  1. I tried to break it:
  2. Cool, so when MLB expands to Austin, the team will be in the same division as the Astros and Rangers! That's not going to happen.
  3. Best part of the Robles thing is that he swung at the pitch.
  4. This movie is so damn good:
  5. Alonso is a complete brick.
  6. We peaked at #7 in his power rankings last season, so we must be REALLY good this year!
  7. Ladies and gents, it's Christmas morning!
  8. Rollercoaster well ahead of schedule...
  9. I was impressed that he immediately ran to back up 3rd.
  10. I'd bet a lot of money that there will eventually be lots of excuses.
  11. That was at the Broncos' stadium.
  12. LSU bailed on that in the 90s. aggy was actually good back then and beat LSU 5 times in a row, mainly because LSU was coached by Curley Hallman. They had two more years on the contract and LSU cancelled, using the We-Need-All-NC-Games-at-Home-for-Financial-Reasons excuse. aggy threatened to sue, but LSU fired Hallman and got a lot better pretty quickly, and then offered to restart the series, but aggy said no. Edit: Just found this... This is from GBH, but the answer is provided by an LSU blogger:
  13. You'd also need to find another John Tudor for that.
  14. I was there. The Rocks started their backup catcher at designated "hitter" (sic). He now has a .239 OBP.
  15. If read that guys have estimated that the "break-even" success rate is 75%, but that's just dumb because that amalgamates a thousand different game situations. There are plenty of game situations where I'm sure a 60% success rate would break even. I was watching a game the other day where a team REALLY needed to advance a base runner, and the defensive team was playing a catcher who had been in the minors most of the season and was 0-11 against SB attempts. The pitcher never even threw over to 1B and the inning ended quickly. I'm also frequently amazed that there seem to be 2-3 guys in the Astros thread who are always calling for sac bunts to advance the runner. This situation is starting to really annoy me.
