  1. I mean NOBODY roots for aggy outside of B/CS and greater Houston/SE Texas. That is their geographical sphere of influence. Their Fng brand doesn’t cross regional boundaries, unless a few aggy grads escaped. Hook’em!!!
  2. I was at that game and as a youth my Dad would purchase a pennant for every opponent Texas played so I could hang it in my room. This game’s opponent had “War Eagle” on it, so I asked my Dad why, as they were the Tigers? All he said that day was that it was a long story and just watch the game vs Bo Jackson! Hook’em!!!
  3. Damn dog made me hit submit! Anyways, I shot up that OJ doll from my tree fort with my first .22 rifle around ‘79. Damn I wish I still had that thing, as well as the Staubach doll to this day. Hook’em!!!
  4. I had an OJ “ football doll/toy” and a Staubach when I was a youth. Similar to a GI Joe sized doll/toy during the early’70s. Later on into my youth, I shot the OJ doll with
  5. I think this is the most excited that I’ve been for a Spring game in over a decade. Tools for both QBs to pass to, as well as the deep RB group have me excited. Can the Defense contain them? We’ll all see a small “image/picture” of the future next weekend. Hook’em!!!
  6. I lived in Lake Charles from the late ‘90s to ‘08. LSU fans galore there too. I never saw an “SEC” sticker on a vehicle in all my travels from there East to Florida for business/vacation. It wasn’t until aggy joined that the “SEC” emblem on a vehicle was created -IMO. Prior to them (aggy) most LSU fans I knew was - if it wasn’t “us” then F the rest. Local/surrounding conference mates’ success just might hurt future recruiting, regardless of the sport. Hook’em!!!
  7. I was stationed in S. Korea during the age of “Starter” jacket knockoffs - early ‘90s. Things haven’t changed! Wow man, “these are so much cheaper than stateside!” I had one that was white with burnt Orange/black trim from those days. Loved that knock-off jacket. Hook’em!!!
  8. Jordan Spieth just committed to play in next weeks Valero Texas Open. Very solid field this year. Other notable commitments: McIlroy, Conners (2x winner of VTO), Fitzpatrick, Fleetwood, Fowler, Harman, Homa, Morikawa, Ludwig Aberg, Matsuyama, and Adam Scott. Players have until 3/29 to commit. Hook’em!!!
  9. They all “sling it around”, so the move is definitely in question. Hook’em!!!
  10. They act they were used and abused for over decades. It truly baffles the mind. Hook’em!!!
  11. Only Fng aggy would have yell practice, in an empty arena for their cheer squad. Got to get those signals down before prime time! aggy at its finest! Hook’em!!!
  12. Only Fng aggy would have yell practice, in an empty arena for their cheer squad. Got to get those signals down before prime time! aggy at its finest! Hook’em!!!
  13. Try to tell aggy that playing them actually brings down our “strength of schedule” for the year, regardless of home or away. Hook’em!!!
  14. OOC conference games should always include a “premium” matchup of the Big Boys for a week, then the rest should be Texas’ “umbrella” schools (UT Family) and maybe sprinkle Rice in here or there IMO. Hook’em!!!
  15. Howard picked aggy to make the playoffs the year they went 5-7, I believe. Hook’em!!!
  16. That dude is not going to settle well on the aggy front, with the GB Museum on campus. Anti-Japanese based on Bush. I hope he tears them up! Hook’em!!!
  17. Bought those like two seasons ago, when first posted, and they look good. One thing is they have very thin soles (volleyball shoes (?)), but you’ll feel more stuff under foot than a regular shoe. Of course they are “Nike Narrow” too. Hook’em!!!
  18. Seriously - fly into Houston, not close to campus at all (1 1/2 to 2 hours drive from IAH). Hotel accommodations are not of the premium level. For one, expect the humidity level to be higher than a Northerner has experienced in August/early September. Dress in “light” clothing. Campus is actually providing things to see if you come in early, like the day before. The George Bush (Senior) Museum is just on the outskirts of the campus and is actually quite nice. If you haven’t ever experienced the “aggy cult,” you are forewarned. Pre-game they make it feel like you’re playing Army or Navy, but their tan clad students are mostly playing cos-play! So don’t step on the grass! Hook’em!!!
  19. I’m a Travis and I feel insulted by the name recognition. Hook’em!!!
  20. Loved hearing Lee Trevino’s stories/jokes growing up. I still think his best is after being on tour for a while and making decent money, he was mowing his suburban Dallas yard. It was “Dallas Hot” so he took off his shirt. A big caddy pulls up and stops, rolls the window down, and asks “Sonny how much do you charge?” Which he replies, “I don’t know, but the lady inside lets me sleep with her!” Window gets rolled up as fast as possible and car takes off! Lee Trevino at his finest! Hook’em!!!
  21. Yes - Nike before Nike. Nice work by a youngster though. In elementary school I wrote and drew/colored a book about Monday Night Football. In it I drew Dandy Don, Frank G, and Howard Cosell. Mom still has it. In the ‘70s my parents would let me watch the game through the highlight show during halftime, then off to bed! Hook’em!!!
  22. aggy will have them on their non-conference schedule within 3-5 years. Beating a “tu school” Whoop! Hook’em!!!
  23. I too do my best podcasts sitting on the terlet/office. Sometimes I sit and think and sometimes I just sit. Hook’em!!!
  24. Baby Copper Head? Definitely has the Orange going for it. Hook’em!!!
