  1. Our campsite will be an RV park in West Yellowstone. Not much availability for RV parking spots in the park at this point. I haven’t checked since the flood though. Thanks for the recs on trails! Latest entrants in the bison petting zoo game: https://fb.watch/dYvHPj0Lw0/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Decided not to cancel or re-route our trip, despite the recent flood. The tour guide we hired for a day in Yellowstone says it won’t have any impact on the tour they have planned for us. However, based on the odd/even license plate entrance thing they’ve put in place, we’ve got one day in West Yellowstone where we won’t be able to drive our rental car into the park. I looked at your Mesa Falls Scenic Byway detour recommendations on Google maps, and that looks like a fun detour for our trip up from SLC. I’m not sure if it’ll fill an entire day though. Looking for some ideas that would that don’t involve driving into the park. I wish Glacier were a day trip from there but no such luck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  6. Well this blows. Wondering if my Yellowstone/GT family RV trip in July/August needs to be re-routed to Arches/Zion at this point. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. Do SEC baseball fans have to pay for a subscription to watch their team in their conference tournament? Or is that just the shitty big 12? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I did a similar thing on a pontoon and while I was driving down the highway, the bungees didn’t do their job. My bimini then blew around in the wind and damaged one of the zippers. Bimini was a pain after that. I should’ve just bought the replacement boot, especially at under $100. Also, I’m always going back and forth on whether or not the Bimini is open or closed, depending on the weather. When I’m surfing in cooler weather, the last thing I want is shade. 14. Maybe it’s still too early to call, but this seems like the rare instance of pussy being defeated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Interesting. So the case against the owner isn’t even a negligence case. It’s purely about invoking coverage. Crazy how the media will do anything to perpetuate the frivolous lawsuit myth. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Barring some evidence we haven’t heard, ‘negligence law’ won’t support a verdict anywhere in this country. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. This is a loser of a negligent entrustment claim, but it’s not what’s wrong with America. What’s wrong with America is that this lawsuit, which cost the defendant nothing but minor inconvenience, got more attention than the death of this 42-year-old husband and father whose only crime was working for a living at an apparently understaffed/undertrained place of employment. This lawsuit will be used, as usual, to spread the myth of frivolous lawsuits filling our courthouses while the reality is that it’s the insurance companies filling our courthouses with frivolous defenses and lowball offers on legitimate claims. Not defending the lawsuit. It’s weak. It will be lucky to survive a No-Evidence MSJ and even luckier to ever result in a judgment for the plaintiff. All the costs associated with it will be paid by either the plaintiff that filed it, who buried a loved one as a result of someone else’s negligence, or the defendant’s insurer, who profits massively off its premiums and investments and won’t feel one bit of pinch from this case, win or lose. That’s what courthouses are for, letting juries pick the winners and losers. If you were more bothered by the lawsuit than the loss of life, count yourself amongst the insurance industry’s sheep. You’ve been distracted and played. You won’t know it until you’re in front of a lawyer being advised as to why your own seemingly valid claim for your own losses to yourself or family have no value and will not be properly compensated due to the same tort reform you supported. 18. Well, he's not currently in Travis County or Jefferson County jail.
  19. The one hike I kind of have my heart set on is Delta Lake. Not sure my kids will be up to the task or not though. Their hiking experience thus far is mostly around central Texas and about half the length of that one.
  20. What are some things you wish you'd packed for this trip that you didn't? Or that you're glad you packed and would recommend others not forget? Bear spray is one. Binoculaurs is another. What else? Gonna get some hiking boots for the wife and kids, and I'll make them wear them in a bit before the trip. Quality flash lights. Bug spray. Rain coats. What am I forgetting?
  21. Bunch of google lawyers on the wrong code and section. Try Texas Penal Code 38.04. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. So were the fleeing and arrest today? Or was the fleeing a couple weeks ago back when he was suspended for violating team rules and the arrest just finally happened?
