  1. Hawkins, Zurbrugg, Booty, with Hawkins being the likely second guy up. Agreed. I think Gabriel is absolutely the higher-floor choice and if they thought the pieces were there for a playoff appearance (Veteran OL, high-prod receivers, hyper disruptive DEs), then you maybe entertain Gabriel for his last year at the expense of Arnold. Given how things are in actuality, you have to trade one good year of Gabriel for potentially 2-3 high-ceiling years of Arnold developing alongside some of the young talent that's there.
  2. The hope was that Gabriel would be an undeniable NFL selection, and so would slide gracefully on to greener pastures.
  3. Guess there was an agreement reached.
  4. I've done a chuck roast before, basically treat it like burnt ends. It'll tear apart if you're not careful, but it's delicious.
  5. I'd say it's debatable. Definitely for bodies, but he wasn't ever pushing to contribute and hadn't been spoken of highly by those reporting on practices. He tried to transfer out in the middle of the season, I believe.
  6. It's very possible, but so far it's just one guy who appeared to be in a great position and decided to leave. By all accounts, it was the family pulling strings. If we see more this year, or a continuation into next year, I'll absolutely call it a systemic issue. The larger issue might be that Bedenbaugh has struggled to recruit top-end talent to insulate against this sort of risk. They need to get him a ride-along coach for his visits or something.
  7. I mean... There's a reason I don't do it anymore, but it's not because it tasted bad.
  8. If you dip the fries in it, it's even better.
  9. I wear these. Get mistaken for the Hey Dude things all the time, but whatever. Bought a pair at the beach a few years ago and I've bought two other pair since then.
  10. Either Missouri or Oklahoma, based on comments from his "advisor" in the process. Probably Missouri, unless this dude reached out to BV directly before entering the portal.
  11. I think Jones and Valai (if you don't count Wells as an analyst) are the only ones without ties to one or the other. People in the building seem really high on JJF, and I hope that's true because best case scenario, Littrell is here for two years and gets poached for a HC job somewhere.
  12. Half the room was hurt, also, so no chance to get the freshmen any snaps to see how they worked out.
  13. Agreed. Love Bedenbaugh as a coach and developer, but something has to change with the ability to land and retain top-level OL. If he can have a partner on staff that can act as support for him, that's the best of both worlds. I had hopes that Murray might be that guy since RB recruiting is historically a smaller pool and can be locked up early.
  14. Bass is more of an Athlete pick, if I'm understanding his recruitment. I think it was a panic response to the Texas game from last year when it became glaringly obvious there were zero QBs on the roster that could do the job at even a replacement level. The Ezukanma thing reads like a guy who was on the bubble and could possibly follow Lebby to secure a spot. No actual knowledge, though.
  15. Having to exit, go through the draconian security that takes forever, waste two hours, and then return to my gate that was two down from my arrival gate? Yeah, that's Frankfurt to me. Plus, I always enjoy explaining in GermEnglish why a Kindle isn't a laptop, but isn't a phone.
  16. I'm keeping the carcass from my family's thanksgiving, and making a turkey of my own when I get back into town. The first friends gettogether after Thanksgiving always means gumbo.
  17. For the mention above of making steak sandwiches, I found that mixing leftover jus into mayo makes a hell of a spread on one.
  18. Wait, is Bozo in play? This is the first I'm hearing of this, and that could be B.A.D. for the rest of the SEC if that deal gets done...

    9-1

https://bball.notnothing.net/big12.php?sport=fb This lets you calculate what should happen based on game results, and weirdly enough, if Cincinnati beats Kansas the last week of the season, then it ends up being OU/Texas due to the difference in the Iowa State and Kansas results.
  20. I feel the same about OU's year. Team is much improved over last year in some really key areas, got to beat Texas in a wild one. Sucks to lose to OSU and hope that things shake out to play in the BigXII game somehow, but I can't be mad after last year's shitshow.
  21. ACL. Left.
  22. When I tore mine, I had help but walked off. This was indoor soccer, and none of us idiots knew what to do, so I just iced it and drove myself home after the game.
  23. The similarities between OU post-Texas and OSU post-Oklahoma are currently upsetting me.
  24. Oh I fully agree in dishes where it's providing a specific note that the thing needs. I've got a bottle I use, I just don't make those at home enough.
  25. They always say "you'll never taste it"...have they tasted fish sauce? Even a little bit is intense.
