  1. I really don’t know where to begin. I have VTEB in my wealthfront account and it seems to be fine. I haven’t done a great deal of detailed research though. One thing I would advise if you get into muni funds is to check the state allocation. Try to stay away from high % allocations to broke states like Illinois, New Jersey, Connecticut. That’s one thing I’ve read to look out for. PIMCO has some solid returns from muni CEFs that use leverage to juice the yields... again that’s a bit higher level of risk than a normal bond fund but there’s a lot of arguments out there that a Biden administration would be quicker to bail out municipalities than the previous one /no CR.
  2. Baratza encore and aero press for a single cup, steel french press for multiple cups, and I just got a technivorm moccamaster for multiple cups. Can’t wait to try out the technivorm, it’s in the mail. also you guys who are buying bulk roasted shit like Peet’s or whatever need to step your game up and find some local roasters. I prefer medium roast Costa Rican and Colombian, also found some really good Ethiopian medium roasts. Very fruity without much acid and it doesn’t have that burnt black taste.
  3. It’s definitely salty. I like it but I can tell it’s noticeably saltier than other Marie Sharpes hot sauces.
  4. Sounds like you’re describing Red Wings. I’ve got to get me a new pair when I get back to the states. My current ones are finally falling apart after about 6 years of near daily use in the oilfields.
  5. It’s showing fine for me. My tickets are still in the pool. We’re up to like 6300 tix or so. Pretty solid.
  6. Nobody is gearing up shit and all the long lead FID projects take 2-3 years to spin up and they just don’t have anything in the queue these days.
  7. I always love flying into Schiphol in April.
  8. It’s been pretty well covered in this thread Investing in a franchise
  9. I did some research and ended up on the messermeister four piece set. They’ve been sitting in my Amazon cart ever since so I can’t offer you any kind of outcome. I’m currently overseas for work. Give me a month and I’ll let you know. Messermeister Avanta 4-Piece 5 Fine Edge Steak Knife Set, Pakkawood Ha...Amazon link
  10. Most safe - Yotta savings account. I’m storing my cash here now after trying it out. It’s getting better yield than a high yield online savings account. less safe - bond funds. There’s A whole world of them out there. VTEB doesn’t seem like a terrible choice especially given its tax exempt. you can pretty go all the way out the yield ladder to HYG or JNK if you like. If you wanted to get fancy and get a little more juice you could park a little in each tranche of risk. There’s some PIMCO CEFs Ive been eyeing for a while too but I never pulled the trigger on em yet. I’m in the process of selling a house too and about to have the same issue here in a month or so.
  11. I agree. Good week. I’m gonna dump in a bunch of my high yield savings account money as Yotta is providing a higher return. It’ll probably be next week before those show up.
  12. I can see from my perspective it will smooth out my weekly results. I’ll kick a few K more in soon. So far this is beating the .6 I’m getting from my high yield online savings.
  13. An I confused? What does hooking onto a Nilgai mean. It got caught up in his landing gear??
  14. I’m making weekly deposits so I’ll just toss the tix into the pool every week. Not too worried about withdrawals.
  15. Maybe you guys have never been to the heavy oil fields in San Joaquin valley. We are doing the exact same shit in California boys.
  16. Well you need to take into the account the discount between WTI to western Canada select. More export capacity means a lower discount. The below interactive chart shows how bad it can get sometimes ($40+ difference). https://economicdashboard.alberta.ca/OilPrice
  17. Yea. That was definitely the other one I had my eyes on. It’s pretty much ole reliable as far as I can tell.
  18. Damn. All the snow is in PNW and BC looks like. Sunshine in banff area has a good base too. I was reading this is pretty typical for La Niña years.
  19. I’m looking into picking up my first hunting rifle and I don’t want to get too exotic with the cartridge. Best cartridge for Rocky Mountain whitetail muleys and potentially Elk? I’m thinking 7mm mag after doing some research.
  20. Check the snow report man. It looks like it could be pretty thin there.
  21. I’ve flown International and domestic business in august, October, and November. It depends on the airline but it’s definitely less of an experience than it used to be. I’ve still been getting cocktails on delta international but its airplane bottles not the pours from Fifths. I flew Turkish international though and they only had wine in the 187 ml servings. Dinner was still good but also a little more congested with all the plastic coverings and bullshit.
  22. Do you know of a good resource for these issues as far as California goes? I’m selling a house in California to a friend of mine who’s been renting from me for a few years and we’re trying to go down this path as well. I found this resource for the sales contract and disclosures but I don’t see anything about timing and dates? https://eforms.com/purchase-agreements/ca/
