  1. We have a better resume at 10-2 than they have at 11-1 (with us spoiling). They beat ND sure, but they are overrated this year and aggy needed some cheating to win that game. LSU won't be ranked after this weekend and aggy again benefitted by a shitload of bad and non calls. Absent that the game would have at least been close if not an LSU win. sure aggy beat MSST and Florida but (1) those games were at home; (2) the opposing teams were in a different place aggy sure as shit didn't have the balls to go on the road to OSU and only come up 1 score short. They continue to schedule powerhouses like Samford instead.....
  2. Thanks for triggering a lot of old trauma.
  3. Attention rules experts - is there a scenario where both teams can lose here?
  4. Fat Elmo to PSU keeps building up more and more mentions as the days go by. It will be interesting to see if he has a done deal and sandbags aggy the rest of the season.
  5. The SEC is getting bottom heavy and while tradition is grand and everything it doesn't pay bills when it comes time for TV contracts. If you look at the conference today for football MSST just doesn't belong (like a few, cough cough, others) and collectively they need to go. Blue Bloods: bama Georgia Texas On the Cusp/Good enough: LSU Auburn ou Tennessee Florida Necessary Evil: Miss pig SC Kentucky Doesn't belong: MSST aggy vandy Mizz
  6. She would not be happy with that 66-6 guy....
  7. I think Sark is being called out plenty this year. Whether he actions on all that calling out is the key question.
  8. Your statement is a bit of a straw man. They do draw 2mm viewers occasionally (and always on the back of a blue blood program) but average much much lower. Their worst rated games (plural) are down in the 20k area. aggy has no national appeal and ratings for our games, even within the state only, are orders of magnitude higher. They bring nothing to the SEC and are feeding off big brother's TV money yet again, just like the Big 12/SWC days. If aggy gets the boot from the SEC, which I think would make economic sense, they would be middle of the pack, at best, in the American of CUSA in terms of what they bring in terms of viewership, program budget, and visibility. aggy would be a solid add for those conferences but not automatic if we are being honest.
  9. An undefeated season that's a complete dumpster fire - Shit facilities and even the scant effort aggy has made to improve them only makes them worse An impossible place to recruit - probably tied with or slightly behind Lubbock He's slowly losing recruiting battles and his class has been tumbling down the rankings for months now Athletics department in a mess financially (see free renewals for long time season ticket holders and the resulting "sold out" crowds that are 40-50k at most) NIL money is trending downward and doing so quite hard About to hit the meat of his schedule and probably go 1-4 or 2-3 at best SEC experiencing a hangover from bringing in aggy and Mizzou, two teams that contribute nothing to the conference, instead of actual blue blood programs, resulting in some big freaking question marks going forward. He's not even remotely a good coach but his stock is as high as it's going to get. As far as credibility with recruits. First, that doesn't fund his retirement. Second, would he have more credibility recruiting a kid there if he stayed until the end of the season before leaving and the kid ends up finishing his senior year at an aggy that's probably sub-500 in CUSA? Either way the poor kid that is dumb enough to listen to him is probably not very happy.
  10. Also shows that he's completely fed up with the dumpster fire that is aggy athletics. Lot of buzz still on twitter that he's going to bail mid-season due to all the unrest.
  11. All the words hurt my eyes
  12. Also in FPI we are ranked the third highest in the SEC, behind only Georgia and bama. So any trip by those teams and we move in to #1 in the SEC, which should be good enough for at least a 1st round playoff game.
  13. At 9-3 we jump 10-2 programs with less of a resume. Going through the SEC, having the talent we do, and playing @ OSU is a big bump in our resume.
  14. With the exception of like 2 years with Manziel aggy and Kentucky have traded last place in the SEC ratings. This is why it is bullshit they get a full share of the TV revenue as that has trended even worse since we joined and take school agnostic texas-based eyeballs. This is getting to be a bigger and bigger issue and probably leads to changes when the next TV deal is being negotiated. At least KY brings other sport viewers, aggy sucks at all sports and has zero national appeal (or even awareness).
  15. Yes - PSU's donor base smokes them - and aggy's NIL well is drying up. Fact is they have a handful of big donors but they built a huge, ugly, expensive stadium that they've filled like twice and don't have new money coming in. aggy's chances of having any meaningful NIL money next year is damn near zero.
  16. I like to break my problems down in to small, manageable bites. #5 is rapidly on the way to resolving itself with more and more chatter that Elmo is gone before the end of the season (and if his agent is smart before his overrated team goes on a 1-4 tear). Even Bruce Feldmen has gone full in on fat Elko as the most likely followed by Rhule. Now on to the other 4....
  17. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DPzghykDaZG/?igsh=MWd3ZDYzcnQ5dXI0NA%3D%3D Looking more and more like Elko is hitting the road....
  18. Tech has one motivated mega-donor. They are doing well but hanging by a string....specifically the whims and alive-ness of that donor - kind of like the peril (albeit each managed things differently) at Oregon and Okie State.
  19. I was trying to group those group at kind of a low resolution. If I'm a coach shopping for a job winning history is important but other factors like available money, conference placement, and recruiting capabilities are also part of the equation. If we get granular I'd say they break down as Top Tier Programs: Penn State Florida Auburn Second Tier: UCLA FSU Arkansas Third Tier Programs: Virginia Tech Okie State Wisconsin Tech* Fourth Tier: UAB Oregon State aggy I think he'd be a good fit at Arkansas, FSU, or VT. If he goes early and there's no other takers for Elko I could see Tech writing the check to get him in Lubbock next year.
  20. To say this season's carousel might be the craziest ever would be an understatement. The number of programs in the hunt could be crazy. Barring some turn arounds it could very well be something like.. Top Tier Programs: UCLA Penn State Florida Auburn FSU Second Tier Programs: Virginia Tech Okie State Arkansas UAB Oregon State Wisconsin Aggy* Tech* *Added these as it is looking more and more likely fat Elko and McGuire move to top tier programs this year And that's just where we are now.....with half the season left for coaches to fuck up.
  21. There's zero excuse for this and it has to be on fair park. Houston Rodeo on a night with 200k people? cell signal at least usable with the multitude of temporary towers deployed by carriers. Kerr County 48 hours after devastating floods? same answer as above. Fair park? omg no signal whatsoever
  22. Elko had to the super deep "it is what it is" answer at his presser so we can assume both hurt and hurt bad. Other than Samford I think the rest of their games are toss ups or beat down (Mizz, LSU and Sark are going to put the beat down on this below average team). Like I said before aggy isn't ready to play big boy football and going up against good teams week after week is going to be one hell of a shock to this soft ass team.
  23. aggy doesn't have the money to give him a raise. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised to see him eject mid-season this year. He was pretty clear - if you read between the lines - that the aggy job was a stepping stone to a quality location. He's been actively looking the entire time he's been there. Aside from the cash flow issue aggy has more mounting problems. They continue to turn in some of the worst TV numbers in the SEC so at some point their stage is going to get a lot smaller (i.e. bought out and forced to move conferences). The schools actually bringing in eyeballs and money are not going to be interested in equally sharing revenue. The "have nots" in the SEC - the schools with bad ratings, poor sports performance, and who are so far behind the facilities curveball that there is no way they can ever catch up - are going to have a reckoning when the next media deal comes up. Thing aggy, vanderbilt, maybe kentucky, etc. If Elko doesn't eject before then he risks trying to jump to an actual high profile job from what will probably be a sunbelt school.
