  1. Honestly, I think Walker is being treated with kid gloves a bit because it's just so fucking sad. If there was a way to go scorched earth on the people that put him up to this in a manner that would be effective, that's the route. But I don't think it exists. I also don't think that he's all there enough to realize how fucking embarrassing it is to hear what comes out of his mouth. At some point Warnock is going to have to take the gloves off. Something like, "Look, I am not qualified to play or coach football. That can be a tough game. If you asked me X or Y or Z, I'd have no idea, but I'd have the courtesy to say "I don't know." But I am qualified to be a Senator. My opponent is not. And worse, he refuses to say "I don't know" and instead speaks and removes all doubt that he is incapable of governing. Don't do this to America or Georgia. Don't do this to my opponent, who is ultimately a prop. Vote Warnock."
  2. Just listened to Beto on Pod Save America, which isn't going to win him votes obviously given it's his choir, but he opened up a bit on campaign strategy. I think he learned a lot of lessons from 2018, including as it relates to scheduling the personal appearances. He is going to be in the Valley a lot in early September then will be in some of the more urban areas where voter turnout has been low as well. I think he gets it. It was a real measured interview with no rah rah stuff.
  3. We did this in 2010 right after Xmas and saw Everton at West Ham (after getting drunk at The Boleyn and somehow avoiding getting beat up by skinhead hooligans), then did Bolton at Chelsea where Stu Holden was the best player on the field, but Chelsea snuck out a win (he’s such a big “what if”). Then went up to Glasgow to see Rangers Celtic at Ibrox. If you absolutely want to cram in a bunch of games and can fly out before Xmas, you can probably get two games on Boxing Day if you plan it right, then two or three more in that week as the EPL schedules a lot that week. Miserable time to be there weather and sunlight wise, though. If you do it later in the year and can time everything right you can get in some cup games (either domestic, Europa or UCL). I can’t remember how we bought tickets. It all seemed really dodgy at the time, but still paid off. I imagine it has gotten better now and is hopefully virtual. The really hard thing was getting a bunch together because so many people have a single ticket.
  4. I’m down. These guys and Union Berlin.
  5. Still can get Leeds top 6 for +2500

…. Also open to trying someone else up top for Urruti for a game or two. Not sure if Friday is right time.

So we’ve started this same group several games in a row now. Any chance it gets mixed up for LAFC? What do you do? Move Ring back and put Wolff in for Perreira and maybe Kolmanic for Lima and move Gallagher over? As much as Lima is not even a replacement level player in MLS he hasn’t been a disaster recently. Is the fucking DM we signed in offseason still hurt? Cause you could put him in for Perreira as well. 6 needs to sit a few games. The league has figured him out. He’s like a rookie batter that is seeing teams for the second time right now and hasn’t changed things up.

There was nothing available in Lexus club or north end. Nada.
  9. Not really. I knew folks like you pretty well. Definite Porter vibe.....
  10. I don't know what "common" means? I know there are trans kids at Conroe ISD schools. I know there are many same sex parents with kids in Conroe ISD schools. There were at least 3 gay teachers and coaches when I was in high school there in the '90s and I doubt that was some historical anomaly. Again, perhaps you mean whatever backwater rural part of Montgomery county you are in. But Montgomery County isn't remarkably dissimilar to any suburb in Texas and what Chad was describing is reality in all of those suburbs from The Woodlands to Lake Travis to Cibolo to Frisco. Edited to add: Just say it out loud. You fear the LGBTQ community. The question is, "why"?
  11. This isn't the slam dunk we think it is. Beto didn't destroy Cruz 4 years ago in the debates and I thought he would. And he was below average in the presidential debates. I think he has the potential to wipe the floor with Greg if he approaches it right. But he can't go at it the same way as the prior races.
  12. If by "here" you mean your tract of land and the ones next to it outside of Cut n Shoot, New Caney, or whatever "rural" part of Montgomery county you live in. Fine, you 10 folks have your Trump parties. If you mean that LGBTQ people aren't "common" (whatever that means) in Montgomery County? Then, yeah, it's bullshit.
  13. Montgomery County does check out. But I grew up there, too, and aggie08 is exactly right.
  14. I don't know how hard of work it was for him, but Trump showed up in the places he needed to to ramble on as he does, and Hilary didn't. I think that's the point. I agree Beto doesn't have much of a chance if history is any indication. But Abbott is Hilary in this simulation - complacent career politician candidate, with scandals and controversies (real this time), who doesn't get anyone excited. Complacent GOP voters expect him to win and don't show up to polls in same numbers as usual because what races in Texas matter anyway?
  15. That you think this is a serious problem and some kind of real targeted agenda by the gay/leftist elementary teachers of the world or even a common occurrence sis fucking idiocy. It's a made up problem to drum up voters to allow Desantis to implement replacement theory based legislation. Period.

Just locked in 2023 season tickets! Weren't great, but best available. Listos Verde!
  18. Liz Cheney this morning: “Donald Trump preys on people’s patriotism”. Translated: ”Stupid and racist people like Donald Trump.”
  19. After listening to Tim Miller's book, "Why We Did It" and what he said about Grahams blind hatred of Trump during the primaries, his bootlicking is even more weird and makes you wonder what Trump has. Or he's simply the opportunist shitbag most of these folks are.
  20. Actually, I think this one is.... (Edited: meaning who is pulling NSRC strings.)
  21. Beto needs to campaign some with Garza I think given how close Garza is to Paxton in polls and the fact they can harp on the fact that Paxton is under criminal investigation. Collier seems fine, but not sure how much he moves needle. You want people pulling the straight ballot lever this year, as much as it can fuck up local races, particularly judges. I'll take that hit this year to set a precedent at the statewide level. Is SoS not up for election this year? That troubles me as I imagine fuckery will be afoot if it's close.
