  1. Watch it - it’s fantastic. It’s shocking how unbelievably naive people are, and how crazy this story is. Almost as infuriating to me as Dear Zachary (but not quite). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  2. Abducted in Plain Sight. How is this not getting more publicity? If I saw a movie with this plot I would turn it off because of how ridiculous it is. Check it out - I need someone to tell me if it was as unbelievable as I thought it was. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  3. Found this great article about 1992 - Longview, Laneville, Troup all won state that year. I played against Laneville and Troup that year. Leneville Beat is by 80-90 points lol. 4. Ed Jasper - 1992 Troup Tigers won it all, my buddy was the point guard. This friend of mine is the brother in law of Pat Mahomes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  5. East Texas in the early 90s. Played Laneville, Teneha, Troup, this list is long. The level of competition was insane. Playing 1A- 2A schools with 2-3 guys over 6-5 (a couple over 7’0) and could jump through the roof was crazy. With social media and the attention real talent can get these days no matter where it is - a lot of those guys would have D1 rides and some significant careers. The ability to read and write would have been a plus (in many cases). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  6. Anyone watched “You” yet? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  7. I’m sure I will catch shit for this but I am just finding out about Ja’Quinden Jackson. I saw the Duncanville - Allen highlights and was blown away at his speed. Do some research and he is a Horn commit and is getting huge buzz nationally. This kid is sick. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  8. Wasn't my point but funny.
  9. How is Tyler Johnson not a 5 star? .9815 composite. I know it’s just details but damn that’s close. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  10. Cain says he woke up thinking Texas. “To be honest, I was a Texas lean this morning. I was telling my parents, Texas, Texas, Texas,” Cain said. “But I prayed, and it was a hard night just going back on Penn State or Texas. Those were the two final schools that were here with me until this day. They stayed with me consistently. Honestly it came down to where would I be the most focused at and not around distractions. Everybody knows Austin is a big city but I have to be focused through and out. I’m a business dude, I gotta handle my business. And just be different. It might not be the most popular decision, but it is the best decision for myself.” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  11. Not sure I’ve ever been more “in”. I hope it’s half as good as it could be. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  12. I agree with this. I got in early not expecting anything and over the course of two seasons it grew on me to the point now it’s my family’s favorite show. The character development is as good as it gets imo. In my house we have the TV on in the background pretty much all the time - just comfort noise. Shows go back and forth between The Office, Bob’s Burgers, Schitt’s Creek. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  13. We would have lost so much pop culture if Pacino hadn’t played Scarface. Or maybe we would have gained a better film? I don’t know - just seems like he is Scarface in my eyes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. They should release 2 versions. Why has no studio done this? PG-13 for the mass audience, R for the rest of us. I’m sure there is a reason. I guess it depends if they shot the gory scenes and cut them vs not shooting them at all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Subtitles. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Just watched all episodes a 2nd time. In the first episode (i think) when Amma is showing her the doll house the framed pictures in the dollhouse says “girl” the first time and then it’s gone. I’m sure there is a ton of stuff I’m missing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I wish I would have gone Saturday night - they played more of our favorite songs including “I wish i was” which Is my gf’s absolute favorite. I might consider doing all 3 nights next year. Does anyone know if there is a cool place to stay that’s closer so you don’t have to go back and forth to Denver? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Avett Brothers at Red Rocks ranks near the top all time for me. Simply incredible, words don’t do it justice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Far exceeded all expectations. I was trying to explain it to a friend and I could come up with was “more spiritual than any church I’ve been in.” The venue is beautiful and I love the Avett Brothers. Didn’t hurt that we were 2nd row center. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Avett Brothers at Red Rocks tomorrow night. 2nd row, center. Can’t wait Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. My gf and I are headed to Red Rocks this Friday night to see The Avett Brothers, neither of us have been. We somehow got 2nd row center tickets and I’m not sure I’ve been this excited for a concert. We are staying Downtown and are looking to take a shuttle. Anyone have experience with any of the shuttle companies? Any other suggestions? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. So much this. Damn I hate myself for forgetting this. My favorite scene is the diner - that old lady waitress is so accurate to what you might run across if you are in the O&G industry out there or just live in a small town. “I’ve been workin here 44 years, ain’t nobody ever ordered nuthin but the T-bone steak and a baked potato, except for one asshole from New York that ordered the trout back in 1987”. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Yeah - the FBI office was in Dallas. Also - to me The Thin Blue Line set the foundation for true crime docs and it’s in Dallas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I thought Frailty was supposed to be set somewhere north of Abilene, not sure where it was filmed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Would be cool if someone updated the list. I was going to add Legend of Boggy Creek, Charlie Wilson’s War, Thin Blue Line, Place’s in the Heart (I dated Possum in college, no shit. She was also young Holly Hunter in Broadcast News), The Tree of Life, those Tarantino movies filmed in Austin - Planet Terror, etc,, A Perfect World, Secondhand Lions.
