  1. Looks like they didn't blink.
  2. We think NOT!
  3. Worth repeating!
  4. Love those Meatchicken fans expressions!
  5. Learned a valuable yet painfully expensive lesson just a moment ago. Ate breakfast at Dixie House on Hulen and the wife reminded that we needed to get a pie for the New Year meal we are serving with friends tomorrow. The chocolate pie in the case looked promising, so had that added to breakfast bill. The total was $92.07, which seemed a little steep, so I asked for a receipt. Turns out, the pie was $39.00 . The prices for a whole pie are not posted and for good reason. Moral of the story, COSTCO is your friend and doesn't have desserts for *$&%^#^#%@%%$^ dollars!
  6. Always a favorite at the Forest Park location. Enchiladas Ole for dinner after lunch here.
  7. Thanks for the rec. Will check it out next time when over in Dallas.
  8. Going to watch on Sunday.
  9. There are a shit ton of angry TCU fans who are now scrambling to get a flight to Phoenix for the CFP after their flights were cancelled. Houston, Austin, and any other city is what friends have reported but rental cars are likely all gone as well. Herb Kelleher must be turning over in his grave watching his once proud little airline circling the drain like this. While I've never had an issue with them, this sudden tsunami of cancellations, delays, overworked customer service reps, pilots, flight attendants may well force them out of the market.
  10. Winner of the PantherCityHorn post of the day.
  11. Only once when friends took us there and bought the meal. Haven't seen a reason to return based on that visit.
  12. I bought a package of the choice NY strips this week and grilled one last night. After choosing ribeyes for years, I found this steak to be my new favorite and will be buying them going forward. Love the fact that the FW COSTCO opens their doors 15-30 minutes early during holidays which makes parking, getting what I need, and being home in less than an hour a bonus.

  14. Sent you a message. Hope to hear from you.
  15. The wife and I go on Tuesdays when they open and the first thing we get are the ribeyes. Buy them four to a pack, cut them in half due to their thickness, and steak Sunday is set for the month. The butchers at COSTCO here in FW are very helpful and have always been willing to do special cuts when asked.
  16. Well said. This location and the one at 35/28th street were both in rotation back in the day. Their calf fries were definitely an acquired taste but one that never disappointed.
  17. Maybe Ed got wise and put shock collar on Sasha.
  18. Our Florida based home insurance company went tits up in September. Surely they will refund the premium back to our escrow account for the last two months (yeah, RIGHT!). Went back to my old reliable Texas Farm Bureau and look forward to smooth sailing.
  19. That has depth-some of my sponsees will be hearing this in the coming days. Thanks.
  20. Now THIS IS HOW YOU SURLY and win the internets for a day. Has kind of a Mel Gibson Braveheart ring to it, yes?

The meat coma is not to be trifled with!
  22. We sat in section 209 on the club level after friends tested positive and provided tickets. When it was 24-7 and Spencer Sanders was making the TCU defense look clueless, I was sure that the game had been decided. Sonny Dykes has TCU playing until the last whistle and they forced their will on Okie Lite in the fourth quarter to tie the game up. Thought it was a mistake not going for two because the OSU defense was spent and ripe for another Duggan miracle. Success breeds success and the Frogs got another win in a game that should have been lost-they will be a stern test for Texas when they come to Austin I believe. The worst part of the day was sitting in Lot 3 for over an hour and NOT MOVING TWO FEET when leaving the stadium, something that should be addressed by TCU and FWPD.

GTFO!!!! Fried yardbird is not filet mignon and that is price gouging at it's finest. Hopefully the market will rebel and ignore this horseshit pricing.

These guys look like they know what they're doing and the combinations offered insure my next trip to Austin will include a visit. Is it take out only or seating available? Waiting is no problem as I am retired and have all the time necessary for places like this. That said, what time would you suggest? Thanks for your post.
  25. The sad thing about this picture is that such perfection only occurs every quarter of the year. The days of "hot, fresh, made to order" which is why this burger was superior to all others are but a memory imho. But I still go and hope to experience what your picture shows.
