  1. He is “against” the MRNA vaccines, referring to them as “experimental gene therapy”.
  2. Lol/. I always laugh at the notion that cops out on patrol actually go out looking for murders in progress to stop them from occurring in real time.
  3. So is Texas.
  4. Lol. The cop that put his hand on the neck of his fellow officer before shoving her is a SUPERVISOR.
  5. This whole situation poses such a dilemma for my anti-semetic Islamaphobe BIL.
  6. If this same scenario plays out with a civilian driving instead of an officer, that individual would be booked in jail already on some Joni code charges and his bad 5th grade report card would be all over the news.
  7. I have brought up the exact argument about restitution, but those in charge don’t really care. Bell County. My way of dealing with it is to just reduce or dismiss every POM assigned to me, which is usually several hundred of them. What matters in Bell County misdemeanors is mostly the letter that your last name starts with, since that’s how the various prosecutors are assigned. Also, to be fair…there might be one or two attorneys in the whole office that would ever take a POM case to trial, so the significance of this issue is relatively minor, which is kinda your point. * Importantly, all of this is somewhat irrelevant since our LEA’s are still making the same amount of weed arrests as before, we accept virtually all of them, and deals are cut with no testing being done/forced.
  8. The private labs that my office uses charges $250ish for the necessary test, the cost of which, can be passed on to the Defendant.
  9. To your friend, I just say “casinos”.. Same situation and nowhere near a few years away.
  10. My BIL had a cool Instagram post the other day, pointing out that Bob Saget got his booster 6 weeks before being found dead.
  11. My only issue with that data is that the range goes back to May, so, IMO, delta is over-represented, with respect to giving us insight into Omicron.
  12. Delivery of a CS, to wit: Lysergic acid diethylamide
  13. First time with this but results were pretty solid. I brined/cured/smoked a brisket flat to make pastrami. Then I reubenized it.
  14. It’s the opposite, really. I’m lucky to have only caught those two cases in my youth.
  15. I used to have clients that could not have even a Class C “ticket” for a disorderly conducts w/losing that clearance. They don’t fuck around.
  16. Fixed my prior post, since I botched the original so bad. That post was in response to Cement’s analysis about boosters.
  17. Spaghetti a la chitarra with clams/sauce.
  18. Interesting. What line of work are you in? I ask because Anastasis seems to have the diametrically opposite view on this specific point.
  19. DWI is a misdemeanor. Felony was unrelated. Felony deferred in 1992, age 18. DWI conviction from 1997. Licensed in 2005.
  20. I’m a licensed attorney with a DWI conviction and a first degree felony deferred adjudication on it record. Got licensed with no probationary period (brief hearing required). Now I’m actually a prosecutor. DWI is widely considered a crime often committed by “people that aren’t generally criminals”.
  21. The current ignition interlock devices have to be serviced and calibrated pretty often, and those services are not free. I just can't wait for the insurance companies to pas all of the savings back to policyholders as a result of the reduced claim payouts.
  22. You can, if a certain span of time has passed and you write an essay or some shit.
  23. I had a judge launch into me about wearing a mask on the fucking elevator with her. She’s 100% certified looney toons, which is hilarious (but sad) since one of her main duties is presiding over the mental commitment docket.
  24. I mean, probably not. The stat was for new cases. “Same day” fatalities aren’t really a thing, obviously.
