  1. Applying to private dorms is kinda a pain in the ass.
  2. Yeah, this guy defended Oprah, in a suit brought by cattle ranchers, in Amarillo, and won. I suspect he’s got a trick or two up his sleeve for Blake.
  3. Looks like she filed something in Texas to compel a deposition which, I guess, subjects her to some jurisdiction in Texas. This guy has entered the arena https://www.jw.com/people/charles-babcock/ His resume indicates he’s got some experience. It’s getting warmer now.
  4. There's a taco restaurant in Dumas called Frieda's Burritos. Would eat again.
  5. Dumas Hampton inn is older but better than Dalhart Hampton Inn.
  6. My favorite is the “I’m not afraid to testify - I’m ready for my deposition - I don’t need to prep, I’m telling the truth” crowd. After the all day depo they always say something like “that wasn’t that bad, right?” uh, yeah, I’ve seen worse.
  7. Someone needs to be beaten on and bloodied, by legal process and legal fees, for a lengthy period of time, before they’ll see the reasonableness of a settlement. Not enough bloodletting yet - just getting warmed up.
  8. From the looks of the pictures I suspect she’ll move on and find someone else to pay for the party.
  9. http://www.yahoo.com/news/alleged-drug-kingpin-caught-wife-182908822.html i would be upset if my wife did this to me.
  10. As someone that has sailed a traditional sailing warship, for a time, has stood at the spot (on the deck of the Victory) where Lord Nelson fell, and fired cannons in Greenwich, Portsmouth, Newport and Lisbon (almost Cadiz), I offer these observations: 1. Those mf’ers are heavy. If they started rolling around once, I bet changes were made such that it didn’t happen again. Victory had 32 pounders (cannons that fired 32 pound cannon balls). 2. They were at sea. Oftentimes the Atlantic, which can be nasty. The ships rolled around a lot. The notion that these cannon balls we’re sitting around watching the thermometer drop and then, “voila!” sorta defies common sense. Imagine the ship bouncing and rolling around a bunch. 3. Most of these sailors were uneducated. The saying about the British Navy was it was run by rum, sodomy and the lash. I doubt they spent much time thinking about metal thermodynamics. I think people like the story because it blends a little history with a little salty talk. There is more interesting and better history about naval warfare. Some of it salty too.
  11. I’ve never been to Philadelphia. mid I were to go food 3-4 days in May or June, where should I stay, and what should I do?
  12. UT has a framework for auto admit homeschool. I think it’s something like 33 on the ACT and you’re in.
  13. 3/3 now, UT said yes for major choice 2, wait until 2/15 for first choice. Good luck to the rest of all y'all.
  14. Sorry for partying.
  15. "He piled upon the whale’s white hump the sum of all the general rage and hate felt by his whole race from Adam down; and then, as if his chest had been a mortar, he burst his hot heart’s shell upon it."
  16. Fly fisherman now, but in a past life…
  17. You’re a glass half full guy. Must be nice. I’m a litmus test guy. A Tex Mex place should get some things right, no matter what. Chips Salsa Guacamole Cheese enchiladas Cold Beer Frozen margarita Beef Fajitas Crispy tacos If I’m hunting through some white queso dipped pecan stuffed rosemary chicken thigh to find the good stuff at a Tex Mex place, I’m just not. I’ve already left and won’t return. Every time I went to Trudy’s it was at the behest of some crowd and likely suggested by some wimmens. I had good times there but it wasn’t the food or the b.s. Mexican martinis.
  18. Wait a minute - you’re saying that there’s no such thing as a bad restaurant - just an ignorant customer? If I was better informed… I would t order the bad food? Vehemently disagree. Also, those martinis sucked too.
  19. I could tell you, but then I would have to ...
  20. What's the furry stuff on the hanger for the Les Paul? Do I need some of that?
  21. "Thank you, your pedals will arrive in 6-8 weeks." Yes, they're "free," I guess I shouldn't complain. However, if Amazon can get me a sex robot, a gallon of coconut oil, and a Spanish senorita costume to my house in 72 hours or less... Why 6-8 weeks (42-56 days)? Amazon.com: Women's Spanish Senorita Costume, Red and Black Spanish Dancer Dress, Spain Celebration Dress Halloween Outfit : Clothing, Shoes & Jewelry
  22. Thanks for the help you all.
  23. We got 2 kinds of neighbors. 1. They'll think it's funny and awesome that our son has a loud ass amp, they support him because he's a cool kid, and they're fun. 2. They're fake, they do the bare minimum to keep up appearances, and they're certain that if only I would move out, the Rockefellers and Jeff Bezos would move in and take their rightful places with the royalty and stuckuppers. For both, I feel very strongly that more wattage is the answer.
  24. We played with a PRS MT15 at guitar center and that sumbitch was loud. Likely louder than his Boss Katana 50. I predict we have a tube amp before Memorial Day and I’ll need guidance on combo or head/cabinet, etc. Also, how do you match a cabinet to a head? So… 2 free Maestro pedals. Leader in the clubhouse looks like Overdrive, Delay and Compressor.
  25. Boss Katana 50 amp with air step. Basically use laptop to dial in effects, use 4 button pedal to on/off them. Software has unlimited options but I’m sure legit pedals through a tube amp is more authentic than tone simulators or whatever the hell this is. Wah pedal between guitar and air step. Right now he’s playing Red Hot Chili Peppers but it is ever changing. Next up will be buying a nicer amp so not married to current amp. Not that we need all that but once you get locked into a serious collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.
