  4. Less self aware than aggies. Let that sink in.
  5. I see the DT snowflakes got their delicate feefees hurt again. It must suck going through life getting offended by everything.

  7. That’s the thing. It shouldn’t be a political press conference. It should be a press conference to provide information to the public during a mass casualty event.

  15. Thanks for taking one for the team. I can’t watch these assholes without becoming angry. I appreciate you posting the updates.
  16. The cabins in the picture he posted did not flood. They stayed dry. It’s a very misleading post.
  17. How’s your son doing this morning?
  18. Well, for one, that’s not the camp that flooded. Two, your point was “look how close those cabins are to the dam” and the body of water in your picture is not the Guadalupe River. Three, the Cypress Lake camp did not flood. It’s where they evacuated everyone to because it remained safe.
  19. Hearing firsthand from a friend last night who had boys in the rafters of their cabin at La Junta did it for me. I told her to tell the boys that they’re heroes in my book for being brave and watching out for each other.
  20. My wife and I just got home from a long walk with our dog and, of course, this tragedy was our main topic of conversation. One of the things we talked about was human nature’s desire to immediately assign blame in times of tragedy. We see it here on this thread. I’ve been really emotional about this event for a variety of reasons and I’ve been trying very hard to not immediately jump into the blame game. My thought is that there will be plenty of time for investigations, post mortems and so forth later. Right now, I’m trying to keep my mind on the victims and their families. All of that said, I just hope that something good comes from this. I hope it’s not another Uvalde where children’s lives are lost in vain.
