  1. Sonny had him second string last year until Morris got hurt-talk about catching lightning in a bottle. The loss of experience and leadership from the team that got to the MNC game really showed up, but the most impressive thing about yesterday is the fact that Colorado put a team on the field that still hasn't learned each other's names yet and ripped the Frogs a new one in front of the largest crowd in Amon Carter stadium history.
  2. It was worth the drive from Nocona to enjoy such excellent enchiladas.
  3. Holy Mother of God-if heaven doesn't have these on the menu, I'll have to consider other eternal options.
  4. Sadie gets tenderloin for the next few weeks. Gotta go wipe the dust out of my eyes now. Good doggo Sadie-AUS-97HORN good dog owner.
  5. Have enjoyed meals at every location but always look forward to Parker County Peach Custard at Curly's in July.
  6. Was indeed-it became a church after it closed as a theatre.
  7. From your mouth to God's ear.
  8. Some things just make my day-this being one of them!!!

    Texas BBQ

There is a special place in the bottom of the outhouse in hell for this scumbag m'fer. That way he can eat sh!t eternally and never die for this theft.
  10. Aventino's is solid. Haven't been there recently, but never have had a meal that didn't impress. Dixie House adds 4% when you use your credit card/debit card. Their prices have increased since Covid and now the Westside Cafe on 80 West is my go to. I miss the days when Peter Schroeder owned the Old Neighborhood Grill and Mike (RIP) owned Paris Coffee shop, the two best breakfast places in FW and prices that were fair compared to all others.
  11. Obligatory "What comes out of a Chinaman's ass?"
  12. The last scene when the credits roll is golden. Go see what I mean, no spoiler here.
  13. Had Panther City ribs on Tuesday and the Texas trio at Hurtado's in Arlington on Wednesday. God it has been a glorious week.
  14. Internets award winner of the month.
  15. That is what they call a dead heat in horse racing-both are excellent and almost too close to call a winner.

Good old days syndrome is setting in-but at 70, that's more the norm than the exception.
  17. Agree-saw a lot of Moonrise Kingdom style in this new one, which was entertaining.

    Tony Joe White hat tip.
  19. Just read the tragic news and will be remembering you and your family in the days ahead. It is a gift of sobriety to be able to be present and in service to others (especially family) and I know you will be a source of comfort to those you love. Grieving with you in this loss as I remember so many did when my son died of an overdose in 2021. Please let us be there for you.

Truth. And NOBODY has ever been arrested for driving under the influence of BBQ, so there's that.
  21. Between this and missing the opportunity at age 7 to meet Dobie Gillis at the HEB in Corpus, I don't know how I can go on.
  22. I'd say the median age was 60 on our trip, with low end being 40 and high end 80+. It's definitely an older crowd.
  23. We just returned from this cruise (our first river cruise and first time with Viking). Truly impressive/outstanding service from beginning to end on Viking. Enjoyed Vienna, Salzburg, and Budapest. We had received information for twenty years from Viking and always said someday-now it will likely be where to next based on the wonderful experience we shared with our friends and the crew of Viking Atla.
  24. Saw this as a kid at the drive in during a rainstorm. Had the same reaction with nightmares the following week.
  25. Guy Ritchie is a favorite of mine and this one kept me entertained.
