  1. And now we see why that other Admiral that was previously in charge of this shit show resigned. He knew what was coming down the pike and said, yeah, I'm not committing war crimes for you just so you can lay it all at my feet later. Obviously Bradley was too fucking stupid to take a hint.
  2. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States–Taliban_deal Negotiated for the U.S. by Zalmay Khalilzad for the first Trump administration, the negotiations for the agreement did not involve the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the Afghan government at the time.[4] The deal, which also had secret annexes, was one of the critical events that caused the collapse of the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF). Insurgent attacks against the Afghan security forces surged in the aftermath of the deal, however, with thousands killed. Regardless, withdrawals per the agreement continued. By January 2021, just 2,500 U.S. troops remained in the country, and NATO forces fully evacuated by the end of that summer. The U.S. completed its full evacuation on August 30, 2021, as the Taliban took control of the country by force. Trump, the ultimate deal master, gave the Taliban everything while not involving any of the Afghan folks who weren't Taliban that we'd been working with for years. The Taliban then, of course, waltz in, killed a bunch of people, and took over everything. However, in the aftermath of the agreement, the U.S. stopped supporting the Afghan military in its offensive operations, forcing it to take mostly defensive positions around the country. According to the agreement, U.S. military aircraft could not attack Taliban groups waiting more than 500 meters away, giving the Taliban an edge in targeting Afghan military units.[citation needed] The agreement also exacerbated the decline in morale of the Afghan army and police, making them more open to accepting bargains with the Taliban. Due to a lack of information and secret annexes in the agreement, that had not been shared even with the then Afghan government, the Taliban were able to spread propaganda and disinformation about the agreement, including convincing local police and military units that the U.S. had handed over territories to the Taliban and that they should abandon their positions.[51] In the 45 days after the agreement (between March 1 and April 15, 2020), the Taliban conducted more than 4,500 attacks in Afghanistan, an increase of more than 70% compared to the same period in the previous year. So basically, Trump completely abandoned our allies in Afghanistan like this shooter. He allowed the Taliban to go hog wild and kept American forces from fighting back. He pulled the large majority of our forces out which essentially handed the entire country over to the Taliban. The Taliban kills swathes of Afghan military forces and people from the government while we sit and twiddle our fingers. Those guys, predictably, then say fuck this shit and bail or start switching sides. Then Biden got stuck with the mess. By the time Biden took office there were hardly any American troops left, the Afghan forces were in complete disarray, and the damage had already been done. At that point there was nothing to do except pull the few remaining troops out and leave all the equipment Trump didn't bother to tell the Pentagon to remove beforehand. So the Taliban got to keep a bunch of the equipment we abandoned. Which is where you get videos like this: Art of the Deal, baby! We get nothing and our enemies get everything! Oh, and the poor, stupid idiots that thought we were actually going to have their backs and who believed our bullshit got ruthlessly murdered. Ah well, thems the breaks!
  3. Bijan on the Falcons: 23 for 142 and 1 TD rushing; 5 for 51 receiving......still lost to the Jets
  4. Falcons are the worst team in the NFL on 3rd down. Guess who they never give the ball to on 3rd down? Last drive when they absolutely needed to at least gain field position to keep the Jets from driving to kick a FG they throw the ball three times. None to Bijan. Three drops. LMAO.
  5. Doesn't basically every Auburn play look like that?
  6. This drive was dead and buried back at midfield until the refs put their thumb on the scale. Now Bama is up by a TD.
  7. The fix is in!
  8. Does anyone actually think otherwise? Indiana is gonna get their shit pushed in just like they did last year and then still waltz into the Playoff having played no one of note all year except Oregon. Then they'll get killed in the Playoff and we'll all pretend this is a great system that totally puts the most deserving teams in.
  9. Didn't we send like double digit guys into the NFL last year? And the year before that, too. Quinn had two of the most loaded rosters the Longhorns have ever seen and he managed to come up short twice. There's a reason he was basically drafted as an afterthought in the 7th round.
  10. I've been watching CFB almost my entire life and it's still the same bullshit. There aren't any real "rules" and they always find a way to have some star chamber bullshit, which leads to endless arguments and stupidity. Way back in the day it was dumbass sports writers that decided who was the Nat'l Champ. Then it was the BCS which used inscrutable computer algorithms combined with dumbass AP voters and coaches' votes. And now it's a committee that makes decisions while having some arbitrary rules like conference champs get in, G5 gets a spot, etc. Make divisions in these conferences. Make the teams play everyone in their division each year just like the NFL. You win your division you get in. Cut back on nonsense OOC games if that's what it takes to have time for a longer playoff. This is why the NFL has become as popular as it is. It's basically completely fair across the board. Every team gets the same salary cap. Every team gets the same amount of draft picks. Every team has to play the teams in their division. The sorry ass NFC South will send some team with 8-10 wins to the playoffs, while teams with more wins in other divisions will get left out. But the rules are the rules, everyone knows they're the rules, and so no one complains about it. But nah, that's all too smart for CFB. Instead of a logical system we have teams literally playing no one of note all year, still finding a way to drop a game or two, and then going "TA-DAH!" we get in because we haven't lost 3 times! We have to argue about SOS, SOR, ranked wins, bad losses, and whatever else because it's all a clown show.
  11. Eh, I just think it's do you have the ball or not as the ball passes the goal line? If one iota of the ball touches the goal line it's a TD. So if you actually fumble the ball before reaching the goal line and then it crosses over, cool. But you need to seriously lose possession, particularly from a defender making you lose possession, before you touch the line. This dude has the ball, touches the line, crosses it, never loses the ball. That's why it's fine to punish guys who drop the ball celebrating. They haven't touched the line and they've completely surrendered possession of the ball. As far as a true fumble that goes out of bounds in the endzone, a touchback has always seemed a bit harsh.
  12. Pretty dumb rule anyway. It's one thing if you drop the damn ball before you reach the goal line. But you're running with it, bobble it as you cross, and that becomes a touchback? Nah.
  13. How right you were.
  14. Damn. Cooked those DBs.
