  1. He's being penalized because he struggled big time at camps. Let's not try to rationalize it. A lot of guys play OT in HS and then rep at OG. 3 stars feels appropriate for Majors.
  2. I just want to add "somewhere else in the SEC that isn't Bama" since we play them 22/23. I enjoy aggy schadenfreude as much as anyone, but a Demas flip would be less funny when he lines up against us.
  3. As we land these big commitments, let's not lose track of what's important: our ranking. We're up to #4 right now. Juan Davis will put us .12 behind OSU so if the BOMC can work fast by this weekend we could be top 3.
  4. Suchomel I was a Preston Stone guy. The more I learned about Milroe beyond his HUDL the happier I was with him as the take. But now I'm sold and never going back. Also watch Milroe's face at the end of the video. Even if we weren't his first choice, kid's excited.
  5. Orlando is pretty strict with the LB rotation. I don't see him regularly playing the second stringers outside of garbage time. They'll all get a shot, but I don't see him deviating from playing his main three guys almost exclusively once he knows who they are.
  6. Spiegelman put in Texas picks for Clayton Smith and Juan Davis
  7. Us not offering Stowers doesn't have anything to do with my point Both schools took the first QB willing to pull the trigger. In both cases there were more highly ranked (by the services) guys available. When Stone commits elsewhere there will be similar comments here about how we could have had him but took Milroe instead and how Herman got the guy he wanted and so on. Although Surly has wanted Milroe for awhile now so it's not just spin Exactly I'm not trying to compare Milroe and Stowers. Milroe is clearly better. Even though I really like Stone, I'm perfectly happy with Milroe as our take. Video alone has me sold.
  8. Y'all are laughing at them sticking up for Stowers but it's basically the same thing as us taking Milroe over Stone If Stone committed to a rival in a couple weeks we'd be saying the same shit
  9. Is Brandon Campbell the one that's a lock? IIRC there were two guys that were supposed to be locks that we offered over the summer. I want to say Campbell and a LB
  10. The flip side is that Liebrock is the only one that was a competitive recruitment and Beck seemed like the primary guy there.
  11. I think ctj has a point that OU is also a super unique situation in that they had 2 heisman winning QBs + Hurts transfer in (plus they haven't had the talent across the board to win a CFP game yet). He just went full ctj in communicating it.
  12. Rivals article is still up. From some dude named Josh Helmholdt
  13. Random complaint here but I hate #UTDLine I always see it as #UTD Line not #UT DLine Maybe it's because I'm from Dallas and have a bunch of friends that went to UT Dallas Also just for the record the Hester news is coming from the Midwest Rivals guy
  14. Also I'm not sure if this has been mentioned but Roach mentioned on the LHB podcast that one of Fillinger's high school coaches played for Todd Orlando at Utah State
  15. Suchomel put out a lot of details about Broughton's recruitment
  16. I'd call him a poor man's JaQuinden Jackson I disagree with the idea that a guy will take as much punishment as Sam if he's a similar athlete. Sam seeks out contact more than most running backs. There have been tons of successful dual threat QBs that aren't built like Sam.
  17. I wouldn't hold any reporting on Broughton against anybody He was pretty clearly telling people different things so that he could announce it when nobody was expecting it
  18. Interestingly, Fillinger is our first out of state commit after so much success there last year and this idea that we were going to be a national recruiting brand/power this cycle I can't even think of anyone out of state that we might add, though I'm sure we will find a couple more
  19. Maybe I'm in the minority but I want Stone much more than Milroe
  20. There was a Rivals article this week with an tOSU mod talking about some national prospects. He said they looked good for both Ransom and Robinson. He added that he felt better about Robinson than Ransom. Ransom committed within a couple days. Take that for what you will as you try to talk yourself into us getting Robinson.
  21. Do we really have to discuss what is and isn't a silent again? It's not that hard y'all
  22. So not add more fuel to the flames in here, but the other day on Rivals they had an OSU mod talking about their national recruiting. He said he felt more confident about Robinson than he did about Ransom. First I had heard about it like that.
  23. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that basically the exact position Leal was in last year going into his senior season? Then he balled out and earned his fifth star
