  1. But you can’t vary your raise size based on your hand, esp in a “regular group” tourney. We need to also be able to squeeze here sometimes IMO.
  2. How deep are y’all? I know button started wjth 9k or so what about you and MP?
  3. Close between OU and Oregon. Keep in mind by then the loss comparison could easily be Oregon lost neutral to 8-4 Auburn and OU lost road to 9-3 Kansas State so not “easily” the worst loss unless you just mean as compared between OU and Bama. Also possible by then that OU has 4 wins over teams in final rankings (Texas, OSU, Baylor, title game) and Bama and Oregon have one each (Auburn and Utah).
  4. MP is either a liar or you should relentlessly bluff him and also help him tie his shoes. I don’t think the AT play was bad. Your raise size was tiny esp being out of position.
  5. The 538 numbers seem about right IMO. The 3% for Wisky would be when they are B1G champs which they can still do. Zero or 1 loss SEC champ is a lock Zero or 1 loss B1G champ is a lock Unbeaten Clemson is a lock Unbeaten Baylor is a lock After that the stew gets murky. I think a 2 loss SEC champ is still a lock bc it will be coming off a win over 12-0 LSU. But how would a 11-2 SEC champ Florida compared with 12-1 SEC runner up LSU when they split the series and LSU win at Texas while Florida played two FCS games? 11-2 SEC champ UGA prob compares a bit better and is almost surely in. I think 12-1 OU and 12-1 Oregon are extremely close. I think 12-1 OU goes over 12-1 Utah. I think all these teams are probably behind a 12–1 tOSU or 12-1 LSU that lost its conf title game. 12-1 Baylor is behind all of the above and also prob behind 12-1 ACC champ Clemson but ahead of 12-1 non champ Clemson. I think 11-1 Bama is right at the same line as 12-1 Baylor or Clemson. Same for an 11-2 B1G champ Wisky. Should be a fun month!
  6. Well I guarantee during the game I didn’t want them to go for 2. I thought OU’s chances were much better in OT than to stop one play. You seem to agree with that so I dunno why you think I wouldn’t feel that way at the time.
  7. Mullet you don’t seem to be disagreeing with me. I said they absolutely should have gone for 2. I said as an OU fan I was hoping they kicked because kicking gave OU a better chance to win the game. I totally agree with your post.
  8. I offered a wager. They’ve never done it before and I don’t think they will do it now.
  9. When a boxer has someone on the ropes do they want to finish them now or let them get to the end of the round, recover, and come out refreshed for the next round? Also, guarantee if they kick and OU wins in OT the huge majority of naysayers would then say they should have just killed them when they had the chance. And good news! We have our own 5 star recruit now!
  10. I’ll bet anyone who wants it that Bama doesn’t go over a 0 or 1 loss champion from any P5 league other than a 1 loss ACC champ. Also Indiana over KSU and OSU is dreck. Indiana has 0 top 50 wins. ZERO. They have a 40+ point loss and also lost while giving up 40 to a bad 4-5 Sparty team.
  11. I have had it, and Al is 100% correct. It's REALLY good. It's also a $5 fast food chicken sandwich. Not worth waiting in giant lines or taking trips to Suplex City for. The lines are just so simpletons can say they have had the hot new thing. Let the mouthbreathers get their 15 minutes then swoop in and enjoy.
  12. I would bet money that Bama isn't selected over an unbeaten or 1-loss P5 champion. I think it's a lock they aren't, if UGA beats Auburn.
  13. LOL I also remember this. It was at Baylor and A&M was ranked and heavily favored. Dave South's call was the best ever. You hear him start the play call, pause, then you hear the dozens and dozens of Bear fans erupt in cheers and he is just silent for what feels like an eternity then mutters "Baylor wins"
  14. Going for 2 was absolutely the right call. As a Sooner fan, I promise you I would have MUCH rather they kicked at the time. For those saying ISU had the momentum, exactly. OU was completely rattled. OT lets both teams regroup and settle in. Take advantage right now. Also, there weren't 0 seconds left on the TD. OU still has 3 timeouts and 25 seconds and a solid kicker. Even if ISU is 50% to win in OT (they aren't), they wouldn't be 50% to win the game by kicking, because OU will get a GWFG some percent of the time. Plus, ISU will have to beat OU's offense in OT. They just have to beat their D to get the 2 point conversion, which is obv much easier. I think OU got on the bus to Waco at halftime thinking it was in the bag. Congrats to ISU on putting up a hell of a fight when lots of teams would have just lost 52-21.
  15. I predict hysteria Tuesday because Bama will be like 5 or 6 but the committee doesn’t “look forward” to anticipate no conference title for them. Teams will pass them when they win conference championships. I think they are done barring an extremely unlikely collapse by LSU which gets Bama the division or there aren’t four one-loss or unbeaten conference champs.
  16. Ha I’m surprised it took this long. That said, I didn’t say I’m ok with it, but I understand. The scholarship, while valuable, doesn’t do you any good when your mom is being evicted or you need to travel home for a funeral or your family wants to watch you play in one of the most historic venues in college football. You can’t get that back in the future.
  17. Low stakes tourneys are entertainment expense with possibility of money at the end. Have certainly spent $20 on worse shit than a tourny against the truly clueless lol.
  18. And you can't exchange those goods and services for things like food or entertainment or family medical bills or plane tickets for your family to watch you play in the Rose Bowl. Those things require cash.
  19. What Zwylde said. Click on any of the events to get a structure sheet that will show you the starting chips, blind levels, etc., for a given event.
  20. When you play a team that is largely considered a top 5 team and you break their star player and put him out for the season, it should at least be considered yes. It isn’t like he blew his knee at practice after. I also don’t think it’s worth the same as beating an end-of-season top 5 team but is better than a random 6-6 win.
  21. Which 0 or 1-loss P5 conference champ was left out for Bama? Oh, that’s right, none. Also that Bama team lost on the road, not at home, and had two wins over top 20 teams plus annihilated a preseason top 5 FSU, breaking their QB in the process so they spiraled to 6-6.
  22. Three hands are on the table - 44, JTs, AK. I can let you pick first and still be the favorite no matter which hand you pick.
  23. Beating 6-3 Pitt by a TD isn’t the same as fading a 2 point conversion that beats you against a sub 500 UNC. Penn State’s resume is better. Clemson is a better team. I think the delta between resumes is bigger than that between team strength.
  24. They don’t “suck.” I weary of this silly mindset that 4 or 5 of the 130 teams don’t “suck.” They are among the 20 best teams in college football and dwarf any accomplishment that Clemson has this season. “Not elite” “sucks”.
  25. Penn State won at Iowa and beat Michigan.
