  2. Looking online it looks like they go somewhere between 10-15k. If I could give my 88yo grandmother 10k I’m sure she’d be fine with that. Not really looking to make a profit on it.
  3. Ha, nah grandfather passed a few years ago, trying to sell it for my grandmother.
  4. Anyone have any advice other than RV trader and Craigslist?
  5. My goodness, I left out the word ‘combined’ when paraphrasing one of the links I posted, that makes you 100% correct and not just an asshole splitting hairs
  6. I don't remember. Maybe more club seats. I'm sure stache or Jeff will know. Either way, more to your original point, Oklahoma doesn’t show up until #10 in your stadium’s highest attendance (and Texas isn’t in there at all), but they are all from 2013-2015 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boone_Pickens_Stadium Baylor TCU Kansas West Virginia TCU Lamar (wtf did you guys give away free tickets lol) K State K State Baylor Oklahoma
  7. Serious question, why did they lower the capacity after 2016? 55,509 (2019–present)56,790 (2017–2018)60,218 (2009–2016)60,000 (2008)44,700 (2007)
  8. I know where Athens is but it’s is in fact in the greater Atlanta statistical metro area. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlanta_metropolitan_area
  9. Kennesaw State (just NW of Atlanta) is close to joining CUSA as it’s 10th member. This will be Georgia’s 5th FBS university (UGA, GT, GA St, GA Southern), and 4th in the Greater Atlanta Metropolitan Statistical Area (not GA Southern). https://footballscoop.com/news/kennesaw-state-reportedly-close-to-joining-conference-usa-conference-realignment Proposed New CUSA: New Mexico State UTEP Sam Houston State Louisiana Tech Middle Tennessee State Western Kentucky Jacksonville State (AL) Kennesaw State (GA) Florida International Liberty (VA) Tarleton, Stephen F Austin, Eastern Kentucky and McNeese (LA) have also been rumored as CUSA additions.
  10. Man, the yellow rose has gone downhill.
  11. This isn’t politics, it’s technology. If you want a full self drive without pedals and a steering wheel then great, but that’s not reality (or legal) yet. As manual operations are still around in EVERY street legal car in the US, if you step on the accelerator and drive towards something you will hit that something be be it child, tree, dog, or little old lady. Anyone who thinks this is somehow a valid argument against Elon/Tesla/self driving technology is an idiot.
  12. You’re in adaptive cruise with lane correction/assist. You hit the brake, the brakes engage and the car slows. You hit the accelerator, the car speeds up. You turn the wheel and the car turns (at best you feel a little resistance that you can override with more pressure). The argument here is that if you do full self drive and hit the accelerator that the car should NOT speed up. Tesla behaves the way other cars do, and that’s as designed. Elon has stupid takes (see his recent tweets), but people attacking Tesla’s self driving technology mostly have ulterior motives.
  13. I thought this was just a bit the players were doing for fun? Sone if you are saying people used to do this as a fund raiser? How did that work? Is it like a bachelor auction but you bid on a “slave” to clean your house and mow your yard?
  14. Ketchup is a condiment for children. The only scenario where I’d put it on a burger is if it was a well done shitty patty of meat with no other condiments available. maybe this belongs on the unpopular opinions thread
  15. What are you looking for? House/condo Whats the purpose? Just housing for the kid then selling, or long term investment? Are you going to renovate (Major/minor) or need turnkey? What do you consider close to campus? Walkable, bus route, or short drive? What’s a rough budget? $300k, 500, 750, 1mil? Could recommend many areas, Hyde Park, Far West, Riverside, Duval, Burnet, Domain, Mueller, East Austin, South Congress but depends a lot on your answers, especially budget. Housing in Austin is expensive, students generally lives in the least expensive areas with young professionals and service workers. If you want to be surrounded by students West Campus is the answer but good luck finding anything reasonable in that area. and yes you’d get more traction asking this in the mortgage/real estate thread over in the 6th street forum.
  16. That “bedroom” in the middle of the “house” can’t legally be considered a bedroom since there is no exterior egress and yes that architect should be put out to pasture
  17. Yeah was going to drop by but everyone else wanted to watch Nelly.
  18. I’m confused by these responses. Do you want to be locked out of controlling your car when automated driving is on? Disconnecting the steering wheel, accelerator and break pedal from their normal operations seems like it would entail significantly more cost and headache to the end user as well both operationally and for maintenance (can you image driving down the road and turning off self driving and the brake system not being able to reengage?). All in all the user override seems like it’s working as intended/designed and haters are just trying to hate because Elon says stupid thing they don’t agree with. The robot is just dumb.
  19. They have land they could repurpose right near the basketball pavilion. It COULD be done, but I doubt it ever happens.
  20. Yep, going to be one of those gif/jif octopuses/octopi things where it’s now considered correct simply because the masses have used it incorrectly so long that it becomes normalized.
  21. Fonzie waterskiing in a leather jacket and jumping over a shark has become widely used in US vernacular about television series, but it’s very commonly used incorrectly. “Jumping the shark” equals a moment/episode so awesome nothing the show can do will ever top it. The way most people use “jumping the shark” is implying that it the Fonzie waterskiing was a collective eye roll/groan moment from the American public where most people saw it and said this is stupid and stopped watching Happy Days, when in fact jumping the shark was the absolute peak of the show and Fonzie’s coolness. Shows that are never that great shouldn’t be said to have jumped the shark. Limited series or shows that go off air at the peak of their popularity (like Seinfeld) also never jump the shark. The best example currently is (although not a TV show) likely the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Phase 3 ended with Avengers Endgame (and Spider-Man Far From Home). Endgame was so popular and the build up and payoff (despite what the resident critics here think) was so satisfying to the public that almost everything in Phase 4 that has come after has been a disappointment outside of Spider-Man No Way Home (which is really a culmination of the 8 previous Sony Spider-Man movies despite Dr Strange’s involvement). If Marvel never figures out how to put together another worldwide, universally acclaimed ensemble movie like Endgame ever again then that would be their jumping the shark, not Thor 4, She Hulk, or the Eternals.
