Candace Owens has balls. Sorry I meant Brigitte Macron has balls.
What policy matter is implicated here?

I think Macron, at best, is the victim here. While I acknowledge she's a public figure, she's just living her life. It's like attacking Melania or Michelle, it doesn't really sit right.

I saw it on a news feed. I don't think this ends well for Candace. I went to her website to find her response. And whatever you think of her, that response is amazing. I'm here for the car crash.

The Italy Thread
I've been there. We were hiking of course. No issue with crowds. The pics do not really give you the feel for all of it. I just wanted to say that the problem with jacking prices is that you price out the locals. Also, no offense, but lots of old people in those lines.

I don't know what is going on, but this is some of the funniest shit I have ever seen. Brigitte and her former student are suing for defamation. Fucking wild.

2021 - Is inflation finally back in the conversation?
In lieu of your TDS, you might try and understand the system and how it works. The money printing is driven by government borrowing and spending. the nearly 50% inflation we just experienced under Biden doesn't leave me feeling comfortable that if a Democrat is in charge we can trust them to guarantee stable prices. Which party do you trust to guarantee stable prices? Also, please show your work where this "independence" didn't decrease the value of the dollar by 99% over the last 100 years.

I am not as sold as I was on "Fed Independence". Firstly, why should we have rogue agencies? It seems like a failed model of governance. Second, the bigger picture is that the Fed has failed in every way, why would I even care if they are independent? Third, their mandate is price stability and full employment. But the big problem is that their interest rates will bankrupt the federal government. They weren't set up to deal with this. There is no "best case scenario" for the Fed. They are useless. Rate hikes do not reduce tariffs, what a ludicrous idea. It's an absurd institution. There will be rate repression and surging inflation. There can be nothing else. There are no good outcomes with bad government. June money supply grew about 4%, lower than the rate that would support 2% inflation. We are well below the 2% target. We will continue to see lower CPI for the near term, mostly due to a lack of animal spirits.

I think my worst was 96 in a 45. Although I did get two tickets from the same cop within a week once. Don't do wheelies on the Drag at 0800 in the morning. "Your honor I promise not to do it again. I need to drive to go to work. Please let me keep my license".

I just found out that the IBRX total short position is around 50% of the float, which itself is only around 25% of total shares but that's still 50%. Anyway it makes IBRX a little bit more attractive.

Conference Board leading economic indicators continue to get worse and be in recession territory. https://www.conference-board.org/topics/us-leading-indicators/ Retail sales up less than 1% in nominal dollars. Jobs extremely weak. Hourly earnings down. Month on month CPI below the 2.0% target. You can guess where I think inflation and growth are headed.
