  1. Which brings me to my next point. I completely fucked up in my last post by saying add 1.5-2 oz bourbon. I almost exclusively use rye, specifically Templeton 4 year aged rye. It's a decent (to me) price under $30 and makes a damn delicious old fashioned. I rarely use it for anything other than mixing old fashioneds.
  2. My personal preference is to toss a sugar cube, bitters, and a maraschino cherry into the glass and muddle the sugar and bitters together (give the cherry a hit or two as well, but don't smash it to pieces). Then, add in your bourbon, 1.5-2 oz. Stir this until the sugar is almost all dissolved (it's OK if you get impatient). Then drop in an ice ball, or ice cubes I guess but the ball doesn't melt as fast so it doesn't water stuff down so much. Delicious.
  3. Intredasting. I may or may not be applying for a mortgage in the next week or so. This may or may not be relevant to my interests.
  4. I feel compelled to state for the record that this post is not referring to me.
  5. If they would put the green chile double on the menu I'd order that every time. They don't, so I settle for a combination of mushroom swiss with japs, #2 with cheese and japs, or avocado bacon double with japs. Always with onion rings.
  6. I was not involved.
  7. What's a pensu? I'm apparently not up to speed on current sex jargon.
  8. Thanks for the heads up. The stores I normally go to actually have some right now too, I was just saying in general it seems like it will disappear from shelves for a few months every once in a while. If you know where in Houston I can get some True Blue, on the other hand, I would love that information.
  9. All things scotch related. I'm a Glenmorangie man myself. Love their special editions, the last two (Bacalta and Spios) have been fantastic. If you want to discuss heavily peated scotches I'm not your man.
  10. Anyone else into Noah's Mill? I love the stuff, but it can get kind of hard to find at times. Very smooth and drinkable despite being 57% alcohol.
  11. I was NOT involved.
