  1. This is 100% correct. I said basically the day after dobbs was leaked that no doctor will perform these procedures anymore. It’s can be clear as fucking day that an exception applies, and doctors still won’t do it (without some sort of TRO, court clearance, etc.) But why if it clearly qualifies as an exception? Because the only GUARANTEED way to not get indicted for a 1st degree felony is to just not perform abortions.
  2. This makes sense. I was not factoring in the fees, which is a fatal error on my part.
  3. Correct, which is why I was comparing that with the option of just buying tickets now, for about $850+ face. If we don’t make it, sell those tickets to recoup some of the costs.
  4. For the Championship game? You don’t think that tickets will be well in excess of $1,300? I think you might be the first person I’ve seen make that call. ETA, to me it seems like the best “insurance” protection against massive price spike is just to buy the tickets now, and then resell if we don’t advance. I tend to think that taking an $850 loss on each seat seems highly unlikely.
  5. One reason for not proceeding would be the State of Texas threatening them with prosecution/lawsuits.
  6. So, I. Your opinion, the medical providers and plaintiffs can go ahead and perform the abortion? The TRO stuff is kinda irrelevant. I think your point is that she is entitled under the current law to get an abortion and this TRO stuff was just some political ploy. Fine. The TRO being struck means that the laws as written are still there…and from what we know, she is entitled to the exception under those laws. THEN WHY IS PAXTON THREATENING TO PROSECUTE THEM?
  7. So, you’re saying that she is legally entitled to the procedure, and as proof, cite… an objection lodged by Paxton explaining why she is NOT legally allowed to get the procedure? What the fuck are you talking about? That objection clearly states that the plaintiffs do not state a medical basis for a notion that meets the requirements of the current Texas law as written. What “shenanigans” are you talking about?
  8. In 2001, 3 of Simms’ INT’s weren’t really his fault. Also, our defense struggled because we weren’t prepared for some old dude in knee braces named Jason White running all over us.
  9. Incorrect. They all had the letter “W” tattooed on them, to signify their connection with the movie “The Wood”. Not sure if that’s worse than each others initials or not, TBH.
  10. I would also add Major taking a sack that put us out of FG range. JT was literally the only thing other than a turnover that we could not allow to happen.
  11. No it’s not. We are Texas. We have a coach that is by far our preferred choice to hold the job. We will pay the amount that goes with that reality. Again, if you’re in charge, do you let him walk if he wants $9M/year and not a penny less? Then what?
  12. Agreed. I was being conservative with the hypothetical.
  13. So, if we lose the semifinal game, and Sark’s agent comes asking for an extension for another 5 years at $7M*/year, you think we should just say “nah…”?
  14. Why would they presume that the 2nd string guy was won’t be available for the CFP?
  15. Highlights aren’t good enough. Find a full replay/stream or that shit.
  16. So, if he threatens to leave if we don’t top that number, you’re saying that we just have to walk away from the table and go find someone else for cheaper?
  17. Gus Johnson? Do you have CTE or something? He is terrible. Called a game yesterday and said it was “3-nil” going to commercial.
  18. I can’t tell from the clip whether the ball was in the air when he shoved off.
  19. I mean…he did poison/murder his neighbor’s dog, so likely some truth to your point.
  20. I mean, it was BS but same result anyway. It’s weird how they changed the ruling of the thrown hat to a completion, then reviewed, announced illegal touching, THEN changed it to “guy was OB when he touched it”, which he wasn’t.
  21. Ok. This year’s TCU game is a weird data point, since you point out the 2nd half collapse where we eked out a 3 point victory. He had 10 passing attempts, completed 6 of them, for 72 yards. Our DC switched to play a bunch of extra DB’s with less pressure up front, allowing TCU to throw all over the place to score 20 points in the 4q.
  22. We passed out if it one time, so the design is there. We just haven’t dialed it since that one time.
  23. That blew my mind when I saw it live. It wasn’t even close. Also, as he walked out on the field, he intentionally walks not perpendicular to the sideline to cheat up to move his spot.
