  1. They've been getting roasted for days
  2. OB quotes from Princely
  3. Wow. That Brauninger post is timestamped at 3:32. BC dropped the shh at 2:43. That man actually said Princely was trending to aggy after he had committed to Texas.
  4. Princely, Collins, Jordan, Alford, Eaton, and Johnston brings the class to 281.30 composite score. That's about 6 points behind our score last year and leaves a couple spots for LVBS/Hester and this mythical 'high school linebacker' you mention. Adding LVBS and Josh White would be 286.96. My rule of thumb is that a score of 285+ is a great class. It generally lands you in the top 5 or right outside of it (that's how it looks this year). 300 is excellent, top 3ish level, and can be a foundation for a championship (our 2018 class was 300.06). Regularly scoring 285 while hitting 300 every couple years should be plenty to win a lot of games i.e. compete for the conference and playoffs annually with credible championship aspirations every couple years.
  5. I was going to post I really like Campbell. I don't know much about Johnson's recruitment, but it seems like getting any 2 of those 3 would be great. Getting 1 of the three would set up nicely for a good class depending on who the other take is.
  6. I'm glad we have the talent at WR to demand blocking. I think it's really underrated. Duvernay is quite good at it and Collin has improved a lot as well. He made some big blocks on LJH and Ingram TDs. It's nice that we can sit a guy for not blocking well and still have a quality receiving option take his snaps.
  7. Even if they don't fire Malzahn, it only takes one bagman getting upset to stop making payments or pull a job offer. From Godfrey's article: It's also how lame duck coaching staffs are created. If a majority of bag men want a particular coach out and an A.D. or president won't make a move, they'll just dry up funds. "The coach won't know exactly when we decide to make that happen, but they've got a good idea. Then we get to see just how damn good a recruiter he really is. I know one of our guys once stopped putting in big bucks, way more than what I do, just because a head coach cussed too much on the team plane. [The coach] was losing anyway, but because he took the Lord's name in vain, that guy was offended by his morality and stopped illegally paying college football players."
  8. Depends on the season imo. If the boosters want Malzahn gone, they could easily decide to pull the plug on his recruiting. Even if he isn't fired they could end up crippling him to keep him on the hot seat.
  9. So in the second scenario from that last picture, the guy thinks that the A&M staff will invite kids to visit with the intention of giving them the cold shoulder once they're on campus. Instead of just being straightforward and honest. Sounds like a dick move.
  10. Same concept as boxing. Gloves protect the hands, not the face. There are less injuries in bare-knuckle boxing.
  11. Blades has been enrolled for awhile
  12. Eaton visits and delays decision Pouncey commits Eaton commits to A&M I don't think that timeline is coincidental
  13. Pretty sure he's talking about Achane
  14. I think Latrell Neville may have committed over the weekend.
  15. Fuck it, let's do it ourselves
  16. Some Anwar Richardson practice notes. I'm skeptical of several parts, like calling Johnson and Epps fast. I wonder what's going on with Anthony Cook. I also wonder if Duvernay has been moved to slot because they think Eagles would win the Z spot in a position battle. We know the staff likes to play vets unless absolutely forced not to. If (this is a big if and not something I think will happen) Smith/Moore and Eagles are both demonstrably better than Duvernay in games then I wonder how the staff would handle it.
  17. I generally find the way this thread talks about the QB/RB run thing really annoying, but the first paragraph here is right. Aggies obviously butcher the whole thing, but the point is that Sam had 16/24 rushing TDs last year. He had three times as many as Ingram and Watson combined. It’s not about carries or yards. The teams we’re fighting for top RBs are talking to them about Heismans and the NFL draft and then pointing out a truth about Herman: a fundamental part of his offensive philosophy is running the QB with the RB as a lead blocker in order to create a numbers advantage. In important moments, that’s Herman’s bread and butter. He’s not going to change that for recruiting. He’ll call whatever plays give us the best chance to put points on the board. For now that means RBs are more likely to block than to get a designed run in short distance and goal line situations As our OL and RB talent improves, the problem will go away but until then that pitch will be used against us. It’s an easy enough pitch to counter. Bijan shows they can use Zeke Elliot effectively. Herman also knows that he needs to protect Sam so I expect RB red zone carries to go up in non-important games. (Side note: using RPOs instead of zone reads is also a smart adjustment.) But until we see better production from RBs we’re going to hear about it. Also I haven’t forgotten about D’Onta Foreman. But in the same way that we talk about poor draft results not being Herman’s doing, neither was D’Onta.
  18. Until Eaton/Jimbo/Princely release a joint statement denying it, there's no way to know whether the post I just made up is true or not.
  19. Probably wasn't the sole reason. There were probably many thousands.
  20. Damn his dad fucked him over Then again how could we ever compete with this illustrious list of Auburn Safeties and Linebackers drafted in the last decade: Deshaun Davis (2019 6th round) Rudy Ford (2017 6th round) Corey Lemonier (2013 3rd round) Auburn was clearly the better choice for his development
  21. I can't believe anybody would believe that volleyball story lol They were actually playing water basketball. Eaton threw an alley oop to Princely, who ended up violently t-bagging Jimbo while finishing the oop.
  22. I agree but the funny thing is that Ingram says he was highly disappointed in last year
