    Bert!

Hell yes! Quinn cut the mullet after year 1. Bert needs to change his psyche too. Hook’em!!!
  2. Oregon looking like a deer in the headlights. Just don’t see a Duck comeback from this 31 point head start. Hook’em!!!
  3. OSU getting in the playoffs was new life for them after losing to Michigan. We all might regret that, as I think ND beats Georgia. Hook’em!!!
  4. QB is pretty damn good with his legs too. Props to ASU getting him in the portal with multiple years left to play. I’m a fan of Kenny D and what he’s building there. HC isn’t even 35 yet. Go Sparky for their future years in the B12. Hook’em!!!
  5. That’s how I was as a teen during the Sherrill era. HS Fng sucked in SETX! Hook’em!!!
  6. Especially mid-right upright or right hash! Hook’em!!!
  7. Surly is definitely being “Surly” on New Year’s Eve! I thought my only problem was getting my wife out of the house for our dinner reservation, which we’re already late for. Surly will be Surly and that’s why I’ve loved you bastards since I’ve found you on the internet! Hook’em!!!
  8. Really? Not blowing anyone, just saying that ASU is actually becoming relevant again. But you do you! I’m too old for Surly sarcasm. Hook’em!!!
  9. Although they’re losing, #38 for Baylor (Redding) is a grandson of really close family members. He only plays ST’s as a Freshman, but at least he’s on the field. Hook’em!!!
  10. Nothing like indoctrinating Katy kids while in Junior High. At least they’ll be prepared for Fish Camp, besides what Mom and Dad tell them. Hook’em!!!
  11. Leavitt was a huge transfer take by ASU and almost as crucial as Skat’s transfer two years ago for the 1st time HC. Kenny D has turned that program around, almost overnight. I think they won three games the previous season. Good for them, as I’ve always kind of liked that program. If you ever go watch MLB spring ball/golf buddy week, you can’t help but tour their campus/stadium at least half a day. Go Sparky, except for tomorrow! Hook’em!!!
  12. It’s amazing and I guess a sign of the times, where early enrollees are “eligible” to participate in bowl/playoff practices once on campus. From what I’ve heard, both Justus and Michael Terry are “starting” on the scout team for bowl prep, after being on campus less than 30 days. Hook’em!!!
  13. Breakfast was glorious this AM with both the dirt Burglers and aggy losing on the same day. Fng pig had to win or it’d have been the trifecta of hate going down. Hook’em!!!
  14. Still a chance, as in my pool I had GT beating Vandy. Hook’em!!! NM NM
  15. Joey ain’t The Pirate. Hook’em!!!
  16. Can sand aggy actually play defense vs pig? Damn man, early, but getting away from them. Hook’em!!!
  17. “Nebraska” - maybe that was why he was so “anti-Texas,” while in the B12? Hook’em!!!
  18. I’ve heard through the grapevine that he wasn’t held in high regard by his local Nebraska referee chapter. Just saying. Hook’em!!!
  19. Just glad KM won’t be in stripes for our future games this season. Hook’em!!!
  20. Memphis is a cool town, as long as you don’t leave the touristy areas. My company has a refinery there, so my semi-annual visit is usually for a fly in/out, sometimes a one night stay. Hook’em!!!
  21. No pig rooting in my house! Even though it’s Sand aggy, they’re at least from Texas, so they have that going for them. Hook’em!!!
  22. SA is “dangerous” for QBs. I remember when TCU came to town, they lost their starting QB on the River Walk (etc?). Down by a bazillion at the half, a 3rd string Hornfrog, thinking 2nd string guy got injured or was already injured, and the 3rd stringer led them to a remarkable comeback victory under Patterson. The Oregon lead was so large at HT, I begged my group/party to wait until TCU’s 2nd possession of the half to see what happens, plus the “eye candy” Frog “Spirit Girls” were directly an isle over and a couple rows down. Every TCU score pissed off the women in our group hoping for an early exit. What an amazing victory vs Oregon that game turned out to be. Hook’em!!!
  23. I still remember putting together a round trampoline in ‘03-04 on Christmas Eve. Very cold that week for SW Louisiana. Started before dusk with the wife occupying the 3 and 4 year olds. It wasn’t so bad, but the wife insisted on those trampoline safety poles/net, that kept the kiddos from flying off. That shit was a PITA, as dusk changed to dark and got even colder. I went to my golf bag and grabbed some wet weather gloves (pair), in order to still be able to hold nuts/bolts. Finished around midnight! When Hurricane Rita came through LC in 2005, it picked up my trampoline and crushed it into a ball about a 1/3 of the original size, as well as banging it on the house multiple times. It was anchored to the ground in four places, as well as the net opening tied off to some landscaping timbers. The damndest thing was I had a 12 x 20 workshop/shed, with a loft section, full of stuff, and just resting on concrete corners and cinder blocks less than 30’ away. The shed didn’t budge an inch, nor were one of the three windows broken! Hook’em!!!
  24. Merry Christmas to all of Surly! I’m a little early too, but my usual/annual ritual, once everyone has gone to bed, is the very last minute “Santa” stuff under the tree and in the stockings for me. Both of my kids are out of the house and college, while still single, but have decided to spend the night on Christmas Eve while they still can. My night/early morning is completed with some scotch or bourbon, while doing that, and watching at least one complete episode of the Christmas Story prior to going to bed. It’ll be a tradition that will be hard to break until one or both kids have families of their own, so we’ll be the guests. Merry Christmas to all and your families. Those with youngsters still under their roof, cherish those years, as man do they fly by fast! All my best wishes, Hook’em!!!
  25. My son and I have attended 13 in a row, starting with RG3 (Baylor), once we moved to SA. Many have been great games to include great comebacks. Griffin and Hunter will be two Heisman Trophy winners that will have played in the Alamo Bowl, so that brings extra excitement to the game. Usually it’s one of the most well “attended” non-NY6 games annually. The poster above is correct in that the Alamo Bowl committee will have free range going forward for invitees, not participating in the playoffs, so great match ups should continue. Hook’em!!!
