  1. Skatenigs should open for Tears for Fears.
  2. You laugh, but that will be one of the narratives. I spotted a flaw in his logic.
  3. Most of them didn't believe the prosecutions and convictions were legitimate. Regardless, what they are really saying is that they believe a 34X convicted felon who has no concern for the truth is a better choice than the brown lady who blew her way to the top, because that's what FOX News and Hannity, Tucker, Bongino and the other boys drilled into their lizard brains.

    Pizza

I was recommending the downtown spot, regardless. I actually didn't think the pizza at the Anderson Lane location was as good. It was hard to pick Backspace over Buffalina Due or Little Deli, both within walking distance, or Homeslice or Feral a short drive south.
  5. Do you expect to be taken seriously when you post utter bullshit like this?
  6. I wonder how many tube guitar amps, bass amps, stereo amps & preamps have caused fires as a fraction of total sales? Like, 0.0001%? I know of none among my circle, which isn't tiny, and in terms of audio equipment, most of it gets left powered up 24/7.
  7. I'm pretty sure I didn't suggest that.
  8. OK, thanks for the wealth lesson, dad(s). Yeesh.
  9. Here's a thing: which of the guys from many decades past could excel at Texas now? I'm not sure Street or Nobis could. I'm pretty damn sure Earl could.
  10. Nah. I know one of the richest guys in Texas. He is actively working to invest a big chunk of money into initiatives that will improve lives on a global scale, addressing food, climate, and energy concerns. Bill Gates is essentially giving it all away. Warren Buffet has given at least half of it away. George Soros (trigger!) is equally magnaminous. The list goes on. I'm not saying they aren't unusual, but I don't think we're quite at "pretty close to mutually exclusive".
  11. It's roughly the size of Trump's tiny little fist.
  12. I sure wish those pickups were chrome.
  13. What? Clemens was a 2-time All-American at Texas. I don't have a problem with anyone who says Swindell was better in college (or even Kieschnick, as he was a beast on the mound and at the plate), but either your statement is a typo or you're not thinking clearly.
  14. There aren't too many artists who can take the same 12 notes and twist them into something wholly different from a melodic and harmonic perspective. He was one of them, up there with titans like Stravinsky, Mozart, Miles Davis, etc. Crazy talented dude.
  15. I think it probably shows up in perishables first, to whatever extent they are exposed to tariffs, because they have to be purchased wholesale much closer to the date of retail sale. WalMart can warehouse an immense amount of paper towels, but a lot of food just doesn't fit that model. I make my older dog's food and just got back from the store. Her blueberries have probably gone up 50% in the last year or so.
  16. Christ, it was almost 40 years ago. All I remember clearly was Meg boobs and a pissed off film crew.
  17. Those farts aren't gonna sniff themselves.
  18. JFC, nobody who isn't an Aggie has ever said that's the greatest band in the world.
  19. Color me skeptical.
  20. For those who use Penzey's spices, they're running a 50% off special on their taco seasonings, all sizes. I believe it's today only. I love their stance on Republicans in general and this administration in particular.
  21. Don't think so.
  22. Thanks for the history lesson, Dad. I was there.
  23. Jerritt Elliot has won 3 national titles, Jody won 1.
