  1. That hasn't been the problem. Off target and low football IQ plays by QB has.
  2. We're going to win this game 35-3, but very unfulfilled. I predict, as an unapologetic optimist, that Arch will come around and be good.
  3. Has Arch's throwing motion always been like this?
  4. 5/16 69 yds and an int. Fucking horrible. Is it possible Manning sucks?
  5. He's shitting bricks because he's culpable, he knows it and he foresees the potential consequences.
  6. I speak teen. Skibidi Ohio.
  7. Reading about groypers and Fuentes and listening to him speak and reading their communications - I don't understand any of it. Makes me feel old and out of touch. Helldivers meme? WTF is that? Makes me also think that humans haven't really adapted to the internet and social media yet. This is a computer-influenced world and it's happened too fast for us. What we are seeing all around us are the symptoms and consequences. Allow me to coin "techdolescence." That's where we are.
  8. I have no idea what he was talking about.
  9. The 2016 election was the end result of all of those events and factors I mentioned, and more. That was the slap-in-the-face moment that we could no longer deny - all of the bad shit about America has now come home to roost.
  10. Every point in our country's history contributed to this moment. More recently: the Civil Rights movement, the pill and the rise of feminism, the Federalist Society and Newt Gingrich, Citizens United, repeal of the Fairness Doctrine, Rush Limbaugh, Fox News, the internet, Trump. Add in the reduction of the middle class, huge income inequality, the failure of the U.S. education system, the existence of the 2nd Amendment, "Christian" fundamentalism, the election of a black President, the near election of a female president, huge numbers of brown immigrants who speak Spanish and the general character of Americans as rich, self-belief in exceptionalism, entitled, frontier-inspired independent and ignorant and there you go.
  11. I picked the wrong week to quit drinking.
  12. Trump's Jan. 6th Speech
  13. I don't think they stay quiet because they know it's wrong. They stay quiet because they know what the reaction will be to them outing themselves as misogynists and bigots. They don't want those consequences.
  14. There are two parts of this that are factually incorrect. "Innocent" and "celebrating." He wasn't innocent. He literally championed the very gun rights that got him killed. Liberals are not celebrating. Well, maybe some are. Most on this board are not. The Dem politicians are not. You can't tell me that conservatives wouldn't be celebrating way, way more if Rachel Maddow or Jon Stewart got killed.
  15. Altuve has to be the worst baserunner in MLB.
  16. What are the odds that Framber hitting Salazar was intentional? Does this really happen? I get that you're pissed because you shook him off and got shelled, twice. But fuck, man. Drilling your own catcher because of your own fuckups? That's pretty fucking low. Hard to believe it was intentional.
  17. This is why I will vote for that man for President.
  18. Yeah, you've described the right-wing narrative. They think the moment a kid says, "I think I'm trans" that a surgeon appears for gender reassignment surgery. It's so ignorant and absurd. As with almost every issue, there's much more depth and a lot of nuance. The public can't know every trans person's history. I would be willing to assume that a huge percentage of them receive gobs of treatment of one kind or another. And they certainly do if they seek medical treatment like hormones or surgery. To do otherwise would be medically unethical and probably malpractice. Are there unethical doctors out there committing malpractice? It's probably happened, but far, far from the rule.
  19. I've had a similar experience to Willfully. My BIL has a trans kid. They live far away, so I haven't been around them that much to really have a strong idea of why it happened. From my limited view, the kid was very normal growing up. It appeared to me to be a confusion/attention-seeking thing. But again, what do I know? I agree with Goredho that there does seem to be more GD now, but it's possible that with growing acceptance that more people are being outwardly honest because they feel a bit more comfortable and empowered. It could also be that external influences, like online shit, are confusing kids or causing more kids to believe they are trans. It could be a little bit of both.
  20. This post actually took my breath away. Zeus, do you know what else all of those people have in common? THEY ARE MENTALLY ILL!!! I don't know how to tell you this nicely, but you are wrong about everything.
  21. Oh, God. Please don't be true.
  22. State takeover of equity in private companies? I did not have that on my bingo card. I mean, I shredded my bingo card a long time ago, but this was not on it.
  23. I bet she can suck a golf ball through a garden hose, though.
