  1. More like a Disqualifying session, amirite?
  2. They did not. Once the early regulations were mostly rubber stamped in 2010 for the inline 4s, they built a 4 cylinder mule, but then had to dump it (I actually think some of this tech went into the M133/M139 road car engines) when the FIA finalized the change to the V6 hybrid (at mostly Ferrari’s behest) in June 2011, which also pushed the new regs to debut in 2014. Merc then had an early V6 mule running by December 2011.
  3. Yeah he did acknowledge his dominant car run as well in the entire quote. To be somewhat fair to him, he has always said he wanted closer competition during those years. I am relatively sure Max has even said the same thing at some point already, too. These guys are all super competitive and wanna race each other, they just gotta be diplomatic and politicky sometimes.
  4. Got here about noon, stuff was running out quickly once I got closer, but still had brisket. Brisket is elite, but does need more pepper. The “cheesy brat” isn’t a brat but was dang good sausage with cheese in it. Overall, really damn good.
  5. Anyone know how long the wait at Dayne’s typically is?
  6. I love scanning old Kodachromes. Bringing old photos back to life is pretty neat. Some examples.
  7. Nice, that should work pretty well, especially being adjustable.
  8. Yeah, that’s likely too (the light source). My current light has three temps of light which makes it easy to get a better base. I dunno the light temps, but it says this. The Cool Light mode reduces the orange mask that is present in color negative film like CineStill 800T, 400D, and 50D, providing color balanced scans with better color separation and less noise. The White Light mode is ideal for scanning black and white film, as well as slide film that has been processed with the warm-tone dilution of the CineStill D9 DynamicChrome 1st Developer. Lastly, the Warm Light mode is perfect for scanning standard E6 (or CineStill D6 DaylightChrome) processed slide film, as the tungsten-balanced light can produce richer tones and enhanced color separation, especially within the red channel. When scanning Kodachrome slides, I find the “White Light” mode is best.
  9. Big reason I invested in a DSLR setup, even though it costs much more than a decent flat bed scanner or a PlusTek, is because it’s just a million times faster. Dust can be a problem, yes, but it’s still just blazing compared to other methods.
  10. I use a plug-in with Lightroom (negative lab pro) which makes it incredibly easy, but you can start with just inverting the black and white points. It will of course make adjustments backwards, though.
  11. I use my 5DIV with a 100mm 2.8 Canon macro lens on a tripod with ballhead and a macro rail to do the actual scanning. This is the actual entire kit I have. https://cinestillfilm.com/products/valoi360-complete-bundle-for-camera-scanning
  12. I do. If you wanna do it super cheap you can use this just on top of a light source by itself. It’s expensive for what it is but makes it easy. I have the entire Valoi 360 setup which has been pricey but pretty great. https://cinestillfilm.com/products/valoi360-120-film-holder I also have this which I don’t use anymore after getting the Valoi. It’s okay but the film holders are not nearly as good (for slides it’s awesome though). https://cinestillfilm.com/products/sunray-copybox-ii-scanning-film-workflow-set
  13. Most, if not all drivers feel this way.
  14. Well, the Lexus GX has always been a rebadged Toyota (Land Cruiser Prado), so we are getting pretty meta here. But the Prado is a BoF chassis (FJ Cruiser is also built on it). All that said, it’ll just be on TNGA-F like every other new Toyota.

    Vinyl

Hell yeah. I have: A G+ ish 2 sided Monarch A VG ish 2 sided Presswell A VG+ ish RL/LH Terre Haute. And really the LH sides are still RLs, they just don’t say RL, so they can be had for cheaper (until recently, but still cheaper than a true double RL). Also previously had 3 beater copies (1 double sided Monarch and 2 RL/LH Terre Haute) that I found in the wild, but sold. The first Japanese press actually rips pretty hard, too. Not like an RL, but damn good.

Sick. Which pressing plant is your RL?
  17. I use my AirPods Pro 2 for work every day and they’re awesome.
  18. It’s Jabroc. https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/productselection.asp?Product=6180
  19. Where’s the money, Lebowski!
  20. Also, I believe that FOM is running the cameras this year (Monaco was always the only circuit to do TV operations themselves).
  21. Also +1 for ARB. My FJ has one. It’s one of the few that actually goes thru crash testing.
