerrate like my wife does just ruin any reasonable discourse.
  22. No, that was last year when Gash played at TTech.
  23. No, it was a fly out and they were just jawing at each other.
