  1. I don’t normally post politics on FB, but I posted a link to the story from The Hill so my Trumpist acquaintances would have to at least skim over the headline.
  2. Then she better hurry up and find a new sugar daddy.
  3. She'll be shopping while he is on life support. The family tradition is golf, but I don't think she plays the game.
  4. Hopefully Trump is wanting to finalize his exit strategy. Better yet, maybe it is his exit strategy.
  5. Now we know which inspector general will be fired next.
  6. I was in an on-line conversation with a “devout” Christian. She literally typed “I don’t care about poor people.” I thanked her for letting me know where she stood on the issue.
  7. Well, if it doesn't exist, then it doesn't exist. I've bought enough Texas vodka to say I that I've tried to support liquor production in the Lone Star State even without buying any bourbon.
  8. I want to find a Texas bourbon to mix Manhattans and sours...trying to get some Texas product on my shelf. Lots of choices at Total wine but no help from the store associate. Suggestions?
  9. Blah blah...poorly run Democrat cities...blah blah...Antifah...blah blah...I'm super terrific...blah blah...hoax....blah blah...did I tell you I'm tremendously terrific?...blah blah...mail-in ballots are bad...blah blah...law & order...blah blah...seriously, I'm super-duper tremendously terrific...blah blah...veterans...blah blah...MAGA!
  10. I made it a whole 5 minutes into the press conference before turning it off.
  11. I guess counselors can meet with students outside. Nurses need to be packing full PPE, and it would be best to move the school clinic to an outside portable.
  12. If the elections are delayed, would that not give the Democrats the Senate on January 3rd? The Democrats would have a 33 to 30 majority.
  13. Closely related is “I’m not going to do your research for you” or “Do your own research.”
  14. It was a poll, not any kind of study. 37% responded that they thought HCQ was the most effective treatment When I pointed out to someone on our local FB group that meant that 63% of those that responded did not think it was the most effective treatment, he blew a gasket and accused me of twisted logic.
  15. I believe the doctor speaking is an ant-Baxter from Colorado. Her message has come up before on social media. I looked up her credentials at the time, but couldn’t find her name this morning.
  16. Future historians are going to find a black hole of information on this administration. “We can’t be sure because the Trump administration kept few records, but we can speculate that...”
  17. When I use the term conservative, I'm thinking conservative thinker, not Conservative as in George Will. Part of conservative thinking is placing the health of the hive over the health of individual bees. And there is nothing wrong with that, just as there is nothing wrong with liberal thought that prioritizes the opposite. The problem we have in this country is the breakdown of communication between the two sides, which is a tragedy because a healthy and prospering society needs to find a balance between both.
  18. I think some Americans appear to be racist when, for the most part, they are just scared shitless of a change in the status quo.
  19. Political power always passes on to something new; Oppressors attempt to delay that transition. Sounds familiar, doesn’t it.
  20. It’s the nature of the conservative mind, the same mind that lives in fear of a white-minority U.S.
  21. He cares not for reality, only for perceptions he can control.
  22. Schools will have to forge ahead regardless of COVID spread within their walls. Imagine individual schools shutting down for cleaning every time there is an outbreak. Few people in educational administration think through things to their logical conclusion, and this is no exception.
  23. It’s logical that it would be dependent upon the company or division within the company. Employees with routine schedules and deadlines can complete those anywhere. I can see where a job in development would require more direct collaboration and supervision. My BIL, who works in IT, hasn’t had a physical office in over a decade. I don’t see companies completely giving up central space, but that space can become smaller and more flexible.
  24. I think this is a pretty sound prediction:
  25. I do love being a substitute because I like being around the kids, but $110 a day does not make it worth taking on the added risk of exposure, especially when I don't have to financially.
