  1. Update on Jackson. The police released the redacted police report details and needless to say, it's not looking good for our boy. Barstool Sports has a fairly entertaining article that is worth a read. Few key points below: After the alleged assault, Jackson returned to the restaurant to tell the woman he had just assaulted how he could help grow her business through his social following! You know, normal stuff. I also like the fact that he told an employee that when Jackson is in a room (of the restaurant!), the employee should not enter. He said this AFTER shoving the employee twice. It's good Jackson doesn't feel entitled in any way. Apparently, someone informed our girl, Brittany Mahomes, that telling people who condemned Jackson's alleged sexual violence against the restaurant owner that they should "shut up" MAYBE isn't the most positive, helpful message these days. She has now come out with a cryptic Insta post that apparently condemns Jackson while patting herself on the back yet again. Is she really the best partner Patrick can find? “As you get older you start to understand the difference between friends and associates, family and blood, business and work, love and lust, want and need. And most of all what’s important and what’s not,” the Chiefs QB’s wife posted on her Instagram story Monday before later taking it down. She shared a second that read, “Unfortunately, a lot of y’all met me when I lacked boundaries and was a people pleaser. Let me reintroduce myself, I burn bridges as needed.” Here are details from the police report: On Monday, Johnson County District Judge Thomas Sunderland ordered the release of a redacted copy of the police affidavit, which states Jackson “grabbed [Aspen Vaughn] by the throat, forcing her head back and kissed her and put his tongue in her mouth” three times without her consent and then told her not to tell anyone, according to a separate report from the Kansas City Star. Vaughn, 40, who is the owner of the Aspens Restaurant and Lounge … told police that Jackson told her he needed to speak with her in the office, located in the lower level of the restaurant — and that he closed the door once they were inside. “He then grabbed her by the throat, forcing her head back and kissed her and put his tongue in her mouth,” the affidavit states — alleging that Jackson repeated the act two more times seconds apart. … When Jackson left the office, Vaughn showed two servers — whom she claimed did not hear her when she called out for help — her neck, which had fresh signs of injury, according to the affidavit. Both employees confirmed that account to police. … At one point, Jackson returned to the office trying to explain “what he could do for her business,” according to the affidavit, which noted Jackson has a large social media following. Jackson was reportedly angry when he and his group of friends were eventually told to leave the restaurant. Additionally in the redacted affidavit, the waiter, who chose not to be identified, spoke with police on the night of the incident and said he had gone to the office on the lower level of the restaurant to retrieve his water bottle. The waiter entered the code and was barely through the door when Jackson allegedly pushed his chest and told him not to come in, according to the affidavit — which states the waiter then told Jackson he was an employee and needed his water bottle. That’s when Jackson allegedly pushed the waiter a second time and told him to get out. Jackson later attempted to apologize, but told the waiter that he should not have to tell him twice to leave a room and that if he’s in a room in the restaurant, it is off limits.
  2. With all due respect, if that young lady on the left can make the cut, how hard can this really be?

  4. I had ChatGPT crank this out. I asked it to rewrite the lyrics of "Yesterday" to describe how Aggy feels about Texas joining the SEC. (Verse 1) Yesterday, all our dreams were bright, Aggie pride would shine, oh what a sight, Now it seems those days are far away, Oh, I long for that time before Texas came to play. (Chorus) Oh, yesterday, SEC was ours to claim, But now we're lost in the shadow of their fame, Oh, yesterday, Texas A&M's joy fades away, We were happy, oh so happy yesterday. (Verse 2) Suddenly, they joined the conference elite, Bringing rivalry that stings and depletes, Our sacred traditions torn apart, A piece of our spirit, forever marked by this start. (Chorus) Oh, yesterday, SEC was ours to claim, But now we're lost in the shadow of their fame, Oh, yesterday, Texas A&M's joy fades away, We were happy, oh so happy yesterday. (Bridge) Why did they have to come and change it all? Our cherished memories now seem so small, We had a bond, a family so strong, But now it's broken, and the pain lasts so long. (Verse 3) So many battles fought with passion true, But now the glory is divided in two, Oh, I yearn for the time when we stood tall, Without this bitter rivalry that now enthralls. (Chorus) Oh, yesterday, SEC was ours to claim, But now we're lost in the shadow of their fame, Oh, yesterday, Texas A&M's joy fades away, We were happy, oh so happy yesterday. (Outro) Oh, yesterday, Our spirit's been cast astray, The wounds remain, they won't fade away, Oh, yesterday, Texas A&M longs for that yesterday.

  7. I don't follow the NFL much anymore, especially not the Falcons so I have no idea what they needed most. Every pick in the draft is a gamble tbh, even Bryce Young isn't guaranteed to take his new team to the promised land. Very true. I wonder how many players could have been hall-of-fame but got their careers ruined by being in the wrong system on bad teams, and how many average players ended having great careers because they lucked into the right system.
  8. Drafting Bijan is like getting an excellent between the tackles tailback and good slot receiver all in one. Not really a bad value for the 8th pick in the first round. He most definitely wouldn't have still been on the board for the Falcons in round 2, so if they really wanted him it had to be first round. What's curious is their running game was one of the few things Atlanta already did really well. They needed a game-changer at QB and really needed defensive help. Time will tell I suppose.
  9. For those of you who don't like mattbegreat, Mikeophrone makes terrific videos about pro football. His take on Jackson and Brittany is really funny and on-point.
  10. In other news, Patrick Mahome's brother Jackson was just unfairly arrested for sexual assault charges. Despite Jackson's multiple assaults being clearly caught on camera and witnessed by employees, his lawyer said that it didn't happen, and this reassured people who now know not to trust their own eyes. The so-called victim said the following: “He forcibly kissed me out of nowhere,” Vaughn said, “and I’m telling him, pushing him off saying ‘what are you doing?’ and then he proceeded to do it two more times where the last time I was pushing him off and I can see on the cameras that somebody was outside the office door and I was yelling for them to come help because he’s big and massive.” Jackson was released on $100K bond and we pray that these unjust charges aren't affecting his mental health. Patrick's wife, (and everyone's favorite person) Brittany Mahomes, said the following about Jackson's haters, and this certainly isn't tone-deaf in any way. "They are ignorant," Brittany, who is married to NFL star Patrick Mahomes, wrote in response. "He is a human just trying to live his life and find his way and until you walk a day in his shoes (which no one ever will) you have no right to say s—t about him 🙂. So it's best to just shut up." This statement was very well received by Jackson's many fans, as well as people who condemn sexual violence against women, and swayed the vast majority of people who are always overreacting to his harmless, charming antics, like when he threw water on other fans, danced on a dead player's number or trashed a restaurant that rudely wouldn't serve his large, unannounced, late-night party. Hang in there, Jackson. We love you!
  11. No, I am aware. OKC, Moore & Norman all blend into one. But for some reason, Moore always seems to get the direct hit and OKC and Norman are spared the worst.
  12. Jesus. That's horrible. Wow. That little city is in the wrong place.
  13. Jokes aside, (and they are very funny ones) former athletes who get into trouble are sad, indeed. Yes, they may have squandered an opportunity to better themselves, but they make lack guidance and help when they stop producing. Flemlo Raps tells great YouTube sports stories and gives you a perspective we rarely get. His story about what happened to Boobie Miles is worth a watch. The sad part is that Boobie was a hometown hero, and then discarded after he tore his ACL, since sports medicine was much more limited than today. People even made jokes about shooting him, like a lame horse. If you have time to watch, it's quite good.
